Within a day or so started getting really itchy bumps on the side of my elbow, back of arms, forearms and inside bicep and somewhat minor irritation under armpits and down rib cage (not so bad along rib cage) I thought it was a heat rash or something so i kinda just let it go for a few days ( scratching of course took place).. as the days went by it seemed to get worse and more red spots and itchiness...

3 weeks on and we are still itchy at times and sometimes not the little red bumps have nearly stopped im not entirely sure as its hard to distinguish new ones to a degree. But after 3 weeks the itching persists im not sure whether is scabies or not and what you would recomend if you also think its scabies. The doctor told my girlfriend that it wasnt scabies but everything points to it.

Thanks for all of your advice on itchy arms - I have suffered this problem for 30 years -it is getting much worse now as I get older - calamine lotion used to help years ago when it was mild -then i started taking antitistimines and they helped for a few years, but now at 55 even they no longer work. It is much worse in the summer months.
I am having the same itchy arms nightmare as everyone else on this post. I am a 29 year old male on Florida's gulfcoast. It started in early July I would say and my arms and scalp have been on fire for two months straight. I thought it was from a highly chlorinated swimming pool for about a week and then it never stopped. I have litterally scratched my skin off of the back of my head and top of my right arm below the elbow. I have no known allergies and would consider myself in superb health.
I have small red blister type bumps that appear in small group on both lower arms. When I itch the bumps, they bleed slightly and eventually scab over before disappearing in a few days. I've tried hydrocortisone cream and other lotions but nothing works. I know it's not scabies. Any help?
If broken, they produce a sticky clear-yellowish substance that dries hard and waxy again, but does not seem to wash off. The bumps on my arms and chest have stayed the same over the 5 months, on the other hand, the bumps on my beard have spread from chin, to sideburns, cheeks, eyebrows, around the nose and scalp. I notice these bumps seem to appear more if I do not shave my face.
Hello, A little over a week ago, my boyfriend woke up with a cluster of small red itchy bumps (4 or 5) on his arms. At first, we believed them to be insect bites. In a day or two, they seemed to get better, but then more would appear (on his arms, an upper part of his chest which touches his underarm, etc... ). He thinks they spread when he scratches them, because his newest ones seemed to have worsened, as they have become redder and more blotchy.
On my neck, scalp, edge of face, shoulders, chest and back. NEVER below my waist and not on my arms. Not fleas or bed bugs (they turn up at random times even when I'm not staying at my house for prolonged periods). Not puss-filled. Not scabby except when I've scratched so much that they bleed. Sometimes one on its own (say, on my stomach), sometimes in clusters of three or so (like on my back). I've checked between my fingers (webbing) and there's no sign of scabies. What can they be?
I have multiple bumps on my arms and legs. I am not sure about my ears, but they itch too, just not as much as my legs and arms. Please tell me any over the counter medications I can take. I don't want to go to the doctor's office for this because I don't want to use up my parents money. Please respond to my e-mail: ***@****.
com/blog/a-new-explanation-for-intensely-itchy-arms/ It could be brachioradial pruritus. It started on my arms not long ago, and the above link is what I found that makes the most sense for me.
But I can't help scratching it. It is on my arms, legs, back, upper chest, and ears. But I am still not sure if it is getting better. Please help ASAP!
I have small itchy bumps that have appeared on my arms, legs and now chest. They're not red and they're not clustered together. They're kind of sporatic and they itch constantly. Any ideas on what it might be?
I put some hydrocortisone and also tried this psoriasis cream and they are not as raised as they used to be but still red spots.

When I at them, I noticed I had small bumps on my skin. They were spread out with one on one hand, two on my arm, etc. They were pretty small and I had no idea what caused them. I began having fainting spells at the sane time but those have stopped since I quit one of my medicines. The bumps have not gone away and instead are spreading and getting bigger.
To small skin coloured bumps have come up on my thumbs and they are really itchy will they go eventually?
, so Lupus was ruled out. My family doctor did a chest xray that was normal. The bumps are on my legs, upper arms, elbows, upper legs, buttocks, and here and there other places. Neither doctor has been able to help me. It's driving me nuts!
For a couple days, I have been getting small itchy bumps on my stomach. They are about the size of a small pimple. Some are red, some are skin colored. My skin has been itchy all over, not just my stomach. I thought it was an allergic reaction, so I took some Benadryl last night before I went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, they were still there. Now they are all over my thighs too, and a couple on my arms. The new ones are all skin colored. What could this be and how do I get rid of it?
