Here it is known as Zyban, the drug to help you give up smoking altough it was initially released as an anti depressant and is still used as such. I've refused Zyban when suggested as it had some nasty early side effects reported some years ago now. I'm told it's OK today but my memory says to me "Don't risk it". Hello. I've quit smoking for 3 weeks now after 32 years of smoking. I am using the patch and my doctor put me on zyban when I saw her sept 5 because I couldn't stop crying. The crying has gotten better I feel terrible. I think I'm obsessed with my breathing to the point where I feel it all the time. My chest feels tight. I feel myself inhaling all the time. He/she could give you zyban which will also help with quitting smoking or they may put you on something else. If the breathlessness is really bothering you, have your lungs checked with your doctor also.
