Avatar n tn I had the skin testing for food allegies and came up negative. I think I may have food sensitivities. One allergist told me to avoid sulfites. The lastest rashes aren't responding to cortisone cream. I had a swollen lip 1 1/2 days after dental work. Took pred for 1 day. Got the rash a few days afterwards It seems like my immune system is overactive. Am tired of the itching! I don't want to go back to Doxepin which I have been off just 4 days.
Avatar m tn hi..... I have odd type skin rashes or swelling..... I live in cold county(canada). I get rashes only in the hands(from fingers to wrist only) that too only if go out only. Inside the house,I'm pretty normal. but once I go out(where the temperature will be in minus) I get rashes only in hands which is not covered, rest of my body will be covered with jackets and winter shoes. so which made me to think. whether this rash is because of the climatic change (this sounds really weird).

Ocassional rashes when Ive used new bath products, etc. But since I delivered my 2nd child I have itching and rashes all over my body. Something will itch & when I look @ the area there will be "whelps" and if i scratch it will turn into a horrible rash that will go away by next day only to happen in another area. Is this common after pregnany? Will it go away? Its driving me crazy.
Avatar n tn My body pricks and inflames under the slightest heat. Rashes come out of my body as a result and disappears when my body cools down. Because of this I can't go out when the weather is hot, sleep when hot and can't exercise too. I've been having this for over six months now. I've hard a series of blood tests and everything was considered OK. Doctors have been giving me anti histamines and itching relief creams but the problem still persists. Please help me.
Avatar n tn Hello, It can be due to ringworm or scabies, both of which are contagious and very itchy rashes. Ringworm presents as red circular itchy skin patches. To confirm the diagnosis, please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist. KOH examination of the skin scrapings can be done for fungal infections. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

The mainstay of treatment of hives is antihistamine which may be necessary for prolonged periods (in excess of 6 weeks). Take non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine or Loratadine.

Avatar n tn i have had itchy painful skin rashes on my hands since the summer. they start out small and itchy and progress to larger painful and itchy red raised patches on my hands that last about 5 days disappear and then return at odd intervals. i have been to a dermatologist who is stymied by it and has told me she's never seen anything like it. i have had blood work and also a biopsy of the rash which has turned up nothing.
