Common Questions and Answers about Slim fast easy to digest shakes review

slim-fast

Avatar f tn 'SlimFast is something that's quick and easy, but not something I'd rely on for an extended period. I have done it for a week, but only ever replaced 1 meal/dayl with it; I ate other food as well as the shakes. I only ever use it when I'm "on the run".... ' I'd agree that this is the best way to use Slim Fast. It simply isn't healthy or sustainable to follow the full 'programme'or to do it in the long run.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any luck on the Slim-Fast diet? I just started it, I need to lose around 30lbs.
Avatar f tn Is it ok to drink slim fast while pregnant? I have gained too much weight so far. I started out tiny and now my mid section is huge! I'm not looking to lose weight but eating hurts. My lower back is in excruciating pain and I know it's from the weight gain and due to my belly sticking so far out. I'm only 25 weeks pregnant and I feel the only option is to eat tiny meals to keep up my energy because after I eat my stomach feels so tight b it just hurts.
655875 tn?1295695107 m going to quit the shakes soon to food and it should be easy for the transition. I have cut all the extra sugar, white bread and noodles, and chips out. I've even cut out the sweetners out and switch to water as my main source of liquid. I have not cheated once and I don't need those foods again. This was my biggest goal, to cut the junk and not crave it. I haven't been attempted to even eat any of the cookies that hubby has made for the kids. Peanut butter and chocolate chip.
1279364 tn?1280682588 m counting points but I am also chugging back a weight loss shake everyday as part of those points. There is no way I could ever do the Slim-Fast plan or anything like it. I just like the amount of nutrients in the form of chocolate milk i can get! Makes a great difference if I need a boost before working out or just need something to keep me going while I make dinner. ^_^ Anyways, some of them certainly don't taste very good. My favorite so far comes from Wal-Mart.
193609 tn?1292180293 I keep some Slim Fast shakes (or sometimes a store brand) in the fridge for those times when I don't have time for breakfast or just something quick. They come in several flavors and served ice cold, they are quite tasty.
Avatar f tn Heya, Since food is quite problematic for me, and i suspect many other pregnant women too, i thought it would be nice to share some easy snack recipes, that are easy to digest and healthy for ourselves and our babies. I find easy to digest important to avoid nausea, bloating, constipation and other stomach issues us pregnant women might suffer from. I'll put some of my tips and recipes in reply to this post, to avoid time-outs. Hopefully you will share yours too! Enjoy!
1968463 tn?1374757813 What I may do, is just make sure to also eat small meals with my meds. Or, I can do what I know works....slim fast shakes two times a day and good sensibel meal for dinnner. I honestly think that it is more the feeling bad and not being as active as normal that has me gaining weight. i just dont think that I want to go so extreme while dealing with everything else I have going on. I think that it would just be impossible for me too do anyway.
1707055 tn?1316144521 First off, there is no healthy way to drop pounds fast. When you lose weight, you want to do it slowly in order to keep the pounds off and have the weight loss last. Second, according to your weight tracker status on your profile, you are already in a healthy weight range, so why are you trying to lose more weight? It's not healthy to go below a certain weight and your body needs many nutrients, especially as a growing teen.
Avatar n tn well it sounds like it could be a number of things from crohns to colitis to ibs , but the best way to know for sure is to see a specialist and get a colonoscopy done.
Avatar f tn Well I have tried over and over again with pills shakes nutrisystem slim fast weight warchers etc you name it I tried it.

Avatar f tn Welcome to the community. Try walking at a reasonable pace. Also look into yoga as it's low impact and done at a slow very deliberate pace. Be sure to watch what you eat as well - might also help the e-coli infection.
Avatar f tn Mine is only a 38 on recent test, but I know it should be at least a 70 for women. I go to the healthfood store and get an all natural food sourc of iron. Easy to digest and non toxic. I think it is called Floridix? It is in a glass bottle and liquid. Try not to od on caffeine like the rest of us....lol.....
Avatar n tn Good to hear your voice again Abeybaby, As you know, we're volunteers and not physicians, so it's important to review your symptoms and concerns with your own doctor who knows your history and perhaps more of your family history, too. Your fasting blood sugar is in a range called "pre-diabetes." According to American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org), normal fasting is below 100; pre-diabetes is 100-140, and above that is diabetes.
Avatar f tn I wasn't sure what other area to put this question in, because im not so sure where it fits...I have had some severe trouble sleeping for a few weeks now. I go to sleep and wake up like 2 hours later in a really bad sweat, and I get chills, and I have been getting like this really bad shakes that seem to start in my stomach, and I like can't sit all the way up. I just want to curl in a ball, and i get really nausiated.
776302 tn?1241091853 If your goal is to lose weight, and make a significant impact on your blood glucose levels, stop eating carbohydrates. You don't need Herbalife to accomplish that goal. All it takes is the will power to replace a carbohydrate rich food with one that contains protein and fat. I know it sounds counter-intuitive to eat fat to lose fat, but until you read up on a low carb lifestyle, trust me on this.
Avatar f tn I would like to ask because I have been having fast digestion problems too. My stomach hurts every now and then like in a aching way. I poop small bits and I felt dizzy this morning. This has been happening for a few days. Please help me with what is going wrong. I tried Pepto Bismol and other medicine too.
Avatar f tn I just started back three days ago. I do a fast walk for an hour and hit my weights . I eat small meals that are easy to digest. I read fasting is good for inflammation. I drink a gallon of water a day. I have not noticed a difference in expressions from other people yet, but I will definitely keep you posted.
Avatar m tn I'm 24, 5'7", 204 lbs currently. I recently (since March) have lost 20 lbs through diet and exercise but it seems like I'm at a stand still, and in the last week I have actually gained a pound and a half even though my diet and exercise regimen has not changed.
Avatar m tn liquid imodium used as often as needed can help slow down the motility of ur stomach..it is in shock right now....easy to digest foods like the BRAT diet...bananas, rice, apple sauce and toast..phenergan can help as well and also any type of gas relief medication u have...gas builds as the stomach reacts and causes alot of cramping...when u eat u set the process in motion just know this will pass and keep on going ..u have come a long long way...congrats!
Avatar m tn Since it only takes your body 1-2 hrs to digest carbs (if you add fiber to that, much faster) then 6-12 hrs total until bowel movement seems to be proper healthy time frame. BTW, many props on the black beans & leafy greens, this will help digest a bit faster, since they are loaded with fiber, and in turn help speed up metabolism. It takes the body about 4 hrs to digest fats and about 6 for proteins.
