I still continued to smoke for a couple of days, but only a couple of puffs from my husbands cigarette 2-3 times a day, then I looked online about the effects off smoking whilst pregnant and quit straight away! There are times when I would like a cigarette but I care for my unborn baby a million times more than a dirty fag! Honestly the best thing you can do is quit, every time you smoke your babies tiny heartbeat has to beat extremely fast as it struggles for oxygen!
I'm pretty sure the effects are the same as smoking cigarettes. My mother smoked weed while pregnant with me and I had breathing problems at birth and I was taken away from her until I was 4 months old. Is it really worth any of the possible side effects. Plus it depletes your brain cells and right now your babies brain is developing very rapidly so why chance it....
Not all babies have lasting effects from the mother smoking, but no matter if they have a permanent problem or not when smoking while pregnant it constricts your blood vessels and YOUR UMBILICAL cord not allowing the proper amount of oxygen and nutrients to your baby. That is a fact, its not like that happens to only some babies, its every baby every pregnancy with anyone who smokes.
Marihuana has shown different affects on different mothers and children. The drug is actually recommended here in Colorado for mothers who suffer exstreamly nausea. It can however cause children to have a harder time later on with knowledge intake and drop them behind other children in the learning field. It can also cause caulic in newborns witch is where the child has difficulties passing gas, this will make them irritated and cause sessions of angry and crying.
I also was a weed smoker but you have got to thank about your baby I stopped for myn they will take that baby cause they test at every Dr app and they test baby at birth

But just for you info they drug test you when you go to the doctors and if you pop up possative for marijuana for more than 2 or 3 times be prepared to cps to be paying you a visit on your delivery day. They dont tell you that they drug test you but just be aware. I know for sure they do that in California but since I'm in texas I'm assuming they probably do the same. But I'm most likely going back to California when my fiance deploys.

Ok so I'm just finding out I'm pregnant. Sad to admit, I like smoking marjuanna. I know doctors suggest not smoking cigarettes while pregnant because of the toxins in the nicotine. Are there any known cases where marjuanna effects fetal development? Not saying I won't quit smoking, I do want a healthy baby, just curious.
ive smoked on and off for couple years. But i stopped for almost a year with no problems. never really a big user. but recently i smoked alot over the past week. and i stopped smoking and drinking all together a day or two later because i was feeling really wierd. i get butterflyes in my stomach, sometimes randomly feel dizzy, disconnected from people and things.. i feel the best when i wake up in the morning and then it kinda starts through out the day.
Even second hand smoke can be harmful. Ask them to smoke outside and not around you. Visit smoke free houses. Just the smell can make some women nauseous.
But do it in a nice way of course. You can explain to him the negative effects of cigarette smoking, and you don't want him to suffer from its painful effects, that you want him to live longer for your family especially for your children. You can both research of other alternative to lessen his cravings for cigarette and eventually quit it for good.
There is not much standardized research done on this due to the illegal nature of marijuana. You can find MANY websites on the effects of cannibis and blood sugar, though and I am surprised you are on this one asking questions. Do you really think someone is gonna get on this site and admit to breaking the law????? Please!
