Skelaxin opiate withdrawal

Common Questions and Answers about Skelaxin opiate withdrawal

skelaxin

Avatar m tn I tKe it as prescribed I have never gone over the maximum dose, I am just concerned about possible withdrawal or anything like that from skelaxin. I have read up on it a lot and it seems pretty harmless and safe, especially compared to other back pain medications. I have refused somas and other narcotics because I don't want to go down that road. Just concerned if say I work 5 days in a row and I take the skelaxin every day. Than I'm off for two days.
Avatar f tn As the result of a back injury in February, I began taking Soma and 10 mgs of hydrocodone at night to help me sleep. I took no pain killers during the day, just Skelaxin. I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night.

Avatar m tn He too gets wicked muscle spasms and takes the Flexeril for that. It helps him. I am an opiate addict (for effect) but do get bad lower back pain at night, probably from carrying 60 pounds on my small frame during pregnancy...and I am getting older. I do not get any effect that I find appealing and have never abused it even though I have access to it. Soma, however, is super potent. One of our friend's wives became addicted to opiates and soma and died of sn accidental overdose last fall.

Avatar f tn he is not having opiate withdrawal if he is taking sub. Why the dexedrine and for how long? If you are thinking drug withdrawal you probably should look at the benzodiazepines and the amphetamine. From my experience sub was worthless as a pain medication. So he may really be in pain. Does he have an organic reason for pain?
