The first sign is usually a tingling feeling, itchiness, or stabbing pain on the skin. After a few days, a rash appears as a band or patch of raised dots on the side of the trunk or face. The rash develops into small, fluid-filled blisters which begin to dry out and crust over within several days. When the rash is at its peak, symptoms can range from mild itching to extreme and intense pain. My advice would be to consult a dermatologist. I hope it helps.
Hello, Itchy skin that isn't accompanied by other obvious skin changes, such as a rash, is most often caused by dry skin (xerosis). Other conditions cause itchy skin as well. Skin conditions like psoriasis, dermatitis, lice, scabies and hives, internal diseases like liver and kidney disorders, diabetes, iron deficiency anemia, irritation and allergic reactions to chemicals, wool, soaps, cosmetics and certain foods can cause itchy skin. You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area.
For the past few weeks I've had a burning sensation whenever the skin on the underside of my arm between my armpit and elbow is touched spanning the entire length. There is NO visual indication of irritation or rash of any kind. The skin looks completely notmal, just hurts to touch...feels like a rug burn! Since this started, I've tried different brands of deoderant and laundry detergent but it has not resolved the problem.
I've been on Doxycycline for almost 6 weeks now and I did feel a little bit better for a while. However, I still have a couple of symptoms left -- one is this burning pain on my skin. I actually feel it on my tongue sometimes, too. It moves around; hard to explain but it feels almost like a freezer burn would feel. It comes & goes in intensity, and it moves around, but mostly affects my forearms and lower legs. It has not gotten any better since on treatment.
I clarified that my problem was that my skin was sensitive, sore and feels like its burning after washing, and asked if differin would dry out my skin. She said that while it helped my "acne" it would also help with my eczma and that I should leave it on overnight. She said I should try to stop using my moisturiser too and just use the sunscreen, as this with the differin would be enough. I put my fears aside and trusted her and followed her advice.

About a year and half ago I developed a red itching, burning rash on the back of my neck. It cleared up after a few months of hydrocort cream. Now the last 9 months I have gotten this rash on my face, underder my breast, belly and sides and on my buttocks. It itches really bad, it also burns and I get these little white puscules that ooze until it dries up. Now I have been to see my PCP and dermatologist and I get a different answer from both of them.
Hi, This sounds like a fungal infection of the skin.It causes itching or a burning sensation in the groin area, thigh skin folds. Affected areas may appear red, tan, or brown, with flaking, peeling, or cracking skin. The border may exhibit tiny pimples or even pustules, with central areas that are reddish and dry with small scales. Anti-fungal agents containing tolnaftate, clotrimazole or miconazoleavailable as can be applied on the affected areas twice a day.
Will a prescription cream be that much better? The rash has also given my skin blisters from the itchiness. Will they leave scars? Should I take anything to make the healing process better? Also, about 6 months ago I first saw my doctor and he prescribed an anti-itch and told me to use otc creams. Between then and now I've tried them all to no prevail, why would he prescribe me a prescription anti itch and non-prescription cream? Shouldnt the cream have been prescription?
