Common Questions and Answers about Sleep problems for babies

sleep

557490 tn?1326793583 This is really not enough time for her to complete a proper sleep cycle. Sleep is essential for growth and development. Babies process what they have learned throughout the day during sleep. They also grow in their sleep. Sleep is VERY important for the ENTIRE family. If the doctor is not compassionate about your situation, look for another one.

2062192 tn?1333714423 Iv got one of the pregnancy pillows but it dosnt seem to be helping at the moment. I cant sleep on my back (my body has never let me sleep on my back for as long as I can remember), and the only position I see to get comfy on is on my tummy but coked up slightly on my right side with my knee helping to prop my side up a little but I move a lot in my sleep and every time I change positions I wake up feeling a bit sick and get a slight pain in my abdomen.
Avatar m tn I have never had a racing heart in the middle of the night for hypo. Hypo for me is always tired weight gain sleeplessness. I tried to raise my levels but I immediately suffered from more insomnia. I am not going to put myself through more insomnia just to prove that I know more than my doctors, I'm tired of self medicating and self doctoring.
Avatar m tn You might consult with your neurologist about a referral for a sleep lab study.

985832 tn?1249126599 Hello I am new here . Hi everyone. My question is what can I do about sleep problems? I never sleep through the night. I get up several times during the night and I have a hard time relaxing even when I can't keep my eyes open. Just when I laydown to go to sleep its like a light switch comes on and I am wide awake again. It really drags me down during the day. I do walk everyday and I take melatonin at night but even though it makes me really sleepy I never stay asleep.
3862348 tn?1348379200 You will need to consult your primary care physician, who may schedule you for a polysomnogram (sleep test) to rule out sleep disorders and initiate appropriate therapy. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

1073929 tn?1314753990 I have MS and have had problems sleeping for about 9 months now. I tired going to sleep at 9, then 10 and 11 but no matter what time i go to sleep i'll wake up at 3 or 4. I have tried 4 different sleeping meds and none have worked. Is this a normal symptom?
Avatar f tn I tried keeping his play pen and car seat warm tonight and his car seat and the car seat worked for an hour until he was crying through his sleep. I laid him next to me and he quieted down and slept for 3 more hours. As long as he sleeps near someone he is okay. I put him on his belly once and he slept okay.
20909115 tn?1623046980 I would definitely check in with your primary doc, and advocate for a sleep study to be done. It could be many things, including hypertension and or hypoxia (lack of oxygen) from sleep apnea. These two things definitely need to be ruled out.
