They may readily resolve with topical antifungal medications however ,the area may stay a little lighter than the rest of the skin . Have this assessed by your physician.This does not sound like an urgent case but you may need to have this managed to prevent further spread if this is indeed caused by a fungal infection.

Applying topical antifungals may help. Keep the area dry and clean. Do not scrub or allow wet clothes to dry on the body.

Avatar f tn I have these like little white bumps on my forearms, and on my wrists, al I have white spots and patches on my neck, a little bit on my shoulders, not so many on my back, and there are these like brownish spots on my chest, and after I take showers, all the spots seem to get dry.. On my neck, the patches get dry too and it seems like a blackish layer of skin appears near the patches, also all the white spots seem to get whiter everytime I'm done with the shower...

Avatar m tn Hello, At this age, these white patches on scrotum can be due to dry skin, eczema or fungal infection( when chronic). Wash the areas and wear cotton undergarments. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.

Avatar f tn I suggest that you continue with the sunscreen as this in many ways offer skin protection. Bring your child to a dermatologist to have this white patches assessed. I do not think these white patches are caused by the sun. Are these itchy? Do these bumps scale?
