Avatar f tn My husband and I are under a tremendous amount of stress due to money problems. He has just told me that his left eye is not acting right. He says that there seems to be a line about 1/2 across his vision that seems to be pixilated. He can't read his computer screen. Could this be a product of the stress that he is under?

These therapies can be prescribed by clinicians at any level but it can be better implemented by sleep specialist. Medical therapy involves use of benzodiazepines, Nonbenzodiazepines, Melatonin agonist or Diphenhydramine against prescription for short duration.

Avatar f tn hi!! I know that Valerian root works well for some, kava kava, ummm.. can't think of the others but I'm sure someone else will post. The Ativan may not be helping you too much since it is a short acting benzo. I was prescribed Xanax for almost a year and it didn't help too much with my anxiety, maybe for an hour or so after I took it. They switched me to Klonopin, longer acting and I've had ZERO anxiety/panic problems since.

312330 tn?1245176752 granted I had insomnia before I was ever diagnosed with the CSS. I know that prednisone can cause sleep issues, and I really need to get some sleep. I also have ADHD. I've tried trazadone with mixed results. I currently take Prednisone, Qvar, Foradil, Zantac and Adderall. I would prefer not to add another pill to the mix if I can help it, the less med interactions I chance the better....any suggestions? It's quite common for it to be after 3am before I can get to sleep...

1998928 tn?1327332754 In my experience with anxiety, I sometimes tended to have it peak at night when my mind was not preoccupied with the tasks of the day. I think that a huge thing to remember is that your anxiety will definitely ebb will have its peaks and it can spike from time to time. For example, I can go months without any major issues only to have a 'bad' week where it peaks due to a number of factors. More stress at the job, at home, etc...
1534024 tn?1294246075 Since I have read I will comment that most of your problems seem to be related to insufficient sleep. Have you talked with your doctor about a prescription sleep aid (pill)? I have such and rarely use it, it doesn't change my dreaming problem. The generic sleeping pill is not expensive, and while I think it best to avoid developing dependencies on medication, it might be worth a try to see if more sleep solves other problems too.
