Avatar n tn Hi everyone, I'm only 8 weeks and a FTM. I'm scared. I can't take going to sleep anymore. The nightmares have just been out of control. I try explaiNing it to my husband but he doesn't really get it. I was in marching band in Highschool and in my nightmare someone was hitting me in the stomach over and over on field with the lights radiating. No one would help me, my husband ran away and just it was awful. I just hope this passes.
Avatar n tn They are so bad that I am terrified to go to sleep, but I am tired all the time. When I do sleep, its horrible and filled with bad dreams, so I'm not getting rested anymore. I am afraid I am going to get physically violent sometime, that's how I'm feeling. Has anyone else experienced this? I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to get on something else, I was just wondering if this was a common thing.
Avatar n tn Your symptoms of dizziness if they are relieved by eating something, may indicate that you might be having episodes of hypoglycemia. Inadequate sleep can also cause tiredness, fatigue and dizziness. Other causes for these symptoms are inner ear infections; brain disorders heart problems, fever, stress, low blood pressure and anxiety. Please consult your GP who will examine you and may ask for blood tests for evaluating blood sugar and CBC. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn Two weeks ago, my 18 year old daughter had a seizure or violent convulsion in the bathroom, where she fell on the floor, and she stopped breathing. She was shaking very bad and we could not wake her. The doctor ran all the tests on her and they came back normal. She told me today that she is affraid to go to sleep because she usually has these bad shakes when she gets up, but it just never got as bad as it did. I am desperate to find out why I almost lost my daughter.
Avatar m tn Within 3 seconds of the time I drift into sleep, I have a singular violent spasm (I believe GERD related). This is not painful but immediately wakes me. This cycle at its worst can repeat 40 to 50 times over the coarse of three hours (I fall back to sleep very quickly). It could last 10 nights or more and almost always coincides with a cold. During the day I do get an occasional spasm but not nearly as bad as when I'm trying to go to sleep.
Avatar f tn I asked why and he said that I was physically aggressive in my sleep. He told me that I was shaking and making funny noises and when he touched me, thinking I was having a bad dream, I physically attacked him, pointedly at his groin. He tells me that after I attacked him to my satisfaction, I got up, had a drink of water, and went back to bed with a smile on my face with my eyes closed all the while. I do not remember this.
Avatar f tn Ambien not only made his acting out during sleep worse and more violent, but then he started roaming through the house screaming and yelling. I can't believe the neighbors didn't call the cops. For over a year he kept taking the ambien thinking he was getting a full night's dreamless sleep. He couldn't quite believe he was hitting and punching me while in the throes of a night terror either. Hmmm... then I guess I'm doing it to myself?
Avatar f tn It sounds to me as if you were having a nocturnal panic attack. A nocturnal panic attack is when you awaken from your sleep and you're already having a panic attack. They usually don't have a trigger which makes it even more unpredictable and scary. Unless it's something else more serious, I would say that you're probably okay but if this continues, I would highly recommend going to a doctor and/or a therapist and get on medicine.
Avatar n tn My just turned 6 year old has been having emotional/anxiety problems since he was 3. We had him evaluated through our county program and he was placed in a special ed preschool for 2 years. Now at 6 and in kindergarden we noticed that in school he was completely out of control with all the symptoms of ADHD rearing their heads. We broke down and put him on Adderol which seemed to help for a bit (1.5 months) and recently he had a major violent breakdown.
Avatar f tn My son begs me for super violent video games too. LOL I have learned the art of saying No. It's okay to say no. She's too young. She doesn't need to be one of the first to get these things. Tell her that she will actually stand out in a negative way and that you are reserving those things for when she is a bit older. By the way, is she in elementary school or advanced to a middle school with kids in older grades there?
Avatar n tn At least once he has removed a stool from his pants, put it in the toilet, flushed and washed his hands. Additionally, he is very violent, especially with his mom, dad, my husband, and less frequently my kids. Lots of hitting, kicking, spitting and sometimes biting. A new development is that I have heard him call his mom a ***** and an ******* on several occasions in the most venomous voice I have heard from a child. He does not care about time outs and says as much.
718870 tn?1230302160 i have a sleeping/breathing probelm its quite violent. But what will happen on ocassion to me is i will be laying in the bed in the stage where your not asleep but your brain has pretty much shut down and in a milisecond i am jerked out of it my heart starts thumping and i can not breath and i have no control over my muscles they just lock up i think from the shock of me being jerked out of sleep so fast and not being able to breath. but it goes away in about 5 seconds.
Avatar f tn I'm 12w+5 and I'm a ftm....I'm super excited but I'm having problems with the baby's dad ...he used to be abusive never punched me but verbally and would throw me slam me hold me down etc...he would beg me to forgive him and then always find a way to blame me sometimes I believed him if I had slapped him or yelled or anything I would believe it was my fault but other times I literally did nothing and it would happen...it didn't happen a lot and it was random ....
Avatar f tn The other problem is that I am an 18 year old athletic female that has already been diagnosed with sleep apnea even though I am not over weight and I do not snore. Given my history with sleep problems, the doctors decided that I have always had it for most of my life. When I was 16 I had surgery in an effort to fix this problem. The doctors shrank the turbinates in my nose and then removed my tonsils and adenoids.
Avatar f tn The phenomenon is restricted to sleep, and always or virtually always in the transition between sleep and wakefulness, and is not associated with other phenomena. To conclude, you need not worry; it will not harm your body and will wear off over a time. Maintain good sleep hygiene, be positive. I suggest you to consult sleep specialist for more information. Take care and regards.
2062192 tn?1333714423 Iv got one of the pregnancy pillows but it dosnt seem to be helping at the moment. I cant sleep on my back (my body has never let me sleep on my back for as long as I can remember), and the only position I see to get comfy on is on my tummy but coked up slightly on my right side with my knee helping to prop my side up a little but I move a lot in my sleep and every time I change positions I wake up feeling a bit sick and get a slight pain in my abdomen.
