Common Questions and Answers about Slim fast easy to digest

slim-fast

Avatar f tn 'SlimFast is something that's quick and easy, but not something I'd rely on for an extended period. I have done it for a week, but only ever replaced 1 meal/dayl with it; I ate other food as well as the shakes. I only ever use it when I'm "on the run".... ' I'd agree that this is the best way to use Slim Fast. It simply isn't healthy or sustainable to follow the full 'programme'or to do it in the long run.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any luck on the Slim-Fast diet? I just started it, I need to lose around 30lbs.
Avatar f tn Is it ok to drink slim fast while pregnant? I have gained too much weight so far. I started out tiny and now my mid section is huge! I'm not looking to lose weight but eating hurts. My lower back is in excruciating pain and I know it's from the weight gain and due to my belly sticking so far out. I'm only 25 weeks pregnant and I feel the only option is to eat tiny meals to keep up my energy because after I eat my stomach feels so tight b it just hurts.
Avatar f tn Heya, Since food is quite problematic for me, and i suspect many other pregnant women too, i thought it would be nice to share some easy snack recipes, that are easy to digest and healthy for ourselves and our babies. I find easy to digest important to avoid nausea, bloating, constipation and other stomach issues us pregnant women might suffer from. I'll put some of my tips and recipes in reply to this post, to avoid time-outs. Hopefully you will share yours too! Enjoy!
1707055 tn?1316144521 First off, there is no healthy way to drop pounds fast. When you lose weight, you want to do it slowly in order to keep the pounds off and have the weight loss last. Second, according to your weight tracker status on your profile, you are already in a healthy weight range, so why are you trying to lose more weight? It's not healthy to go below a certain weight and your body needs many nutrients, especially as a growing teen.
Avatar f tn Welcome to the community. Try walking at a reasonable pace. Also look into yoga as it's low impact and done at a slow very deliberate pace. Be sure to watch what you eat as well - might also help the e-coli infection.
Avatar f tn I would like to ask because I have been having fast digestion problems too. My stomach hurts every now and then like in a aching way. I poop small bits and I felt dizzy this morning. This has been happening for a few days. Please help me with what is going wrong. I tried Pepto Bismol and other medicine too.
Avatar f tn I just started back three days ago. I do a fast walk for an hour and hit my weights . I eat small meals that are easy to digest. I read fasting is good for inflammation. I drink a gallon of water a day. I have not noticed a difference in expressions from other people yet, but I will definitely keep you posted.
Avatar m tn Since it only takes your body 1-2 hrs to digest carbs (if you add fiber to that, much faster) then 6-12 hrs total until bowel movement seems to be proper healthy time frame. BTW, many props on the black beans & leafy greens, this will help digest a bit faster, since they are loaded with fiber, and in turn help speed up metabolism. It takes the body about 4 hrs to digest fats and about 6 for proteins.
10841231 tn?1427427244 saltine crackers, sprite always helped my upset stomach . My dr also told me to eat foods that are easy for the stomach to digest not junk food or fast food.
Avatar n tn In my opinion all those diet pills lose weight fast etc there all not good for you nor do they have a long term affect in order to keep the weight off you will proly have to contine with taking them.
655875 tn?1295695107 Slim Fast was getting difficult to stay on track. I found myself cheating on the diet. My friend told me about the protien shake that Dr. Oz uses. There are a few recipes on his website. Right now I am using the Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie. It tastes awesome and it actually keeps me full for over 6 hours. I have zero cravings for food and sweets. I've cut back my dinner portion.
Avatar f tn Besides my stomach growing and the growing pain. I wouldn't even think I was pregnant. I didn't have any morning sickness. Boobs just seem itchy, although they have grown. Have yet to even see my baby so I'm going nuts! I worry too because I haven't felt baby and I'm 19 weeks.
Avatar m tn I know this sounds like a no brainer but I have been eating to fast for the past 6 months, just here and there, like 5-8 times a week I will eat my meals to fast to the point where my stomach kind of hurts afterwards. But I always feel better within 20 minutes. And so I ask, can doing this cause any long term, and I guess short term problems with my body? and if so, what? p.s.
