I tried Slim Fast quite some time ago and did not find that it kept me full enough or satisfied enough to continue.
My choice was to journal my food intake and hold myself accountable for the food I was ingesting. I monitored calories, although there are many plans that work using other measures (points and carbs). In journaling, I learned proper portion sizes, their nutritional content and studied my emotions. Those things, plus moderate exercise and positive self-talk, led to my success.
I would not recommend drinking Slim Fast. I love Slim Fast. I have a tub in my desk right now because I used to use it as quick meal replacement when things got busy at work. I haven't touched it since I got pregnant. Too many chemicals in the ingredient list. And it contains aspartame, an artificial sweetner which isn't good for you especially if you're pregnant.
never had this happen but my baby was born via c section yesterday and she pooped in womb due to stress and has fluid in her lungs, is runnin a fever but they dont know why and shes on oxygen bc she was breathing too fast. i cried when i found out bc its been almost 24hrs and i havent got to hold her yet. im prayin for you and your baby honey.
I have no idea how this will all play out. I did start googling Lyme and Kidneys and found a case study of someone with Lyme with such poor kidney function, the poor person had to go on dialysis for 5 months. They dubbed it "Lyme nephritis." The good news is the patient had an "excellent outcome." I don't know if that means the patient survived, or the patient fully recovered or something in between Hard to know what doctor parlance is.
Just wanted to add that I, and a friend of mine, too, upon first trying Slim Fast thought there was magic in the shake, and thought we could eat whatever we wanted and take the shake and it would somehow do the work for you. Heh, well I learned you can't do a meal and a shake and that the secret is that it is about 200 calories per can, and it fills you up with protein, vitamins and minerals, so you don't get hungry.
You should be concerned and might want to use the day after pill to prevent the sperm from reaching an egg. However, the risk is lowest after the period for many women. Just on the odds it's very slim. A good idea would have been to go to the drug store and purchase spermicide to flush with, probably too late now. I would have her contact her doctor just to be on the safe side as said above asap. She probably can still take a pill to prevent pregnancy.
I am a 24 year old female. For the past month or so I feel starving all the time. It's the feeling of a gurgling stomach and intense, sickening gnawing hunger pain underneath the gurgling. It makes me immediately start sweating, I get hot and feel that I'll be sick (faint, throw up, etc.) if I don't eat immediately. I run into the kitchen and drink milk and eat oatmeal, peanut butter toast, etc.
I have had a Cat scan, blood work, pelvic ultrasound, ultra sound of my kidneys and there is nothing abnormal. I know there is something wrong. I wouldnt have pain, other wise. Sometimes I will get sharp pains after eating and I have to wait a few seconds and then it goes away.
Anyone got any thoughts.... I will probably have to find another doctor....
No, I don't think it will affect kidney stones, but.. Slim fast has horrible ingredients, and I would not feed it to my dog. From their website, they list Hydrogenated soybean oil, High Fructose Corn syrup, etc. Soybean oil will make you fat, and so will high fructose corn syrup.Suffice to say, stay away from Slim Fast! Eat whole foods instead. At best, these drinks may cause rapid weight loss, but they are not healthy and usually the weight comes back later.
Sleeping with her I have noticed at close quarters that she snores heavily too which seems strange because she is very slim and has no excess weight. She has seen her local GP who referred her to an ENT doctor who confirmed there were no problems with her throat, sinus or soft palette. Strangely enough, my father and aunt both suffer from Sleep Apnea and have done for many years but they are both large bodied.
After another round of tests and a visit to my LLMD, he pronounced my kidneys "back to normal." Yay!! He upped my dose of clindamycin and said in a month to switch to doxy. He wanted to wait until we're further into fall weather as I am very fair skinned. First time I will have taken doxy, and it'll be just shy of a year from diagnosis.
I feel every dosage increase and new antibiotic I take.
Thanks for taking my question. I'm 69 female, still working full time, and have lone AF for 4 years. My specialist here in OZ tells me to take a pill(Tambacor)and wait for my heart to 'settle' when I have an attack. I have had a stress echo which was normal, an ultra sound which was normal, I have good blood pressure 130/80, and an angiogram showed my arteries to be normal.
I am 47 years old woman, very active and slim (at list before). The past to menstrual cycles (regular), after my period ends, in about four or five days, my breasts start getting sore and specially heavy again. In the same proportion is my belly. I always had this symptoms around a week before my period starts (could deal with this). To add more misery into it, I gained 6 pounds and can not get rid of them. Exercise even more and try to eat very good.

i actually had one not to long ago and im perfectly fine but i dont eat it that much ill have one like once a month
