Skelaxin hydrocodone

Common Questions and Answers about Skelaxin hydrocodone

skelaxin

As the result of a back injury in February, I began taking Soma and 10 mgs of hydrocodone at night to help me sleep. I took no pain killers during the day, just Skelaxin. I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night.
cymbalta flexiril provigil skelaxin ziac (blood pressure) nexium progesterone hydrocodone
And a muscle relaxer like Flexeril, Robaxin, Skelaxin, or Baclofen. An opiate is not very good at those types of pain so most people are on these types of meds in addition to any opiate they are prescribed. May I ask what your pain issue is? I have had 3, two-level, cervical fusions and still have severe herniations in my upper thoracic as well as lumbar region.
What is the best way to ween off hydrocodone/lortab 7.5? I took 6 per day and went down to 4 a day. I have taken 4 each day for the last 7 days. Should I drop a pill each week? Would dropping a pill every 2 weeks make for easier w/d? I have been taking the pills for est. 5 years. Thanks.
The pain became the worst ever to the point of tears. The doctor prescribed skelaxin 800mg, it didn't help, then I added 400mg Advil.. The pain somehow got better, but still there. So Went for Motrin 800mg with Skelaxin, didn't help. So finally she gave a prescription of Tramadol 50mg.. it doesn't work. I don't what to do, I can sleep, I can't move my head, it's hard to drive. I had tried ice therapy and about to start heat theraphy, but I'm still waiting for the swelling to go down.
Any relief from a narcotic (oxycodone, hydrocodone, demerol etc) will, be shot-lived; The receptors for pain medication in your brain simply adjust to whatever you are taking, and the dose must be increased to relieve the pain again. At some point you will run out of room to keep going up on the dose.
I take for FMS cymbalta, flexiril, hydrocodone, skelaxin, nexium, and ziac (high blood pressure). I have had rounds of PT for FMS w/o much success.
I think it's b/c we are always seeking new information hoping something will help. I take Flexiril, hydrocodone, cymbalta, skelaxin, ziac for high blood pressure, and nexium. I took lyrica but could not tolerate the side effects. I also took tramadol but it was like popping a tic-tac for me. It did nothing! I also use a C-PAP machine for sleep apnea. Sleep disorders and fibro seem to go hand in hand. I have tried several meds for cholesterol, but they all made my fibro worse!!!
Eight months! I throw up, I cant sleep. It has been 10 months. I take hydrocodone, skelaxin, and neurotin. I need, want, must go back to work and am running out of time to get back to work. Please email me..Nothing was mentioned about about leg pain, I can barely function. The doctors refuse to comment on hit, and try to diffuse it. Has anybody any insight with regard to this? This discussion is related to <a href='/posts/show/296982'>Sciatic pain after lumbar fusion</a>.
After many failed therapies and medicines such as Tramadol, Diclofenac, most NSAIDs, anti-depressants (Cymbalta, Zoloft), Lyrica, steroid injections (Kenalog, Depo Medrol), and Skelaxin, I believe it's time to see a pain specialist, someone who know what they're talking about when it comes to pain. I tried some of my left over hydrocodone from my wisdom teeth extraction, and its the only thing that has helped, and I didn't notice any bad side effects like many people say.

Hi, I started taking ultram for multiple vehicle injuries. Ultram didn't work, they tried Tylenol3, tylenol3 didn't work they tried hydrocodone, that didn't work..so they tried percoset 5/325 6X a day. I got used to that dose now im on 7.5/325 6x a day. The more I NEED them. The more I want them. I am definitely addicted but it is not a good addiction. I get very mean, and emotionless over nothing. I go to physical therapy 3x a week. So it is all legit.
on here....I can't imagine someone being moved from only taking Hydrocodone which is low on the totem pole of medications all the way to something like the Fentanyl patch which is one of the strongest medications out there. It is ONLY for opiate tolerant paitents... You have plenty of other medication choices to move to and see if this helps.
They put me on baclofen, flexerol, skelaxin, and then finally Tramadol! None of these worked for me, and Tramadol made me an addict when I had never been addicted in my life! Today is day 4 of c/t from tram. and it's been hell. But Soma was never an issue for me. Another site www.rxlist.com shows a lot of people who had success with Soma as I did, and had the same trouble with their doctors not wanting to give it to them any more.
my primary doctor prescribed skelaxin. i am in the middle of having cataract surgery. one eye last week, second eye next week. pain down arm is only during night. I do not sleep on my arm, only on my back. However, my shoulder is restricted to movements allthe time. Putting a shirt on is diffucult, movement is limited.
In 2002 I started to have real bad headaches and then came the Hydrocodone. We started out at 5/750 for a while, being when needed to 7.5/500 four to six times a day for three to four years. That was one doctor, another doctor had given me a script for just 10 pills every now and then between the other refills, which he did not know I was getting.
1) Skelaxin -- No apparent effect. 2) Tolmetin -- No apparen effect. 3) Tramadol -- Makes me naseous 8 hours later. No pain relief 4) Clonazepam -- No apparent effect 5) Cyclobenzeprine -- Given to help me sleep. Seems to help about 70% of the time 6) Hydrocodone -- Gives slight relief. Sadly, also gives me nasty headaches. 7) Oxycodone-- Only one that seems to give me some relief. It provides me with about 30 minutes of no pain plus a lowering of pain for the day.

I have a feeling that I'm suffering from some sort of nerve condition since the pain is in the soles and sometimes the palms. Hydrocodone does very little for the pain. I am living a very sedentary life so I can manage the pain. Can you give me some tips on what I may have? I have also tried Medrol-DosePak, Indomethacin, Daypro, Flexaril, Darvocet, Skelaxin, and Robaxin. They had no effect on my condition or pain.
For the last eleven years, I have been prescribed various pain meds and muscle relaxers, from skelaxin and darvocet, to hydrocodone and flexeril. I had allergic reactions to some of them, and others don't help unless taken in large doses. I don't like to take pain medication, so the only time I do is when I can no longer hold my head up, or if it interferes with work. I have been going to physical therapy for approximately 2 1/5 months.

there was also from the injury that occurred a herniated disc bulging out to the right which was the cause of the leg problems on the right side, still not sure why its causing the amount of back spasms I am currently on skelaxin , hydrocodone 10/660apap and when they aren't doing the trick for the pain I am perscribed oxycodone 5mg, and i don't have it siting in front of me but a strong form of anti-inflamatory that is in the motrin family.I am also now wearing a back brace.

Everyone was very dilligent in trying to help me but no one has been able to. I have been prescribed anti-inflammatories, non-narcotic pain relievers (skelaxin and tramadol), hydrocodone, flexeril, and lyrica. Some have helped for a while but not long term. I use ice and a tens-unit which help short term. I am at my wits end as to what to do next. I have two degenerated discs (C-5 and C-6) but have come to believe it is muscular.
I've seen a PCP, then ortho, then workers comp doctor - none will prescribe anything other than hydrocodone, which I don't mind - but the doses don't affect me much. Originally when I had a bulging disc, I was on Percocet and Oxycontin because I was in a manual labor field, then it ruptured and my original doctor moved - and now my new doctor is kind of screwing me.
I'm in a hell of alot of pain and i have exedrine back and body along with skelaxin to manage with. completely ineffective. I fully agree that medications should be managed and watched but... they have their place. I miss having a full life.
