Common Questions and Answers about Slim fast meal planning

slim-fast

Avatar f tn hi has any one done the slim fast diet----(milkshakes) and lost weight. How lond could u go on for? I'm planning to go on it but will do only one shake for dinner and have breakfast and lunch as normal.
Avatar f tn You need real food. I wouldn't use slim fast as a meal replacement.
Avatar f tn That is what diatitions are for HOWEVER each diabetic is different the diatitions try to make everybody eat the same. that does not work for controlling BG. The only way for you to see what meal plans work for you is with a BG meter. Teast before you eat Idealy your BG is under 100 (probably not if your diabetic). Count the carbohydrates in your meal. Eat. test your BG 1 hour, two hours after you eat.
Avatar n tn Im 19 and I was told that I'm prediabetic and I have no clue what to eat Im scared to eat anything I've been fasting lately. Im overweight which makes it hardly Im always freaking out after I eat. The doctors don't want to tell me much as for eating do you guys have any meal planning ideas ?
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any luck on the Slim-Fast diet? I just started it, I need to lose around 30lbs.
655875 tn?1295695107 Slim Fast was getting difficult to stay on track. I found myself cheating on the diet. My friend told me about the protien shake that Dr. Oz uses. There are a few recipes on his website. Right now I am using the Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie. It tastes awesome and it actually keeps me full for over 6 hours. I have zero cravings for food and sweets. I've cut back my dinner portion.
Avatar f tn You may want to head to a health food store and ask about a Weight Gainer Protien Shake or Liquid Meal Replacement like Ensure, Slim Fast etc. If you eat normal meals each day and add a Slim Fast drink you will gain some weight as you are adding more calories. You can also download NOOM App for free or go to My Fitness Pal online and use thier calorie counters to track your food caloric intake vs. out put.
1279364 tn?1280682588 m counting points but I am also chugging back a weight loss shake everyday as part of those points. There is no way I could ever do the Slim-Fast plan or anything like it. I just like the amount of nutrients in the form of chocolate milk i can get! Makes a great difference if I need a boost before working out or just need something to keep me going while I make dinner. ^_^ Anyways, some of them certainly don't taste very good. My favorite so far comes from Wal-Mart.
1968463 tn?1374757813 What I may do, is just make sure to also eat small meals with my meds. Or, I can do what I know works....slim fast shakes two times a day and good sensibel meal for dinnner. I honestly think that it is more the feeling bad and not being as active as normal that has me gaining weight. i just dont think that I want to go so extreme while dealing with everything else I have going on. I think that it would just be impossible for me too do anyway.
Avatar f tn Welcome to the community. Try walking at a reasonable pace. Also look into yoga as it's low impact and done at a slow very deliberate pace. Be sure to watch what you eat as well - might also help the e-coli infection.
Avatar f tn took quite a while to even start putting on weight..im 31/3 and have only gained 10 lbs...not exercising at all...diabetic so I have to follow the meal planning but not over hungry at all...baby will be fine. Try to get back to a healthier eating style, including fruits and veggies if u like and baby will be fine!
Avatar f tn Just wanted to add that I, and a friend of mine, too, upon first trying Slim Fast thought there was magic in the shake, and thought we could eat whatever we wanted and take the shake and it would somehow do the work for you. Heh, well I learned you can't do a meal and a shake and that the secret is that it is about 200 calories per can, and it fills you up with protein, vitamins and minerals, so you don't get hungry.

Avatar f tn 7 am every morning, 5 to 12 miles a day running. Has to go on an empty stomach. He now eats pretty much a full meal like pasta and chicken before bed to have energy in the morning. Ugh. That's getting old fast but he's handling it on his own, more and more. He is making a plate from dinner to have around 8 pm. Long way of saying that I feel your pain.
9764007 tn?1405807828 I'm wondering, we're you very slim before you got pregnant. My mom has always been very slim and when she started developing a tiny bit of a belly it made her feel really gross, but no one else really noticed it.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know how I can purchase the Slim Ball pills DESPERATE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn Thanks ladies I do get worried about this but I will eat bigger portions n hope it works.
Avatar f tn Also covered are discussions relating to specific diet plans like the South Beach Diet, Atkins Diet, Slim-Fast, Weight Watchers, Counting Calories, Fat Flush, Body for Life and others." "Fat Flush" is a detox diet, much like a fasting regime. "Slim-Fast" is not a natural product. I am getting confused by the terse dismissals being offered to people who have come here for support.
Avatar f tn Will that have any effect on the test? I was told to fast for two hours before hand so I was just planning to eat cereal for breakfast, would honey nut cheerios b okay to eat?
Avatar n tn I am 47 years old woman, very active and slim (at list before). The past to menstrual cycles (regular), after my period ends, in about four or five days, my breasts start getting sore and specially heavy again. In the same proportion is my belly. I always had this symptoms around a week before my period starts (could deal with this). To add more misery into it, I gained 6 pounds and can not get rid of them. Exercise even more and try to eat very good.
Avatar f tn I agree that this is a scheduling issue, but it's not necessarily a health issue, except when you aren't eating at all... that's not good. Studies show that intermittent fasting is not harmful as long as you're eating healthy food when you do eat. Some studies show that limiting your food intake to certain hours of the day is actually better for you.
Avatar f tn Im only 5+2/3 gone nowband I feel that I need to start planning for when the baby arrives ... saving money ... however my mum says im not past my 12weeks and im treating it like a joke ... I am scared about having a miscarriage but I dont want to worry I want to see the brighter side of it all and think positive ... what do you ladies think?
Avatar n tn Your education classes will most likely answer your questions regarding meal planning, etc., but I can provide you with some initial suggestions. You mentioned your husband has been put on a 75 carb/meal diet ~ that should be enough to fill him up if he's balancing those carbs with enough fat and protein. The fat and protein allow the carbs "to stay with" him longer and will allow better asorption of his insulin.
Avatar f tn Aw, I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. I, too, have chronic pain and have had it for over 20 years. I won't lie to you and say it'll get any better, unless you're on some awesome pain meds, of course, or you get that miracle blessing of it totally disappearing!
Avatar n tn yes. I'm 10 weeks and usually have to eat small amounts at a time. I get full fast and then hungry again soon after. I usually eat a small meal and then have a snack later.
Avatar f tn Turkey does like a good choice for quiznos but read online their calorie content cus i have heard its ugly!! Were you talking bout the 100 cal. snack packs? if so thats the ones i use i have a slim fast for breakfast with one it works pretty good! but only have one of those per day cus the carbs are lil bit yucky so thats all i have one per day!!
