I've had redness and soreness in the crease of my buttocks above the tailbone (coccyx?).....I've tried different ointments but it's pretty persistent...it started after I ate big apples (one a day) for a while and then I got loose bowels which I think is the source of this ongoing problem (two weeks or so)... any suggestions for a cure?
after a period of loose bowels i've had soreness in the buttocks crease above the tailbone...what can I do for that?
In between obvious lesions, the virus periodically sheds from the anogenital area too. The skin on the buttocks ( and thighs ) is too thick for the virus to penetrate to the skin to shed from without an obvious lesion present. Also ob's on the buttocks take longer to heal the skin than ob's on the softer genital mucosa.
I am a 24 year old male who first noticed a sore between my butt 6 months ago. It does not hurt or itch and the skin under the sore is hard and larger than the visible sore. Recently two more sores developed in the same area between my butt cheeks. Recently they must have been rubbing against my pants and started to bleed. They are the size of a dime and are all developing close to my butt crack. I have been with my girlfriend for over a year and half now.

Forcing past 2 weeks have had mild soreness And some tingling sensation in buttocks Dermatologist said some minor follicultis and GP Said mild heat rash. To me can't really see anything and trust dermatologist a bit more Than what General practioner said. Neither one addressed my question which I pose to you What could be causing this? Before two weeks ago I had Zero issues there. Never any rashes or anything. I am not a person that sweats a lot at all. Any thoughts on causes(s)?
Skin to skin contact with active sores is generally the way Herpes is transmitted.
I have had skin sores on my breast, buttocks, bikini area, face, thighs and under my arms for 9 years. They are on both sides of my body in the same area. This morning my new dermatologists called to discuss my lab results. He informed me that the lab was able to grow bacteria from the sample he sent from one of my skin sores. He then stated that they could be caused from a mild staff infection, and that they can be treated with antibiotics.
Your doctor probably will want to do a blood test (an a1c test) to see how good your glucose control has been so that he can tell whether poor glucose control is a factor at all in the development of these sores. If your control is great and the sores are due to something else, your doctor is really the person who can best find out what it is that is causing them. I hope you can find some relief soon.
In between obvious lesions, you shed the virus periodically from the entire anogenital area and not from the area where you typically so far have had obvious lesions at. The skin on the buttocks is too thick for the virus to shed from without obvious lesions present. so what this means is there is absolutely no difference between your infection and someone who typically gets obvious lesions on their actual genitals. make sense?
Rockoff, About a week and 1/2 ago I devloped a rash somewhat uniformly on both sides of my buttocks. The rash eventually was concentrated on the bottom of each cheek and in the folds (where my butt meets the top part of my leg). It is not in my anus. I am not an obese person but I am husky and tend to sweat alot this time of year. I think the rash came about when I was wearing jeans and boxer briefs.
I had protected sex 8 months ago (vaginal only) with a promiscuous women. 6 weeks ago I developed a "boil" on my right buttock. I went to the doctor and he prescrobed antibiotics and it drained in about a week. One week after being healed, I developed a "boil" on my right buttock. I soon therafter developed several "pimples" that were sore to the touch all on my right buttock.
I hear about how herpes is direct skin to skin contact. but can herpes linger in my clothes? I am worried now because my penis is sore from grinding and well I guess I'm afraid that its symptoms of an outbreak. I happen to also shave my testicles with a razor blade that same night after and the bumps seem to just be from my pubic hairs on my testicles. Is it also possible I opened myself up more that way too even though I shaved after dry humping in jeans with an infected person?
I HAVE A PATCH OF SKIN ABOUT THE SIZE OF A NICKLE ON MY LEFT BUTTOCKS (UP HIGHER TOWARD MY BACK, THAN DOWN ON MY CHEEK) THAT IS ITCHY AND SCABBED OVER. IT DOES'NT ITCH CONSTANTLY, BUT WHEN IT DOES ITCH- IT REALLY ITCHES. WHAT COULD THIS BE?
However, in some cases, the rash can cause pimples, blisters and other sores. Most diaper rashes are caused by skin irritation which can be caused by diapers that rub against the skin or fit too tightly. This may also occur if the baby is left in a wet or dirty diaper for a long period of time. Other causes may be from the the soap used to wash cloth diapers, or by some brands of disposable diapers or baby wipes.
I have recently noticed a rash between my buttocks. It is not sore or itchy. Does not burst or ooze. I have a desk job and sit down most of the day. There is nothing on or near my genitals. I have been to my ob/gyn and she said everything looked normal. I noticed it about 5 days ago. Was wondering what I can do to clear it up.
I have a spot on my left buttock that is now red, sore and itchy. The day before it became a 2" eruption on my skin, I noticed a hard knot under the skin, kind of similar to a large pimple getting ready to appear. This is the third time this has occured in the past 3 years, in the same area. I've gone to the doctor thinking I may have gotten bitten by a spider, because after a few days it starts to dry out and get itchier and spread a little more.
Hello, These sores need to be evaluated for herpes sores. Most individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When signs do occur, they typically appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur.
For the past 8 mos I've had a rash on the inside of my buttocks especially around my anus. Sometimes it red & irritated; other times only slightly. But it's always there. I've seen my GYN & 3 dermatologists. They first thought yeast but quickly ruled it out. Another thought Intertrigo. But I've taken every bacterial & fungal medicine available, used powders, kept it dry & taken care with clothing but nothing helps. All Drs.
I have recently noticed red bumps on my inner buttocks (only right side). I thought they were just bug bites until it began to spread along the right side on my inner buttocks. Then I noticed a similar rash on the bottom right side of my scrotum. After a couple days this all just kept spreading and getting more painful. It doesn't seem to be spreading fast, or even at all on my scrotum, but it is sore/painful and itchy.
Hey, I'm a 21 year old guy, and about 5 months ago, I had unsafe sex with a girl. About two days after that, I had a barely noticeable rash underneath each buttocks. Its in the crease where my buttocks meet my leg, and follows almost up to my crotch. It's pinkish color, and not really raised. It feels like a chafing when I walk, and made sitting very uncomfortable.
