About two weeks ago I noticed after a tanning my normal session of 20 minutes I had white oval type spots on my chest, stomach, back, and inner thighs. Immediately after tanning my skin was very blotchy and itchy. I haven't gone back to tan since, which was about two weeks ago. I get an occassional itch here and there but the spots are still there.

Hi How old is your son? White spots on the skin may suggest differentials such as pityriasis alba, tinea versicolor and vitiligo. Based on your description, vitiligo is not likely as this usually presents with a stark white patch of skin with well demarcated borders. In your case, pityriasis alba and a fungal infection may be differentials. Pityriasis usually affects the face or the arms in children. Tinea versicolor may show light white discolorations on the skin with light central scaling.
The doctor will remove a layer of skin so that the new layer can thrive and fill in the wrinkles or spots. During the consultation, the doctor will observe your skin tone which determines the correct laser needed to eliminate your age spots. You will have to give it at least a month for the results to show because the skin cell turn-over time is about 28 days. ref:http://www.articlesbase.com/medicine-articles/laser-resurfacing-for-age-spots-and-brown-spots-472827.

It is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes (the cells that make pigment) in the skin are destroyed. As a result, white patches appear on the skin in different parts of the body. Diagnosis can be confirmed by external examination, blood tests to check skin cell count for melanocytes and biopsy of the skin patches.Pls consult a dermatologist for that. I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.

This fungus produces spots that are either lighter than surrounding skin or reddish-brown. There may be just a few spots or many. What causes tinea versicolor? Tinea versicolor is caused by a fungus that lives in the skin of almost all adults. This fungus exists in two forms, one of which causes visible spots. Factors that can cause the fungus to become more visible include high humidity and immune or hormone abnormalities.
Are they small red spots, or does it look like blotchy red spots? Blotchy red spots are completely normal. People with lighter skin tone get them often, as when it's cold your blood vessels constrict taking blood away from the skin's surface. Then these red blotchy looking areas show. Do try to dress warm and keep yourself warm. These spots should not be constantly there for a long period of time. You want to be warm to have better circulation.
Hello, About a couple months back I noticed that on my forehead my skin started getting a little darker in one spot and now the spot is bigger than a quarter. Its not really dark but you can see the difference. What could it be?
There are several causes of white spots on the skin. You would have to consult a skin specialist to find out the definite diagnosis and rule out tinea versicolor, pityriasis alba, vitiligo, lichen sclerosis et atrophicus and secondary to healing process after an injury. Pityrospum ovale or Tinea Versicolor is a yeast like organism - treatment is with oral medication called Nizoral , topical are not that effective.

I also get the little blisters on my feet. So does my husband. I am a skin care expert, I used to teach skin care. Because of what I do I have talked to several dermatologist and naturopathic doctors. No one can say for sure what they are. Yes they itch and when the fill too much with fluid they will hurt I normally lance them and leave them alone. I find when my feet get sweaty they will occur the most. I have asked if they think they are contagious the experts say no.
Pimples, boils or abscesses on the breast can occur just like on skin anywhere else on the body. This can happen for various reasons, from pores clogged with dead skin and oil, to bacterial infection . Since pus has come out upon squeezing ,you should see an improvement, but you should avoid further squeezing the sore because you might make things worse.Keep the area clean, wash with an antibacterial soap and see if it goes away in a week or so.
They are rather small, but a couple years ago I noticed two new moles on my back so I thought I might have a skin problem. I have also had head and heart problems so I don't know if it has more to do with that. My heart has scared me by beating too fast sometimes, and other times I just stop breathing but I can't move or speak to catch a breathe or ask someone next to me for help. My headaches are usually very sharp pains from front to the back.

Ok, so I am a young guy, who had a good time in high school but had a serious girlfriend, and after her never did anything really stupid. However, a few days ago I noticed a few red spots on the shaft of my penis. I immediately freaked out and started reading every article on the web about genital herpes. I have show known of the symptoms or side-effects of herpes, except for the spots. However, the following day all but two were gone. Then today after my basketball game I had a few spots again.
