Avatar n tn Hi This may be due to frequent hand washing, dry skin or dehydration. I would suggest that you refrain from prolonged handwashing . This may not be something serious. Wash the hands using a mild cleanser. Moisturize the hands using a mild and light vitamin E cream to keep it from drying. Drink plenty of water and avoid exposing the hands to chemicals and substances that may cause drying of skin.
Avatar f tn try drinking a gallon of water a day and see how your skin improves. As far as moisture goes your outer skin is a reflection of your hydration.
Avatar n tn I am just wondering if maybe it is staying to moist under the fore skin so it wrinkles like you hands do when you keep them in water too long. I know that they say you should keep it really dry under the fore skin to avoid infections.

Avatar n tn Hi Frequent washing or prolonged exposure to water may cause wrinkles on the skin. In the absence of redness, scaling, discharge and pain in the area, this may not be something that you should be very worried about. Just avoid manipulating the area. Avoid prolonged exposure to water. You may use a mild or light vitamin E cream over the affected area to moisturize it. Observe if the skin improves in appearance.
Avatar m tn Topical treatments for the skin can reduce the look of wrinkles ...whether it costs a buck ninety nine or a thousand dollars an ounce, if it holds in moisture, it can make the skin tissue look a little better. You aren't going to see magic changes from anything you put on your face, but putting on something is better than putting on nothing. Biggest thing for protecting against future skin wrinkles is sunblock.

Avatar f tn It was suggested to me that the cause could be from having thin skin and pursing my lips (repeated mechanical movement), but that wouldn't explain the crease above my brow where the electrolysist concentrated most of her work. It also doesn't explain why these wrinkles weren't present before the electrolysis treatment. I was also told by one doctor that the post inflammatory hyperpigmentation that I have is actually melasma.
Avatar f tn At 24, I developed a double wrinkle around my neck, thinning of the skin over the clavicles, and rosacea (what a year!). I thought it was from the jock itch cream I was taking and I waited for the wrinkles to fill back in which they didni't. Then I forgot about it. Now at 28, I developed two stomach wrinkles, persistent acne on the chest and stomach, and slow healing wounds. I also developed stretch marks on the back of my thighs from sitting for long periods of time.

Avatar n tn I have developed wrinkles on my finger knuckles over the last eight months(both the hands). The skin on the knuckles and the finger joints has been turning dark since then. I have visited a dermatologist and he said that it's not a symptom of any disease and hasn't prescribed any medication. I started using the L'oreal creams and all but nothing changed. The dark skin and the wrinkles look distinctly visible. I am loosing sleep over this because I don't know what to do.

Avatar n tn For the last few months the palms of my hands and my fingertips have been getting these deep lines in them and my fingertips are also wrinkled - they feel like I've soaked my hands in water for hours. It's been getting a bit worse as time goes by. Anyone have any idea what could be the problems?
Avatar n tn Hi, The wrinkles that occur in skin after prolonged exposure to water are sometimes referred to as pruney fingers or water aging. This is a temporary skin condition where the skin on the palms of the hand or feet becomes wrinkly. So this is a natural phenomenon and you need not worry about this as long as they come back to normal. You could wear gloves if you want. Let me know if you need any other information. Regards.
Avatar n tn they appeared quite fast, and are very fine textured, with a blotchy skin quality as well.. The wrinkles appeared on my tops of hands first, and this is still the main place they show, but they also began appearing noticeably all over my body. If this sounds similar to the condition you have, further info is here: http://chronicsorethroat.wordpress.com/ I hope this helps.
729288 tn?1251254433 You will see your skin drying up, your throat will become dry and possibly sore, the skin on my heel started to crack from dryness. Start now to use lots of lotions on your skin daily ( Aveeno ) to moisten it, before the drying starts. Once the Riba builds up more than likely you will develop a rash and the lotions will help with that too. Its so hard to drink all that water ( 80 oz daily here ) Yuck ! Some days I force more down.
Avatar f tn I am a very health conscious eater, and drink plenty of water. I do not consume alcohol or caffeine on a regular basis. I protect my skin with a natural 50 spf religiously. I cleanse with a completely chemical free cleanser, and moisturize regularly with unprocessed virgin coconut oil. I never moisturize with products containing mineral oil, fragrances, propylene glycol, etc.
Avatar n tn I've been always wanting to get rid of wrinkles, black circles and 'tired marks' below my eye. (like that curve to clarify) I am only 17 years of age and this has bothered me for over a year now even though i drink lots of water and take plenty of rest. I am quite certain this is also nothing hereditary. I could easily go buy some anti-wrinkle cream for the eye but at such an early age I'm afraid to do so. Do you have any suggestions for what I should do.