Avatar f tn Gallbladder removal causes a lot of different complications(it takes unbearable pain away but it doesn't solve the problem) , the specific diet must be followed for entire life. As i mentioned a lot of vegies and milk products must be eaten every day, the biggest function of gallbladder is digesting food when you remove it your liver and pancreatic becoming responsible for this function , a lot of strain will go on your colon and stomach too.
Avatar m tn 30AM now, not hungry at all and last meal was 4PM yesterday with some candy/soda at a movie last night. I should definitely be hungry by now....
1968463 tn?1374757813 What I may do, is just make sure to also eat small meals with my meds. Or, I can do what I know works....slim fast shakes two times a day and good sensibel meal for dinnner. I honestly think that it is more the feeling bad and not being as active as normal that has me gaining weight. i just dont think that I want to go so extreme while dealing with everything else I have going on. I think that it would just be impossible for me too do anyway.
Avatar f tn , too many visits to the fast food place, all that fat, or too much fat from ANY source, can eventually trigger a wierd metabolism problem and folks cannot burn calories like they used to. And even the fast food places that have finally begun to use lower-fat oil to cook the french fries in, there's still a substantial amount of calories from fat in french fries. Of course, it's not just french fries that have lots of fat in them...
Avatar f tn Could be a few things: Anxiety, metabolism, or the body working hard to digest what you've just consumed. Pay close attention to when you feel this most and what you have just eaten. Also remember the effects your mind can have on your body. If you're expecting a racing heart after a meal, the body can react in that exact manner. Try relax and take your time.
Avatar f tn i usually try and suck it back in because im just scared its going to hurt if i try. i dont want to talk about this to my doctor or even my mom. please help, thx.
Avatar f tn Keep drinking water but try to let it sit a bit before you drink it, to let the chlorine dissipate from it. Try to get to a doctor, & meanwhile eat foods you KNOW don't cause trouble but are easy to digest, such as eggs, oatmeal, and plant-based drinks like hemp milk, or rice milk. If you know you have allergies to tree nuts, don't drink almond milk for example -- and give the gluten-free diet a decent chance. Try it for at least 2 months & see how you feel.
1813129 tn?1316650790 Our body will naturally send a signal to the heart through nerves to speed up when we eat. This is to help us digest the food and to absorb it. It's a way of getting more blood to the intestines to help those muscles and to also absorb the nutrients. There's a bunch of different things that could be going on. It might be your own anxiety about it, contemplating that it's going to happen. Or, your heart is speeding up more than normal for various reasons.
Avatar f tn Since your cat is loving his food, just stick with the better quality most definitely. As to how easy different meats are to digest - I don't know, maybe someone else will. I'm thinking your kitty might be like mine - he just eats too fast and vomits. And once or twice a month isn't too much to start changing your boys food which is much harder than it sounds. Try feeding him smaller portions and through out the day if your schedule permits and see if this helps the vomiting.
Avatar n tn d rather recommend quinoa, but few are willing to try something like that. White rice is easier to digest, whether it turns to glucose or not, and does not cause the inflammation that brown rice causes. Please notice that I did not recommend eating a lot of it and to eat it with healthy proteins. Just because something has fiber doesn't make it the best choice for you.
Avatar f tn Hiya. I actually have ibs. Try eat easy to digest foods for a week or so, see how that works. I'll make a diet guide below. Start: - Steam or boil all your food: fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, ... It will make it easier to digest. - Best vegetables: courgette/zucchini, carrots, pumpkin, celery, chicory, cucumber, fennel (that i can think of) - No meat, yes to fish an chicken (not to much tho) -Rice, quinoa (gluten free!) -Sugar free apple sauce, steamed pears,... - No spices.
Avatar f tn They completely grow up way too fast. My second child will be starting kinder in Aug and I was talking to my 9yr old about how I want her to make sure she is where she needs to be in the mornings til she gets used to it (school only lets us walk them to class first day) when it hit me, she will be a 4th grader! Needless to say I cried and cried again when I pointed it out to my fiancé who has helped me raise her for 6yrs now...
Avatar m tn Being already super slim I am trying not to get to the point where I disappear, I am used to eating a lot to feed my high speed metabolism. I have done some googling on appropriate food for ulcers etc. but some of it is conflicting or doesn't make sense. I tried reducing the amount of Lansoprazole to 30mg once a day but that did not go well (stomach on fire).
