skin cream to reduce redness

My face is red along my jawline both sides from approximately bottom of my ear to my chin. Is there anyway to reduce the redness to its original state? I have this redness for a long time. Im using Avene light hydrating cream for the dryness. Any advice is welcomed.

That is an inflammatory condition. Doctors may tell you to use a cream, but the cream may thin your skin and discolor it. You may have better luck reducing foods that are inflammatory, such as sugar and grains and reduce sugary drinks. Tea tree oil may help. Google rosacea and see what other say. I think it can be related to celiac disease.

I have a scar on my face and I had a scar removal incision done on it to reduce the appearance of the scar about 2-3 years ago. however, it is STILL red and the apperance i believe have gotten worse than it was prior to the surgery. when wil the redness go away?

Both of those conditions can cause your skin to become very red and bumpy. Elidel controls those symptoms, so it is logical that if you reduce or stop using the cream, the symptoms will resurface.
