Okay I actually had a SMALL patch of this on my upper arm not long ago. I never mentioned it to my doctor because I'd always forget. Instead I stopped using this particular lotion and it went away. Try to see if changing detergent or using a different body wash (NO SOAP--- it is very drying for your skin). If it doesn't go away, after doing the above mentioned, definitely ask your doctor what it might be. It just looks like extremely dry skin from the picture.

Hello, There are many possibilities for such a rash like allergic reaction, fungal rashes, shingles rash, viral rashes, heat rash, sweat dermatitis or pityriasis rosea. I have asked about VERY itchy skin and it sounds like I am not alone. In addition to the itchiness, my skin is red for the most part of the day. It is over most of my body - face, arms, chest. Does anyone else have that happen? I am wondering if Benadryl would help. If it is due to my wacky autonomic nervous system (is it?), is there really anything that could help. It is driving me crazy and at times I am scratching so hard that I actually tear up my skin.

I have read on stress and anxiety websites that the burning sensation can be typical in severe stress and fear thinking. Trust me I am there. I have seen pics of scarlet fever and other rashes. They either looked very raised or describe it has sandpaper. You would not know to touch that I had a rash (if that is what i should be calling it). My sign looks like it is tanned and was in the sun, not blotchy at all. And no open sores any where on my body. And it is not like a deep red.

This happened to me on the same day when I have GERD. Is it normal to have this skin rashes after GERD or this could be Shingles? Please help.

And after a day the problem of her skin rashes just disappeared. So it all seems it was the new detergent that was causing the problem! Thanks a lot for the help.

I have been getting skin rashes from my early childhood. These Rashes tend to come mostly during the Summer months of the year. They usually seem like a mosquito bite. They first occurs behind the ear, then around the neck, head scalp and spread to the back. Finally i get them even in my face. They are very itchy . They usually seem to have a cycle like 24 hours. They start by afternoon and get intense by evening and disappear while i sleep. The body gets heated up so much during that time.

hi..... I have odd type skin rashes or swelling..... I live in cold county(canada). I get rashes only in the hands(from fingers to wrist only) that too only if go out only. Inside the house,I'm pretty normal. but once I go out(where the temperature will be in minus) I get rashes only in hands which is not covered, rest of my body will be covered with jackets and winter shoes. so which made me to think. whether this rash is because of the climatic change (this sounds really weird).

Hello, I posted about two weeks ago about my severe sore (strep) throat and skin peeling. After all of that was done a couple of more things happened that I'm not sure if I should associate it with ARS. First I got a canker sore in the upper gum of my mouth near the base, which may have been caused by me going hard with the toothbrush. I'm not really sure if canker sores may be signs of ARS or not but since I have the toothbrush excuse I'm not really worried about it.

I did not change my makeup, laundry detergent, or skin care products before it began. I have fair, sensitive skin as well. Can anyone offer insight into what it may be? http://s1068.photobucket.

They are extremely pruritic, chronic, and flare up frequently. Often dry scaly skin detaches from the area with subsequent bleeding from the underlying skin. The skin is also darker in pigmentation. Can you give me a diagnosis (ezcema?, psoriasis?, ???) and help with suggestions for topical treatment?

There’s no bumpy spot/any zit in the rashes, just plain pinky red skin areas, as if it was irritated skin areas. There are like 5 of them, close one to another. It appeared about 2 weeks ago and it didn’t get any better for few days until I visited a dermatologist at Saturday (9 days ago).

I got some rashes on my legs yesterday after being in the sun for 7-8 hours. It was very hot and humid yesterday. Of course I wore sun screen and kept re-applying. I say these arent stretch marks becasue my skin is still smooth in these areas I have had fat strech marks before and baby stretch marks and these are completely diffrent. I have lost at least 80 lbs since Febuary of last year and other than that I have had no other major health changes. If any one can please please please let me know what these things are I would be estatic to know....Oh yes..they dont hurt , they dont itch, they dont burn..

I don't know what I have but about a week ago I had unprotected sex with a woman and then within a day or two I've had rashes on both my arms that didn't seem to itch. They've been itching now and spreading and I'm worried if it's just a normal rash or a sign of std.
