slim-fast

To all of you out there who have been hyper slim & (like me) who are now hypo & have 'weight issues' - how do you cope mentally/psychologically with the weight gain? I know this sounds vain & superficial - but I've lost so much confidence since gaining 15 - 20kgs in the last 2 years. None of my old clothes fit, my body shapes out of proportion, I've got NO energy & I don't even recognise myself in recent photos.
whatever! Hydroxycut make me so nausuas and continuous bowel movement and gassy, but now I'm trying slimquick. And this one doesn't affect how I feel at all. I love the diet and exercise regiment but I am starting in the second level since I am a pro at working out I haven't seen any results yet but it's only been a week and I was not following the regimen at all. So I guess that the real secret is following the regiment and perhaps our bodies do need to ajust to the pill working.
I weigh 176 lbs and can't seem to lose the weight. I went on the slim fast diet and stuck completely to that diet. I was going to the gym every night and working out for an hour. drinking the slim fast shake in the morning, eating celery sticks or carrots around 10 a.m. and then eating a cup of soup and drinking the slim fast shake for lunch, eating fruit for snack at 3 p.m. and then eating a well balanced dinner. I am and would drink bottles of water all day long.
I wont deprive myself of anything cause I know I will end up eating an entire box of something if I take it out completely. What has REALLY helped me is drinking a slim fast in the morning and for lunch along with a piece of fruit that I like. For dinner I have a weight watchers meal. I LOVE dessert so I buy the 100 cal packs and have one of them. I also find drinking crystal light seems to help also. I HATE water, but I love the fruit punch crystal light.
Left a message for my doc telling her about the severe swelling, pain etc..and that my FT3 is too low for me at 3.2, did well when at 3.7 and can i raise the cytomel a bit. and that i had 3 good weeks at that level for the first time in years. Requested a diuretic also. The message i received back was: "that your level is fine at 3.2, am not comfortable giving you a water pill, will discuss this at our appointment on Sept.5" I'm very angry!
The rule of thumb in exercise is this. Exercising at a fast (aerobic)pace will burn fat, exercising slowly will build muscle. If you combine the two, weight is maintained. When a woman hits the age of 30, the body will gain about 5 pounds. This increase is due to the body beginning to shift hormonal balance. Women who exercise alot may begin peri-menopause as early as 30 where you experience some weight gain, mood swings, and changes in the period.

As to the people not being able to raise their HOMA with exercise and diet, first we don't know whether diet or exercise will work until it's tried, that's why it's called a first line attack. And where it was tried and failed, perhaps their compliance was less than reported, and perhaps compliance may be an unrealistic expectation in some cases. Or perhaps, some as you suggest may simply not react to diet and exercise in terms of reducing HOMA.
hCG injections are PART of a comprehensive weight reduction program. hCG administration is just ONE aspect of the complete hCG +diet program. Unfortunately many Healthcare Professionals modified the original method based on their own assumptions on how the method operates. In some cases modifications were performed to the extent that they do not include any of the basic and fundamental postulates of the hCG protocol, resulting in UNWANTED or side-effects.
I stopped taking Cylaris after 2 weeks and losing only about 2 pounds. I'm 43, so losing weight is already a challange. I have gained 23 pounds over the past 2 years, 8 pounds just in the last 2 months since I quit smoking. I went to the store to buy the "other" weight loss pills that worked for me a few years ago, but fell for the "LOSE up to 32 lbs. in 8 Weeks!*" I also used Slim Fast drinks & snacks, and Healthy Options for dinner.

