4592637 tn?1356920531 The tip and the nail of the finger turned black and the skin sloughed off. The new skin is raw and bloody and will not heal. They have ruled out any circulation problems. Now it is happening to two more fingers. Has anyone seen this before or have any idea what could be causing this?
Avatar n tn long story short dr said it was nothing next dr found it was basal cell skin cancer they removed a penny size cirle of skin and it took some time to heal she is fine ,,,skin cancer these days is highly treatable.,,,,,the only other thing I can think of is her not healing could be a staph infection but the docs shoulda noticed that...did they do a cbc?

Avatar f tn Hi The bump was infected but the bacterial infection has likely healed already. I would advise that you stop picking on the bump as blistering may occur if a dermatitic or viral infection may be present. This may not be something serious however if redness and discharge may be present then we may think of a bacteria as a likely cause. However for blisters with no associated pain, a dermatitic skin condition or viral infection may be considered.
1858721 tn?1319818158 I went to my fcp and they had several docs look at it and they said that it looks like a burn. They said that it could be a fungal infection or eczema. They prescribed me triamcinolone 0.1% and told me to apply 2-3 times daily. This has done nothing to help. I originally was putting antibiotic ointment on it and that will seem like it's helping and then it will bubble up once again.
Avatar m tn A few days ago I was itching my finger and some skin came off. It hurt at first but it wasn't bleeding so I just forgot about it. Then about 30 minutes later it starter to leak some kind of pus or something, not very thick though kind of like a pimple or something. So I just let it heal over a few days. It started to turn into a scab like thing the next day, then that night I accidentally itched it and the scab part fell off and I started bleeding a bit.

Avatar n tn The unbroken skin over a blister provides a natural barrier to infection. This means that you should try to keep blisters intact and unbroken in order to avoid infection. Try not to pierce a blister with a needle, but allow it to break on its own once the skin underneath has healed. Let us know if you need any further information. Regards.
