It does not look like mucocele. Just imagine blowing the Skin Under Your Tongue into a bubble, but red. What could it be and what should I do?
Hi I have a small growth Under my Tongue it is about the middle of the lingual frenulum and is just like an extra piece of Skin. It's almost like its a Skin tag but I'm not sure if you can get those in Your mouth. I have had this for about a month now and it doesn't seem to be getting any smaller. Do you have any idea what this could be?
I have an enlarged area Under my Tongue at the area where the tissue joins at the floor of my mouth. I has a white tip and is hard and annoying (slightly painful). Any ideas what that could be?
I have had enflamed Skin Under the Tongue/mouth area.. when i eat different found or sometimes in the morning i feel this wierd tastes and my "glands" or what I'm unsure of get a wierd taste and inflame (get big). A small flap of Skin Under my Tongue seems to be clogged(with fluid and puss) and enlarged. Perhaps this is a secretion gland? Is this something serious? I believe it is puss because I did manage to squeeze a white substance out of it. i also tried to puncture it to drain the fluid, but it did not drain.
I don't know what the little piece of Skin Under the Tongue is called that is sort of like connecting the Tongue to the bottom of Your mouth. Anyways it got torn last night and I was just wondering if that's a bad thing? It hurts a little but not as bad as last night. I am just aSking because I don't know the function of it or if it's important at all. Any feedback would help alot!
How can you better describe them? Are they a pale/white or are they dark? Are they only Under Your Tongue, or are they throughout Your mouth? Have you noticed any other changes in Skin coloration (pigment) anywhere else on Your body?? I would DEFINITELY get a second opinion and even a third before jumping to any conclusions that this is cancer; there are many disorders & conditions that can cause lesions in the mouth, especially lupus.
Under my Tongue felt tender so I got a mirror and checked it out. Underneath my tounge in the very back (Like where teeth stop) I saw what looks like a thick Skin tag. It is very sore. Today I looked again and there are slightly raised places maybe 4 or 5 in the same area, but they dont hurt. I can roll my Tongue over and see it sticking out back there. I showed it to some of my friends and my husband but nobody has a seen anything like it before. What kind of doctor should I see for this?
Hi Doc, I have recently discovered that Under the sides of my Tongue i have a number of tiny non-painful spots, some seem whitish and others more Skin colored. are these normal or do you recommend that i go to see a doctor? the main reson i am concerned abput this is around a month ago i had unprotected sex with someone whom i didnt no there hiv status. i have had no other symptoms of hiv, although yesterday i developed a small mouth ulcer wich wasnt really painful.
I noticed a bump smaller than a BB Under my Tongue and pointed it out to my dentist when I went in for my check up today. She'd done my yearly full jaw x-rays plus the 4 bite wings and said there is no calcification and that this is a tiny clogged salivary gland most probably just thick stuff. She also said it's soft and rolls around and is down where the salivary glands are located. She told me it might remain the same or go away.
I, too have a bump Under my Tongue. It is right on the Skin that connects my Tongue to my lower jaw, so when i move my Tongue, it hurts. It started recently, and has been recurring on and off. However, this morning it was at its fullest and largest size. It appears to be clear, with some sort of transparent fluid inside. It hurts when I eat, for it involved Tongue movement. I do not smoke, chew tobacco, or anything of the sort, nor have I ever. Looking at it, it has gotten MUCH bigger over time.
I have had a lump Under my Tongue towards the back of my mouth for a few weeks. I can't see it but I can feel it Under my Skin and have to get my finger right back Under my Tongue as it is really hard to find. I went to my dentist today, who is referring me to a specialist at the hospital. Now I am scared, is it something serious?
I have just noticed that Under my Tongue there are things that look like Skin tags. They are on the Tongue, not the frenulum. Any idea what these might be? There are about five of these things. They are rather long looking, Tongue-colored filaments.
My mother is having a similar issue. I too think Your "bumps" might be "Tori." I found a great website that was extremely informative. It is www.doctorspiller.com look Under "sores, lumps & bumps." You might not have found info Under Tori because the med name is: Torus Mandibularis. Hope this helps...until I found this website, I was a bit freaked out when my mother asked me to look into her mouth!
Not on the Tongue it self but Under it toward the bottom of the supporting muscle for the Tongue. About an inch or so behind the bottom row of teeth near where the bottom of the mouth divides to go Under neath each side of the Tongue. That did not surprise me since little things like this appear from time to time. However, near it there appear to be two black pin pricks as well and when I looked on the other side of this supporting structure I saw another. These are very very tiny.
