Avatar f tn Diagnosis of genital warts is usually clinical, made by visual inspection. Genital warts can be confirmed by biopsy but Sometimes we can use an enhancing technique called acetowhitening. This technique involves the application of 5% acetic acid solution to the area of suspicion for about 5-10 minutes. Infected areas will turn white. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn He now says he feels like he is floating when he is in class looking at the board or when he tries to go to sleep at night. He watches TV or does his DS/Lite Video game, then reads before going to sleep. The lamp is 60 watts. I give him Hylands Motion Sickness Tabs and sometimes they work but, other times, he gets back up. He says he is so tired but, as soo as he lays down and closes his eyes, he is floating? Can you help?
Avatar m tn This will be my final question regarding the risks I may have engaged in. I've learned a lot about the ways HIV are and aren't transmitted as well as testing options. I also understand now that receiving oral sex poses a low risk for STD's. My final question is as follows and an answer will be appreciated. Would brief unprotected frottage pose a high risk for STD's? Single exposure that lasted three minutes. Took place 4 months ago.
Avatar f tn Symptoms that last a second, that are random, that are all over the body, that are in all peripheral limbs etc are all basic red flags that point away from a neurological condition MS. Visual symptoms are very common in MS but the types of visual issues that are suggestive/consistent would Optic Neuritis, Diplopia, Nystagmus.

I was visit by mainly and oddly tons of hardware, clothing, musical instruments on and on. Avatar f tn I tried to explain but the guy who was doing the basic tests took it as blurriness as i did not explain it well. The next day I do research online and come across an amsler grid and realise that I have some distortion in my right eye, perhaps a tiny bit in my left but no where as perceptable.. Of course I panic after I read about it mostly being caused by MD. I called the hospital back in a panic and they rushed me in that afternoon.
Avatar m tn I saw a general opthalmologist yesterday who gave me a thorough eye exam and said my eyes were completely healthy. He performed some basic visual field tests and found nothing abnormal, but didn't do the Humphrey FDT because my eyes were already dilated. He wants to redo the Humphrey test next week and see if the results can be duplicated. I'm a little confused about the Humphrey results.
Avatar m tn A few months ago, I started seeing something that looked kind of like a visual migraine aura. It was a lot more noticeable in my left eye at first, but it was in both eyes. A month and a half ago, it became much more noticeable in my right eye. I went to the Casey Eye Institute right away (because I do have actual eye problems, including non-age-related macular problems.
Avatar f tn s possible your dealing with a sinus infection, allergy, medication side effect, diet related, acid reflux or GERD etc etc Keep in mind that if for example you were dealing with something like a nasal allergy, it would be effecting your sleep quality to the point of sleep deprivation, which in turn will effect the amount of energy you have during the day and could also account for why you are yawning so much and having trouble staying awake at work, feeling off balance and weak and still be ne
Avatar f tn s no discharge no pain when peeing no visual signs just feels different then normal what should I do ?
Avatar f tn The basic parameter are: 1. How much does it bother you. If you are 20/25 and an airline pilot and are going to lose your job that might justify proceeding, if you are 20/50 functioning well and it doesn't bother you not much case to proceed. 2. If there is high grade traction on the macula and the risk of a full thickness hole is significant then surgery is usually recommended. Most ERMs are mild and do not need surgery.
Avatar f tn s a test the do at the basic eye dr. the one past optometrist. But it can only detect a certain amount of ON - it misses lots. Then someone talked about a test they can do to see if you had ON in the past. Am I remembering anything or making it up! LOL! Right now my brain is so not working. Anyways, I would like to ask my neuro for a test if there is one. Any Canadian input would be great too, cause I think there's different testing up here.

Avatar n tn Sorry to ask such basic questions, but the internet is full of conflicting opinions and by looking around your site i have come to highly respect your opinion. 1.) In heterosexual intercourse from the mans perspective; is anal sex any higher risk than vaginal intercourse? 2.) Does having type one herpes leave you anymore likely to contract HIV assuming all else is equal? 3.) I completely understand that symptoms for HIV are no indication for assuming one does or does not have the disease.
