I have a 3 year old grandson with the complete opposite problem. He asks me to make his Mommy go away so he can stay with me. When I take him home on days that Daddy is not there he goes into a panic, cries uncontrollably and begs me not to leave him. He also has a 1 year old brother, who is undeniably Mommys favorite. Unfortunatly, 1 year olds take alot of our time and energy, maybe he feels that his time with you is no longer special since the baby came along.
My son is four years old. He is very intelligent for his age. He can do things (academically) that most boys and girls his age can't do. My problem is that he has this obsession with strings lately. He spots them, picks them up and plays with it. He will get any kind from sofas, clothes, the floor. I have a cousin who has a son who does this and well he has Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am scared that my son may have this.
I have a 12 year old and a 13 year old that are having sleeping problems. They go thru phases where they are afraid to sleep alone. They are afraid of aliens and being kidnapped. Usually, after an hour or two of trying (and suffering) they break down and ask to sleep on our floor.
Should we just make them sleep alone? I am afraid they will lay in bed for hours shaking in their beds and not getting a good nights sleep.
Should we just let them sleep on our floor until they grow out of it?
My 7 year old daughter, who does not have ADD/ADHD is struggling to fall asleep most nights. We have tried soothing bedtime routines, relaxation techniques, & limiting sweets before bedtime. What are the causes of this insomnia & what are some other ways to deal with this? I am extremely frustrated as she come out of her room multiple times each night.
I have a four and a half year old son who is, at most times, very sweet. Lately, he has been very, very attached to his dad, which is great because my husband is a great dad and I love that he adores his father. However, it seems that my son is always upset with me even when there is nothing wrong. It is almost like he doesn't want to be kind to me, or that he is making himself be mad/mean to me.

My two year old son has never had a problem going to bed at night since he was born, but about four months ago we move into a bigger house and he got his own room away from his three year old sister. Now for the last four months he refuses to go to sleep. He climbs out of his bed at least six to seven times a night and i just pick him up and put him right back in and leave the room.
and the daycare says they have never had a four year old with such problems. and of course Im going to say my little girl is perfect. She was my first baby, she is my princess, and I know she knows how to behave. She chooses not to. Now Im just trying to figure out what kind of help she needs and why she acts out in such big ways.
I have Parkinsons and sleep from about 11pm to 2 am and am unable to get back to sleep. I did try xanax about for four days in a row. I woke at 2 a.m., took a .25mg each time and it put me back to sleep from 3 to 7. Worked perfect but I hear they're addictive. Klonopin is also in the benzo class and I worry it may be too strong. Trazodone is an anti-depressent and I've read scary stuff regarding that.
My four year old son hits me he is worse when I have visitors,he will also hit the visitors and other children..i cant cope with him when we r lrlimb he shouts things a people,runs away,goes off with people he dosent know like they r his friends,no sense of danger he is under dr at the hospital and I still dont know why my son is this way..in pre school he is good..why is he this way at home and outdoors.
