Avatar f tn Is it ok to drink slim fast while pregnant? I have gained too much weight so far. I started out tiny and now my mid section is huge! I'm not looking to lose weight but eating hurts. My lower back is in excruciating pain and I know it's from the weight gain and due to my belly sticking so far out. I'm only 25 weeks pregnant and I feel the only option is to eat tiny meals to keep up my energy because after I eat my stomach feels so tight b it just hurts.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any luck on the Slim-Fast diet? I just started it, I need to lose around 30lbs.
Avatar f tn Heya, Since food is quite problematic for me, and i suspect many other pregnant women too, i thought it would be nice to share some easy snack recipes, that are easy to digest and healthy for ourselves and our babies. I find easy to digest important to avoid nausea, bloating, constipation and other stomach issues us pregnant women might suffer from. I'll put some of my tips and recipes in reply to this post, to avoid time-outs. Hopefully you will share yours too! Enjoy!
Avatar f tn Welcome to the community. Try walking at a reasonable pace. Also look into yoga as it's low impact and done at a slow very deliberate pace. Be sure to watch what you eat as well - might also help the e-coli infection.
Avatar f tn How long does it typically take for food to digest? I ate some corn less than an hour - half ago and it has already appeared in my stool.
Avatar f tn I just started back three days ago. I do a fast walk for an hour and hit my weights . I eat small meals that are easy to digest. I read fasting is good for inflammation. I drink a gallon of water a day. I have not noticed a difference in expressions from other people yet, but I will definitely keep you posted.
1707055 tn?1316144521 First off, there is no healthy way to drop pounds fast. When you lose weight, you want to do it slowly in order to keep the pounds off and have the weight loss last. Second, according to your weight tracker status on your profile, you are already in a healthy weight range, so why are you trying to lose more weight? It's not healthy to go below a certain weight and your body needs many nutrients, especially as a growing teen.
10841231 tn?1427427244 saltine crackers, sprite always helped my upset stomach . My dr also told me to eat foods that are easy for the stomach to digest not junk food or fast food.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know how I can purchase the Slim Ball pills DESPERATE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
655875 tn?1295695107 Slim Fast was getting difficult to stay on track. I found myself cheating on the diet. My friend told me about the protien shake that Dr. Oz uses. There are a few recipes on his website. Right now I am using the Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie. It tastes awesome and it actually keeps me full for over 6 hours. I have zero cravings for food and sweets. I've cut back my dinner portion.
Avatar f tn Besides my stomach growing and the growing pain. I wouldn't even think I was pregnant. I didn't have any morning sickness. Boobs just seem itchy, although they have grown. Have yet to even see my baby so I'm going nuts! I worry too because I haven't felt baby and I'm 19 weeks.
Avatar m tn Eating too fast makes it harder for your stomach to digest the food because it's not been chewed well, and causes gas on your stomach. I don't think it will cause any problems, but try to slow down a bit. Take care.
Avatar f tn I would suggest eat more vegetable and drink a lot of milk products this is something that digest easy and helps digestion in same way. Ultrasound of abdomen should be enough to check for stones.
1968463 tn?1374757813 What I may do, is just make sure to also eat small meals with my meds. Or, I can do what I know works....slim fast shakes two times a day and good sensibel meal for dinnner. I honestly think that it is more the feeling bad and not being as active as normal that has me gaining weight. i just dont think that I want to go so extreme while dealing with everything else I have going on. I think that it would just be impossible for me too do anyway.
Avatar f tn Two things. One is if the pancreas is not working right, for example becuz a duct is blocked for some reason or the gland itself is sick somehow, then since the pancreas breaks down fat, could be it's not working properly, which a gastro doc can determine by ordinary office exam, or an endoscope or scan test. But what is more likely is that greasy foods are always hard to break down, because the human body is not set up to take straight liquid fat and digest it.
Avatar f tn Saldly its part of having a baby. Genetics play a huge rule on how fast you slim down as does your diet and how much exercising you are getting.

Avatar f tn Also, are beef and lamb harder to digest??? He eats lamb, venison, beef, and chicken. Should I just stick with chicken, rabbit, and venison??? Thank you!!!
Avatar m tn Hello! I know every body is different, but is it normal to digest things (from mouth to toilet) in less than 12 hours? I notice it mainly with vegetables (black beans, leafy greens, etc.) that I can eat them for dinner and they are in my stool the next morning. Just seems fast when I read that it should take 24-48 hours.
Avatar f tn Hiya. I actually have ibs. Try eat easy to digest foods for a week or so, see how that works. I'll make a diet guide below. Start: - Steam or boil all your food: fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, ... It will make it easier to digest. - Best vegetables: courgette/zucchini, carrots, pumpkin, celery, chicory, cucumber, fennel (that i can think of) - No meat, yes to fish an chicken (not to much tho) -Rice, quinoa (gluten free!) -Sugar free apple sauce, steamed pears,... - No spices.
Avatar f tn They completely grow up way too fast. My second child will be starting kinder in Aug and I was talking to my 9yr old about how I want her to make sure she is where she needs to be in the mornings til she gets used to it (school only lets us walk them to class first day) when it hit me, she will be a 4th grader! Needless to say I cried and cried again when I pointed it out to my fiancé who has helped me raise her for 6yrs now...
Avatar m tn My diet up to the point of diagnosis way back in February was a horrid mess of fast food and treats, since I only weighed around 142lbs at 6ft tall, I figured it was fine. Since the diagnosis way back when I have been eating quite healthy. no soda, no alcohol, no fast food, no chips/fries, I never smoked anyway, I have never taken any medications (so no NSAID's). I eat mostly rice, vegetables and either fish or beef, tofu, oatmeal, plain crackers, nothing bad.
Avatar m tn Over the last few months it's gradually been taking less food to get full...finally a few days ago I ate a normal-sized lunch at 1PM, then a healthy-sized dinner about 8:30PM. Felt very full, bloated, uncomfortable, and more puzzled as the hours passed. Slightly constipated but able to go that night nevertheless. Finally vomited big time about 1AM. Somewhat concerned, I ate a slightly smaller lunch the next day and then a normal dinner about 9PM, felt full but digested normally.
Avatar f tn I have also always gained very easy and very fast. If I remember correctly I had gained around 6 or 7 lbs by 13wks. I will be 31wks tmr and have gained almost 30lbs. And I hear that the last few wks you gain the most, I am def nervous! Just eat healthy and exercise!!
5609181 tn?1375332372 Ugh hopefully it's not easy pregnancy, hard labor! Lol. I've had a super easy pregnancy. I only have 41 days to go, and I still feel great! I'm hoping my labor goes smoothly.
Avatar m tn t have any broth, after he has been holding down water for at least eight hours), try giving him SMALL amounts of low-fat, easy-to-digest food, like cooked white rice, cooked lean meat, or hard-boiled egg. At that point, when he can hold down a small amount of easy-to-digest food, you can try giving the sucralfate again.
Avatar f tn Have any of you ladies ever experienced the feeling where your food doesn't digest? That you eat normal times and amounts but it just sits in your throat ? I'm usually constipated to begin with and now with pregnancy more im 24 weeks but don't know what would help for this. I do exercise and always walking most of the day so any other suggestions?
