lump

throat) doctor because she was also having sore throats all the time. The ENT said that it's her gland swollen from infection and that he could remove her tonsils and that should take care of it. She's afraid of that though so we're not going to do it right now.
Hi, my boyfriend works in freezers 5 days a week and has had a persistent cold for years which comes and goes, 3 years ago I found a small movable lump on the right side of his neck halfway between the bottom of the ear lobe and the collarbone. Could the two possibly related, I was sure it was an enlarged lymph node that hadn't gone back down to size after an infection. It's very small and moves around and is soft not hard.
I have had a lump in my neck for 7 years. I have buried my head about it till now afraid of what it may be. The lump is non painfull and about the size of a marble. It is slightly visible and protrudes maybe a tenth of an inch from neck. it has grown very slightly in the seven years. The lump is hard and mobile under skin. it feels like its attached to the skin underneath. the skin over it is normal colored. it is located directly in the middle front of neck just beneath my adams apple.
Hi, My son (now 7) had these lumps in his neck and groin - small, moved around, pretty much like the one you described. We have Hogkins disease in the famaily, so the surgeon removed them to send for hystology. It turned out that he has an "over active immune system" and although he didn't seem ill, his body thought he was. Apparently you need to worry if the lump grows, causes pain or become immoveable.
I have a small lump on my neck, it is on the right side about halfway up. It is quite small, probably not much bigger than a pea and it feels like it is located on the neck muscle (of course I suppose it could be behind it and pushing the muscle, I am not qualified to say but I don’t think so). I have played sport before and it feels to me exactly like the kind of scar tissue you can get after a pulled muscle.
If it moves it most likely can be cancerous. I have had the same exact lump that you have. It was small then it kept on getting larger and I was scheduled to go in for a surgery procedure to get it removed. Well don't you know the day before my surgery, the lump totally went away so I cancelled the surgery. A couple of months later the lump came back and got really big. on the outside it looked like a golf ball. So I got really worried and ended up going in for surgery to get it removed.
HI, I'm a 23 year old female. I have had a small pea-sized lump in my left armpit for... a long time. I really can't remember for how long I've had it now, it could be as much as a year, or as little as 4 months. At first I though it was just an ingrown hair from shaving/waxing and as I do for other bumps of this kind, I've been waiting for a sign of the hair to surface or a 'whitehead' so to speak, to form so that I could clear it out with a needle if it didn't go on it's own.
I am 21 years old and I have had a lump behind my jaw, on my neck, for about 5 or 6 years now. My lump, however, is internal and does not feel like cystic acne. I have been to several doctors and none of them can tell me what it is. I think it is possibly a swollen gland. I try so many things to make it go away, but it just won't. Does your lump seem more internal (like a gland) or external (like acne)?
I am now 23 and considering getting rid of whatever it is because I am too having trouble breathing and I feel that it is affecting a nerve on that side that makes it harder to hear when the nerve swells up. I also get terrible headaches and my left side of my entire neck and throat feel heavy. So I would get it checked out as soon as possible because these side effects are not fun and very aggrivating.
My Three month old i notice has a small lump almost pea size on the back of his head, almost where the neck and head join. It moves around freely and does not seem to bother him in any way but i am obviously concerned as a new mum. Does anyone know whether this could be someting to worry about or is it something that generally can happen. I have thought maybe its a gland etc but am not happy with not knowing for sure.
However, I noticed that when I move my neck to the right the lymph node sticks out more and it almost moves. Not sure if this is normal?
Im a 25 year old female smoker. I noticed last night that I have a small lump on the right side of my next towards the middle. The lump is under the skin and it feels like it moves a little or maybe its the skin moving over it. I was thinking it was a swollen lymph node but I haven't been sick or had any sort of infection. There is no pain at all which freaks me out! I do have night sweats some nights. Does this sound like something I should be worried about?
what is difference between a lump that moves and does not move in a dog's body? my female dog, mixed breed, 9 years old has a large mass on the right side of her upper body. originally i believe a woman i had to stay with kicked sassy, and the vet said it would go away that it was a hemotoma from the kick. it is getting larger, and has become solid and unmovable. now there are smaller lumps developing all over her under the skin, some move, some do not.
Does she seem to eat slower than before, or having any difficulty chewing her food? Is the swelling like a kind of lump? If so, is it a lump that when you push it with your fingers it feels soft and moves about quite freely, or does it seem like a solid mass? -Or is the swelling bigger than that and more widespread?
i got a small bump behing my ear when i feel it it moves a bit i was confuesed because i dont know if it is normal i havent been ill so i dont know why it is there also i havent got one on the other ear????????
