Avatar m tn Some people hallucinate/become delusional depending on dosage. Marijuana effects everyone differently. Some become completely retarded. Some act like 5 year olds. Some feel it increases their vitality. some feel it makes them smarter, some feel it relaxes them and eases their anxiety. With that being said, from personal experience, I would stay far away from it. Especially if your having panic attacks already. Don't forget it is a fact Marijuana increases your chance of psychosis.

2023813 tn?1328781764 I used to go nuts when I tried to give up, like you, getting angry at everyone/everything. Five years ago, I had my first heart attack and decided to investigate the effects of smoking. I found it causes so many damaging effects to the body, it was frightening. Everything from the Liver to the Lungs. I also learned that statistics show 1 in every 2 smokers get a chronic illness related to smoking by the age of 40. That's just the flip of a coin.
Avatar n tn The severity of the difference would also be dependant on the length of your Herceptin treatment. Oncologists monitor these side effects very closely and I'm sure your Onc. will take this into consideration and discuss the risks of continuing your treatment. The longer the treatment the less the incidence of heart damage but each case is different. Regards ....
Avatar m tn I go to an arrithymia specialist and you might want to go to one as well. I was put on Lopressor to slow my heart rate down and honestly i like how the medication works, no side effects. I've had my heart ablated twice and now has since had a pacemaker and and had my AV node ablated. But you should always check with your doctor for further advice.
Avatar f tn I was on propanolol for one night last week at 60mg. It gave me an irregular heartbeat so I didn't even take another dose. I didn't realize it was irregular until my blood pressure monitor told me and then I took my pulse. I knew I was feeling a little crappy but didn't realize my heart was out of whack...

498385 tn?1362449404 These should be listed on the pakage. As for smoking while on the patch, you are not supposed to do it. Could it cause a heart attack......well, given that you are taking in twice the amount of nicotine, anything is possible. You really have to prepare yourself mentally for this quit......don't wear the patch until you are ready to never pick up another smoke. Nothing works when you half-a$$ it so make up your mind to put them down for good and just do it! If I did it, anyone can!

Avatar m tn Also quitting smoking may not be the problem, but it would have nothing but positive effects on your health. Quitting smoking will also help make doing excercises easier, therefore improving your heart rate. Win-win situation there. Hope that helps.
Avatar m tn This may be due to increased heart rate as well as the effects of marijuana on heart rhythms, causing palpitations and arrhythmias. Numerous studies have shown marijuana smoke to contain carcinogens and to be an irritant to the lungs. In fact, marijuana smoke contains 50-70 percent more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than tobacco smoke.
Avatar f tn There have been hundreds of studies to prove all the terrible effects smoking had on the unborn baby. Low birth weight, increased risk of miscarriage to name just two. If you measure babies heart beat before and after smoking you can see that it raises their heart rate. Same as it does the adult who is smoking. Imagine holding a cigarette to a brand new baby's mouth, would you do it? ...... no.
Avatar n tn I have been smoking marijuana for about two years with no negative effects on my body. The past three times that I have smoked I have had a "bad reaction" in which my entire body shakes uncontrollably (even my teeth), my heart feels like it's going to beat out of my chest, and I feel cold and disoriented. What causes this? What can I do to avoid it? Is it safe to continue smoking? I haven't since the last time that it happened.
Avatar f tn If you occasionally heavily binge drink(once a month or less) and this has temporary effects such as increased heart rate during drinking, muscle aches and mild stomach irritation for the next few days, is this likely to have long term effects? Also, does passive smoking from other peoples cigarettes on nights out cause any long term damage?
Avatar f tn I walk each day, currently 1 1/4 mile getting my heart rate up to 125 or so. I use a nebulizer twice a day and am on the wean off dosage of the cortisone. My question is about the discomfort I continue to have on the left side of my chest. It continues to feel bruised. There are times during the day when the pain goes away but it is there every morning when I get up. I am a thin woman and had lost weight (down to 100#) at the time of my arrest.
Avatar n tn There is not much standardized research done on this due to the illegal nature of marijuana. You can find MANY websites on the effects of cannibis and blood sugar, though and I am surprised you are on this one asking questions. Do you really think someone is gonna get on this site and admit to breaking the law????? Please!
