Avatar n tn He said that the total testosterone level is still low, but that the protein that binds the testosterone is also low so he is not concerned about my low total testosterone. My estrodial is slightly elevated. Basically, he has said at this point that he does not know what is causing my fatigue. Can you help? Can you see anything here, or suggest anything additionally that I need to try or look for? Thank you in advance... I am really, really frustrated.
Avatar m tn t ask my doctor about it. And next visit I plan to mention my sleep apnea problem. It only happens when I sleep on my back, so I try to sleep on my side, but I have severe pain, so I toss all night long. When I am on my back I will awaken, gasping for air, fall asleep and within minutes it happens again. My wife hears me gasping a lot during the night, even when I don't notice. Thank you in advance for your advice.

1580703 tn?1651904887 m getting 0% stage 3/4 sleep. What caused my sleep apnea, memory/ADD problem and what can I possibly do? Thanks so much!
20003388 tn?1515166040 So, for years now I have suffered from extreme fatigue and brain fog/memory issues. I had my testosterone and thyroid checked, both were low. I on now on thyroid meds and testosterone replacement but it hasn't made a dent in my fatigue and brain fog despite my levels being optimal now. I do have sleep apnea and use a CPAP at night but my numbers there are also optimal. Caffeine, and most stimulants, make the fatigue worse.
Avatar m tn 37 year old fit male with no previous health issues. I do have mild obstructive sleep apnea and I'm on CPAP with beautiful numbers that indicate that it is working fine. I've filmed myself waking up frequently throughout the night for an unknown reason and looking around. Two previous ER visits for racing heartbeat, blood pressure went up as high as 173/100, cold feeling in chest during that time, "bubbly" feeling in chest/below left rib cage and lower left side.
Avatar m tn I was first sent to get a sleep study and came back as having moderate sleep apnea. After a month of treatment, my symptoms still hadn't improved so I went back to my primary care doc and asked him to do a work up on other things that can cause energy issues, including low t. My vitamin d was also severely low (I work in an office). Anyway. I've been reading about all the different possible causes of low testosterone and I'm just really concerned.

1580703 tn?1651904887 Losing the excess pounds may also help with the sleep apnea. One of the risk factors for sleep apnea is being overweight wherein the fat deposits around the upper airway may obstruct the breathing. Avoid alcohol and certain medications such as tranquilizers and sleeping pills which can relax the muscles in the back of the throat and may interfere with breathing. Sleep on your side or abdomen rather than on your back. And keep your nasal passages open at night.
1068689 tn?1325827206 I have been under the care of my doctor all this time and prescribed thyroid medicine, metformin, and use the sleep apnea machine when I sleep. I get 7 or more hours of sleep a night and is usually restful. For the past 5 years or so I have noticed my energy levels decreasing quite rapidly. My doctor has played with my meds to keep them within the appropriate ranges and this never seems to help. I otherwise have a healthy checkup when I go in.

2089156 tn?1332700160 I went to my family doctor at first to tell him about my issue and he immediately started telling me it was my sleep apnea. I was recently diagnosed with that when I told them I was sleeping a lot but never feeling completely rested. I don't think this is the cause since I have been using the CPAP and my sex drive is still really low. I DO NOT get morning "wood" as it is referred to. I have never had a wet dream, ever.

Avatar m tn One thing that can happen during testosterone therapy are breathing problems while you sleep or sleep apnea. I think it normally happens when on for awhile but since you mention fatigue and being tired, this came to mind. In the off chance that is the case, you'd want to know about it. I would talk to your doctor about this most definitely. I do think the therapy works for a lot of men but I would talk to your doctor about what you are experiencing.

Avatar f tn Hi, Dr Carolyn Dean talks about sleep apnea and Magnesium supplementation . If you google : Magnesium and sleep Apnea. I have family members who also refuses to use CPAP, so they are trying Mg instead. Still at the starting stage. But what I could tell you is that snoring is definitely less.. :) Sleep apnea causes high BP, memory loss, headaches, poor concentration, fatigue and so many more.. So I'd say, give Mg Glycinate a try..
