Avatar f tn At 3 months Vl was undetablee. Recently I have started having rashes all over my body. I feel like Im having an allergic reaction to something but I haven't changed anything. Did any of you start to experience rashes or server itchiness or dry skin?
Avatar m tn I have been getting skin rashes from my early childhood. These Rashes tend to come mostly during the Summer months of the year. They usually seem like a mosquito bite. They first occurs behind the ear, then around the neck, head scalp and spread to the back. Finally i get them even in my face. They are very itchy . They usually seem to have a cycle like 24 hours. They start by afternoon and get intense by evening and disappear while i sleep. The body gets heated up so much during that time.
Avatar f tn This whole pregnancy I have had allergic reactions to deodorants, and developed a crazy itchy rash from it. It is finally starting to clear up, but man it awful. Our bodies do all kinds of weird things while pregnant.
Avatar f tn What type of allergic reactions have you or someone you know, experienced from food allergies?
Avatar f tn On exposure to the allergen, an Immunologic (IgE) or a non-immunologic reaction is set in process, which ultimately releases histamine, which acts at the peripheral receptors, resulting in allergic reactions and rashes. Antihistamines block the histamine receptors and prevent histamine from acting and thus help in preventing rashes. So, take OTC antihistamines to avoid the allergic reactions. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn I moved from a very humid climate to a dry, colder climate/higher altitude this winter. Since moving here, we both have developed rashes throughout our body. Dry skin, kind of scaly but not quite, just noticible, red patches some no bigger than a dime some larger. They itch too. I have to assume that this is due to the climate change, but wonder what would be good treatment. I have tried a combination of a good moisturizer mixed with hydrocortisone cream with no luck.
Avatar m tn Just take precautionary measures and visit your doctor only if you experience allergic symptoms like skin rashes, breathing difficulties, itching etc. Allergy triggers, also known as allergens, are substances that cause allergic reactions.
Avatar n tn The more common causes are bacterial and viral infections.Although autoimmune disease and allergic reactions also present with a generalized rash. I just have a few questions: Would you be able to describe the rash? Is it reddish, violaceous or skin colored? Are they flat or elevated? Are they itchy or painful? Are there any ulcerations, excoriations or discolorations? What made you think this could be due to an HIV infection? Any significant history that points towards this?
Avatar n tn Did they happen to give protamine sulfate to reverse the heparin afterwards? If so, are you diabetic? Or how about the local anesthetic? Did they use procaine? Or how about the contrast dye used for imaging? Latex allergy? And next time, you can ask them to give corticosteroids beforehand, instead of the antihistamine, to try and lessen the reaction.
Avatar n tn Titanium is chemically very inert. In fact, titanium is most probably the best tolerated metal inside the body. The titanium marker left after breast biopsy is very tiny, about the size of a sesame seed. Generally, the benefit of using these clips far outweighs possible negative effects.
Avatar n tn The togetherness in sport activities also creates an environment for spreading skin diseases. Rashes on skin are temporary conditions affecting athletes that can sometimes be a warning sign of a serious skin infection.
Avatar f tn Skin conditions like psoriasis, dermatitis, lice, scabies and hives, internal diseases like liver and kidney disorders, diabetes, iron deficiency anemia, irritation and allergic reactions to chemicals, wool, soaps, cosmetics and certain foods can cause itchy skin. You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing.
Avatar f tn Your physician may be considering an allergic skin reaction here. I would also consider an allergy here since the rash appears in most parts of the body. If the rash is more localized, then I would be thinking of a contact dermatitis. But for a more systemic rash, allergic reactions and even infections have to be ruled out. It is necessary to determine any circumstance or activities surrounding the onset of the rash.
Avatar n tn Other treatment options include oral antihistaminics, topical or oral decongestants for rhinitis and nasal congestion; topical steroids for skin rashes and itching; oral steroids in more severe cases and bronchodilators in cases of difficulty in breathing and wheezing. These medications all help to relieve short term symptoms of allergic reactions. However, there is a way of preventing the long term symptoms of allergies.
1763193 tn?1488895865 For two years I've been having reactions to food I eat. I've never had reactions before but suddenly I'm having trouble with random foods. Even weirder is these allergies seem to change. Sometimes I can eat a certain food, say apples, other times it'll make my mouth hurt, cheek swell, and cause rashes. Can allergies change so rapidly? I saw a few doctors and they had no idea what to do for me. Out of desperation I saw a Naturalist.
Avatar n tn I have extemely itchy skin but NO rashes. It started on my arms behind my knees and my inter legs. What can I do to stop the itching. My girls are also having this problem now.
Avatar f tn All through the pregnancy, all rashes and reactions didnt exist. Could I be wrong?? can the allergic reactions affect my kidneys?? Could they cause the hemorrhage?? I know im asking a lot and I do apologise for the length of my moaning and complaining.
Avatar m tn If you are feeling unwell with it it could be mabye chickenpox, which means you are infectious and need time off school etc. Or it could be an allergic reaction, or a skin condition. Really you need to have this checked out, particularly as it seems to be spreading. Make an appointment with your doctor. They will also likely be able to prescribe you treatment for the itching. Get well soon.
