I am 12 weeks and cut it down to 5-6 cigs a day the last month. My situation is very stressful abd has been very hard to quit.Im so nervous it affects the baby's development. Is it possible?

By greatly affect I mean by affect it would be causing problems in nearly every system of either nervous system. Such as having exaggerated symptoms from the Sympathetic Nervous System on a constant basis.

First of all could it be this patch you are using to stop smoking. I have been around my brother when he's used a patch for this reason. The side affects were unbelievable. There is so much chemicals in these things. And are you cheating at all and smoking? I've had FM for about 15 years. I've never had this type of pain. It does sound heart related. It all depends on your body and immune system. Few people could get affected easily with smoking. But anyhow smoking affects the body.

It is okay to be nervous and worried when you are going through this in my opinion. First of all, I commend you for quitting smoking during your pregnancy...that demonstrates a mature attitude towards this in my opinion. Quitting smoking can cause anxiousness on it's own, but have you had a history of anxiety? Do you have acceess to counseling to help you during this time? I know around me there is multiple avenues to take.

But think stays in your system for a mth, and remember everything she does affects the baby, same with breast feeding!

I had an Autonomic Nervous System Test last Monday. I thought this test would be a piece of cake and no pain, no problems. Wow...what a mistake that was. nicotine is a powerful drug that messes with your nervous system. i have quit many times. just get through it. i am trying hylands nerve pills. i am not totally sure how they are working because i am taking a lot of stuff but the hylands restful legs worked so completely i realized that these little babies have something going for them . cheap too.

I started smoking a bit about 20 cigarettes and then I stopped. then in about April I did about another 6-7 more and stopped again. then In summer I did just another 6-7 and then stopped for good because I'm scared about getting cancer.