My 05 years old son has a lump in his neck for 7 months. The lump is non painfull and about the size of a small marble. It is slightly visible and protrudes may be a tenth of an inch from neck. It has grown very slightly in the seven months. The lump is hard and mobile under skin. It feels like its attached to the skin underneath. Thought it might be a knot on the levator scapulae or other nearby muscle, or maybe just the way.
To anyone out there who knows I'm knew here and helped me realise I'm hypothyroid, please could you help me urgently again now because I've just found a small lump about 3mm in my thyroid and I'm scared stiff. Those of you who have helped me know that my TSH is 4.6, but here in the UK they class that as normal so I'm having great difficulty getting treatment as it is. But is it possible to get a lump if you are hypothyroid?! I thought you only get lumps if you are hyperthyroid? Does anyone know?
I have not had any real trauma to my head other than hitting a patch of ice while skiing. Assuming the dermatologist was correct in that it isn't cancerous but just a "lump of fat", is it normal for fat tissue to form on a person's head and gradually grow?
Also sometimes, when I push my neck neck towards that area (i don't really know how to describe that), I feel like a pinch in that area. Would just a muscle knot provoke all those symptoms? Additional details: I am athletic (soccer, running) and I also lift weight. I have cut down a lot on weightlifting due to this condition though. Weightlifting seems to affect it. I've had this thing for over 6 months now and I am seriously losing my mind. Someone help please !
It is very deep beneath the skin. Sore to the touch. I have also have a small lump beneath an obvious hair folical that is clearing up as well that I noticed a week ago it is already beginning to shrink. The main thing is once you get a lump to get treatment started asap before the body walls it off which is why I had to have surgery. Any other lumps I have found over the years have been treated via antibiotics and have cleared up within a few weeks.
But rest assured that removal of your tonsils would solve a large part of your problem if your tonsils are collecting food debris that are decaying into tonsil stones. But as in my case, very small food particles can still randomly become trapped in your throat somewhere. But this is no where near a big of a problem as when I actually had my tonsils and they were erupted with tonsil stones. So getting my tonsils removed was a huge benefit for me, and would be for anyone with tonsil stones.
However the same time I found the lump I also noticed her lymph nods in her neck were swollen. She is 15 mns now. My mother in law said my husbands lymp nods was like that when he was little. I asked my ped and he said just to watch it and make sure it dosen't get bigger. Should I get a second opinon?
I have hard small lumps on the under-tongue where the duct lining and middle of the under tongue (that flap that kind of holds the tongue in place) since last Sunday-9 days ago. I also have a lump below my left jaw line that swelled that night that I noticed the hard nodules under my tongue. I have been very tired since then. My mom also said that my cheeks look bigger than normal..more like the jaw line - above it - and i feel no pain there.
I freaked out when I felt that large lump on the top part of the inside of my vagina. In my case I just stuck my finger up there to make sure I didn't have a tampon there before I put another in. It felt like half the size of a gulf ball! I'm a hypochondriac as it is but this is nothing to worry over! That big hard lump is your cervix. All vaginas are straight for an inch or two then have that lump and take a deep curve.
It seems to get bigger and smaller. It moves a little bit. The ball is on my left side on my ribs. I noticed yesterday that my whole left side Burt as well, the ball hurt, my arm hurt and felt weak, my thigh thigh hurt, thef side of my back and neck hurt. My right thigh hurt but that was from yoga the otherday. My right thigh was hurting before I found the ball on Thursday. Could the ball be causing all the pain on my left side??? What could this ball be???
I have a large lump on my rib that is right below my left breast. It is not in my breast but below my breast.I had a tumor removed a year ago in my right breast, which was benign, but this is strange. It is very large and very distinctive. Can you have a tumor on your rib and not in your breast that might be Breast cancer and what do you think it can be. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
After I had finished reading the other post, I decided that I had held this long enough, when I took the cloth from the lump I noticed that there was a lot of brown puss coming from the lump. I am so glad that I found this site and that you all have had the same problem, being that I don't have any insurance I haven't been to the doctor for this. Now I am wondering how long it will be before the lump is completely gone since the puss has begun. Please help me.
I have had 2 cervical fushions and believe that my ear pain comes from my neck injury. I hurt in my ear behind my ear and in my face....I also have severe head aches that are one sided....Good luck to you...
