1794093 tn?1357930759 I definitely understand the sleep deprivation. It really ***** :( I work overnights and have a terrible time trying to sleep during the morning/afternoons. Im also up every hour, or hour and a half, then still manage to work/do things around the house. I always thought the 2nd trimester was supposed to be the best, sure i dont feel sick anymore, but this has been brutal for sleep. Thats exciting about your ultrasound coming up, and really exciting that you are not finding out the gender!
1926359 tn?1331588139 m going down by a third a week-the doc said this was ambitious but I really want to be free so there you have it. If I can get a few nights good sleep I will be prepared to deal with the sleep deprivation again....Ugh. So easy to put in your body...so hard to get out. Wish me luck with the sleep fairies tonight....
Avatar f tn As a teenager I went through a year of sleep deprivation. I got about six hours of sleep a night. I felt very sleepy every day and even had feelings of confusion and derealization. Did I cause any permanent damage to my brain? In addition, has damage caused by oxidative stress and free radicals irreversibly increased my cancer risk?
Avatar m tn I already was struggling with poor sleep due to sleep apnea that was undiagnosed at the time. At work my responsibilities increased and I was constantly rehashing in my mind the various decisions I had to make in selecting and writing specs for a data management software conversion. Then an extended family member was killed in the military and I had to plan the local service while the parents were out of state at the memorials on the base.
Avatar f tn ✋✋ I can't sleep idk y
Avatar n tn There not sure why warm milk help sleep as tryptophan only helps with the initial cycle of sleep but can disrupt deep sleep, but you may want to try it to help you get to sleep initially just only drink a small glass. There is something called Lactium in milk which relaxes infants but there is an all natural medication called dreamerz food that contains a consentrated amount of Lactium(enough for an adult) along with melatonin that has gotten alot of great attention.
620048 tn?1358018235 t even sleep in the same bed with me because I toss and turn and kick, even with sleep meds. I have no idea when I'm doing it and think I sleep well, but wake up exhausted and can barely stay awake all day. I have a sleep study next week. I agree with the others, switch doctors!!!! Everyone deserves sleep!
480804 tn?1208236518 It seems she is probably suffering from Sleepwalking and sleep talking as she might be under stress and sleep deprivation seems to be cause. Sleepwalking occurs usually early in the night and usually don’t remember their actions, also may be difficult to awaken, and usually feel confused or disoriented upon being awakened.
281219 tn?1219114914 DD are both really great with the baby and get so excited to help with just about everything but changing a poopy diaper. Yay. DH helps a lot, too, but not as much M-F as I'd like b/c of his work schedule. Typical though and not complaining :-) He's a great dad but I do understand that when he gets home at 6:30 he's gotta chill no matter how much I want to toss the 3 kids at him and go for some serious shopping or spa therapy!!
6691229 tn?1392139790 Wat meds do you take? Im on Keppra nd Lamictal.
534800 tn?1217167359 I take a small dose of Xanax or Lunesta to try to get some sleep, but the amount is so spotty (with flashes waking me through the night) that I just know I have worn myself down to a complete and utter emotional mess from all this menopause stuff. I'm 46, run 10 miles daily, vegan, no not drink or smoke or drink any coffee or tea - I watch my sugar and my white flour intake - what else can I do to get decent sleep or at least do something so I'm not so miserable and moody?
Avatar f tn geez! that's that soothing, I'll be having a natural birth and i plan to go through it staying as strong as possible. DH says he wouldn't want me to have a tear or a cut down there. uurrrrhhh!!. I'm really hoping for the best. fancy waking DH in the middle of the night to 'bond' with the baby, woow, he'll really love that, i''m sure he wouldn't even sleep the first few days!
Avatar n tn Pernicious Anemia has pretty much the same symptoms as Sleep Deprivation with the nice extra one of causing permanent damage to your Central Nervous System if you have it for too long. A blood test will check and see if you have it. If you do you'll have to inject yourself with B-12 for the rest of your life. Don't worry if needles bother you they couldn't make them much smaller than the ones you use for B-12. Don't trust your Sleep Docotors.
8716921 tn?1402659268 I would love to just get a few hours uninterrupted before my baby gets here and the real sleep deprivation starts. Is anyone else feeling the need to wake uo every few hours to switch positions and how could I exclude my field trips to the rest room.
171867 tn?1271044148 Questions for all the new mommy's??? how are you all dealing with the lack of sleep? I am finding this soo hard.. The first 1 am feeding not so bad .. but by gosh the 3 -5 am just is kicking my butt. I guess the age is showing..lol Anyone with any good ideas to help cope with this? My little guy is 11 weeks tomorrow and I am so exhausted! He does sleep from 9-1 am so I get the 4 hrs now.. but the rest of the night stinks!!
774736 tn?1311331385 I was diagnosed with GAD earlier this year and have gone through horrific panic attacks, agoraphobia, and many other anxiety related nightmares but lately Ive been struggling with sleep deprivation...Every day for the past couple months I have not been able to sleep at a reasonable hour...I have to completely exaust myself to finally get to sleep and before I do, I go through a period of feeling "under the influence", as if im drunk or high...
Avatar f tn Im 30 weeks and i want to sleep with my baby i feel like i would be more comftorble sleeping with her than leaving her alone in a crib is this bad??
Avatar n tn Hello, sleep deprivation is really hard to live with, and trying to avoid it is what drives many people to adopt co-sleeping. But co-sleeping does come with costs, like any parenting choice, and the effect on the siblings can be significant. I don't blame this little boy for having strong feelings about his 3 month old brother getting to sleep with Mommy and Daddy--he must feel very upset about being displaced. I would suspect you are correct that this is the reason for his distress.
410281 tn?1254229064 It's possible. Sleep deprivation causes a generalized nervous system excitability which can manifest in various muscle twitches and spasms. Mirapex (which is also used for Parkinson's) acts in your central nervous system to control your nervous system problems. Did you ever treat your sleep apnea? And if so, how was it treated?
Avatar n tn Are you there to take care of him? I do agree with your views of sleep deprivation and its adverse effects. He might be in severe stress due to sleep deprivation caused a result of irregular sleeping cycle because of job needs working in frequent shifts. You may seek the help of attorney for his loss of pay. He requires rest for sometime. He can get evaluated by a neurologist and get counseled by a sleep specialist. Take care and update on his progress.