ANd now I am at least 15 LBS HEAVIER and NO RESULTS AT ALL. I wouldnt try it.............you'd get more out of a diet or diet pill than LIPODISSOLVE...........ESPECIALLY FROM ADVANCED LIPO DISSOLVE. I , like many others, chose them because they had a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE if it didnt work.......TOTAL BULL **** AND LIES.......THEY DONT GIVE YOU **** BACK. NOT EVEN AN ATTEMPT TO OFFER HALF BACK . BULL. If I was you, I'd try something else. You gets some results from that.
Some other new features seem to be added to the board, which I think are stupid. But whatever, don’t want to be too negative. Anyway, just thought I'd give an update of how it feels to recover from both hepatitis C and its treatment for those either pondering treatment or currently undergoing it. A quick refresher on my stats: 42 yo, male, geno 1a, VL~1.
So if you want to remain a DIVA a slim DIVA, then please stick with your diet plan once your done. You guys have helped me make this choice to go ahead and go through with the B12 shot, and pills every 3 weeks, and I hope I will become an after like you girls have! GOOD LUCK everyone, I will comment once I get the shot.
I always keep a can of strawberry or chocolate slim fast with me when Im out and about because I find that it coats my stomach really well and keeps me from getting to hungry and keeps my stomach from being too empty, wich is when acid and bile will hurt it the most.Psyllium also helps with I.B.S (irritable bowel syndrome)wich can cause many of the same symptoms.I hope it works for you.
When I was young we didn't have these fast food places and I enjoyed eating. The only way to find out if diet will work is to try it. It has worked for me and that is a fact. It is not easy doing something different but it is worth it when you feel better.
I've never meet a doctor who would be OK with ANYONE losing that much so fast! It is normal to loose 5-6lbs the 1st week on any new diet, b/c most people drink more water when starting a new diet, so they loose water weight! I hope you all can see why i think it is so silly to think that that pill of them all, is the reason why you're loosing weight!
I sugar causes depression, I read about it in a book called SUGAR BLUES. I remember last year i would drink slim fast shakes just because i was not eating well, and i rember when i drank them i always seemed to feel good that week. looking back i think it was because of all the nutrition in them.
I do eat healthy lots of fruits, veggies, don't have excessive bread intake, lean meats and dairy, etc. I also am going to post this message on the thyroid board as well.
I had diarea for 17 days and finally used pepto and amodium, was drinking lots of gatorade, sorda like slim fast drinks only dairy free. But whateva works I'd recomend drinking slimfast or somekind of replacement nourishment,I think the oxys take the life right out of ya .so ya gotta kinda start off fresh like your a baby or somethiong and renourish your body.I tried multi vitamins at first but for some reason my body didnt respond as well as the slimfast.
Lots of it is because they do not trust their doctors/cardiologists. On the back of their mind there is always the "what if" they (doctors/cardiologists)might have missed something, they made a mistake etc. They go on message boards and believe when somebody says "your next exercise might be your last" as I was told on this very board 3 yrs ago when I mentioned my PVC's during exercise.
Hello, I came across this message board just now and think it is great. Here is my situation: I am 29 years old, 5’11" and about 175 lbs. My resting heart rate is probably in the low 70’s. I started running/jogging back in October and currently I run 3-4 times a week, 3.5-4.0 miles each time. My mile time ranges from 10:00-10:15 per mile. When I run/jog, my heart rate gets above 190 bpm for the majority of the run.
I have lost over 30 lbs without changing anything in my diet over the last 5 months. I am now eating high fat to keep from losing more. I get dizzy several times a day. I get bad fatigue & irritability. I have also had several lipomas pop up out of nowhere near my joints shoulder, knee, neck clavicle area, & hips. I was having pains in my liver area and night sweats but they seem to have faded. (none in 2 weeks) I have seen 2 different doctors and they have no idea.
I have been on the HCG Protocal for almost four weeks and have not achieved the expected results. I have been following the prescibed diet and HCG injection instructions to the letter. I live in Houston, Texas and have been working with a clinic in Colorado Springs. Is there a clinic in Houston that provides the HCG protocal. Perhaps support in my local area would achieve the desired results.
I've gained significant weight while on these drugs (despite an intense exercise program and careful diet). My nutritionist and MD told me that the drugs likely altered my metabolism, but no one can tell me how long it will take to correct that. Most frustrating, I've noticed that since I stopped taking both, my weight gain has accelerated. Any ideas as to how long I need to endure this or ideas for correcting my metabolism? Thanks.
we had a 16 week specialized sonogram. We got a miracle: the fluid was completely gone and the heart looks "encouraging." I share this story because we were in the depths of despair. I know how you all feel and even though our results turned out well, I will never forget the pain and loneliness one feels when you're given this diagnosis for your baby. My faith in God is what got us through this. I am religious - but really prayed more than I ever have in my entire life.
I posted this a few days ago as a response to someone else's question, but I'd like to get an opinion from an MD on the board as well. The full story is in this URL: http://www.medhelp.org/forums/cardio/messages/35673.html, under the name feelsick2. I'd appreciate if you could read the full story instead of this post. The summaryis as follows: I'm 28, 178 pounds, normal resting blood pressure 115/75, pulse 72. No major health problems before.
Addiction can be a bio-chemical problem as well as a learned and cultural one. Giving them heroin might send the wrong message maybe (to me) but I haven't worked it all out, maybe it's a good idea on some level. But they need a lot more help then that. Also, the constipation caused by heroin can be pretty serious. Can cause a pretty toxic state of affairs for the body.