I have touch the condom which carries the whatever diseases. I came home and saw some yeast like Under my Skin after four days. I thought it was nothing. Then it appears again. I could be allegic to latex or nanoxyle-9--who knows. I 'm starting reading about HIV how yeast kept reappear. I was stress and paranois for over a week. Every time I think about it, my stomach turn over and have to use the JOHN. This happens for four days. Now I begin to see white Tongue as described above.
For days now, I have this thin white film Under my Tongue. I don't have any pain. It's just bothering me. It's like a thin Skin and It's really bothersome. after I brush my teeth they seem to disappear, but in the morning I have it again. I don't know if it's from bactidol because I used it for 4 days. Prior to this I visited my dentist and she noticed that it was red Under my Tongue, but she said it was normal. Right now it's not as red but like I mentioned I have this thin white film.
Unfortunately I am having all sorts of symptoms. Under my Tongue(mostly) and the upper palate over teeth have finger like (more like strings made out of Skin), they are white in color with really red base. Unfortunately(i just keep saying it!) treating them with tea tree oil is not helping and I am terrified to death. I have no insurance and this is so scary! I had tests done at a free clinic but they were for basic std's which I don't think I have, especially if I only had oral sex...
I questioned him if this could have been caused when I bit a Triscuit cracker wrong and it went Under that side of my Tongue and poked me quite badly. I had to remove it with my finger! He said we'd just be guessing. He did reassure me that he isn't concerned about cancer (I'm a terrible worrier since colon cancer and a met to my liver three years later) with a clear full body PET scan three weeks ago. There is also no redness, ulceration or any external signs of the bump.
One of them along the side of my Tongue rubbed against my tooth and caused a small chunk of Skin on my Tongue to open up and caused me some pain and irritation, and then went away. When I first noticed these mouth bumps, I was also experiencing symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, and other flu-like symptoms which may or may not be related. I saw a doctor for the bumps and he said he thought that I had the coxsackie virus.
I ignored it until recently when I started having pain in my ears and neck. Upon further observation, I noticed the glands Under my Tongue on the same side are swollen too. I have been on Levaquin for 8 days and had the discomfort in my ears and the (not uncomfortable) swelling of both for almost 4 weeks now. The antibiotic has controlled the intense pain, but I can tell it is still there.
I have these small bumps Under my Tongue that have little white centres but are painless I also have a large bump Under the Skin of my Tongue on the floor and it hurts when I apply pressure to it, it's not visible the Underside of my Tongue is also whitish in color
has anyone ever had any other piercing get rejected and then had the Tongue be fine? i'm nervous that my Tongue would reject the piercing if that's even possible. i'm well aware of the chance of infection, chipped teeth, pain in the face, loosing my Tongue, and maybe even dying so please don't waste Your time with writing about all of those things. i have a specific question. can Tongue piercings reject and was anyone else in my situation.
My Tongue turned white and slightly blue right before my eyes about 3 weeks ago. It was very alarming. The doctor said it was a panic attack. I feel as if I have a nerve or something pinched in the back of my neck/head. My Tongue has turned white/blue since as I have become very anxious over this event. I feel my neck and shoulders tighten and experience a cold feeling in the back of my head and into my face.
my SIL told us that our dd is Tongue tied. i've never heard of this before. has anyone had any experience w/ this? i've read a little about it and i will call the doctor tomorrow to ask about it. i read that it can easily be fixed in the doctor's office by just clipping some tissue from Underneath the tounge but then i read somewhere else that she could possible have to be put Under general anesthesia to do it. i'm just confused b/c i know nothing about it...
Now i have a very wierd scar and what feels like a hard lump Under my Skin where the earing was. I also had several ear piercings that did the same thing and i have very bad scarring. i have heard the Tongue is very painful; the bar is also very large, so they dont just stick a needle in Your Tongue, they actually remove a chunk of it! my friend had it done and it freaked her out that the needle was hollow!
The orange, I believe to likely have been from one of one of the bacteria I had contracted from a tick bite. As I grew more and more ill, my Skin Under tones also changed to orangish/copper like color (enough to have had to change the colors of my makeup). After treatment, my Skin color also went back to normal. Let me be clear. I'm not saying the orange has to do with Lymes. Tick bites frequently transmit more than one type bacteria.
