skelaxin high abuse

t take during the day,as I have small kids and it made me VERY sleepy!) Then I was put on Skelaxin and I feel like that does nothing( 800mg. 3x day) I could take 2 at one time and still...nothing? I think I'm going to ask to go back on Flexeril(for bed time) to reduce my pain and spasms) Thanks!

Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!

I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know. I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".

I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.

As the result of a back injury in February, I began taking Soma and 10 mgs of hydrocodone at night to help me sleep. I took no pain killers during the day, just Skelaxin. I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night.

Felt bump and determined was musculoskeletal. Prescribed anti-inflammatory (Naproxen) and muscle relaxer (Skelaxin). Told me to take as needed (didn’t have to take the full bottle). Took prescriptions for 4 days, Skelaxin caused stomach cramping even when taken as directed. Urine test came back cloudy with high white blood cell count. Concluded was very dehydrated and sent off for tests to determine if infection was present. Also had me go in for blood tests.

My doc just gave me Skelaxin for my back pain and said it might help. I have been trying to cut back taking hydro and I don't want to take anything that is going to make me woosey. I started into therapy last week and it is really making my back hurt. The nurosurgeon I saw said I have from L-1 to S-1 messed up and he does not think surgery would help any. So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.

oh and broke down and took a muscle relaxer. skelaxin. this shouldn't be a problem right? found an old script. ibuprofen was not cutting it.

not really..skelaxin is not sedating as a rule..i am glad ur klonopin dose is not high...but possibly the reason u can not sleep is because of the adderall/as it is an amphetamine...u r taking sumpin to get u hyped up..then u r having to take sumpin to slow u down so u can sleep...do u see the cycle here? A muscle relaxer like zanaflex, baclofen, flexeril..many more can help right now..skelaxin may help a bit tho if u dont have the others...do u have any phenergan?

I dont mind helping him because I know it suck getting off of them. I think he is still taking the hydo tho. Can someone still get high if there taking the subutex? I dont want to help someone if all they are doing is still getting high.

The muscle relaxer the dr gave me is Skelaxin. Anybody else ever try this. I read on drug ******* the reviews and some people said it really helped without making them dizzy like most of them do. Man I sure hope it helps so I can keep weening off the hydros.

I am 62 years old and have been treated for high BP for over 15 years. I have been taking Toporal XR 25 mg. 3x qd, H ydrochlorathizide 5mg 1x qd for the last 2 years. I woke up Tuesday morning with my head spinning, very dizzy. I took my BP and it was 180/111 pulse 55. This whole week it has stayed between 160/100 to higher and the pulse lower than I have ever had. I went to the doctor, could not see my regular doc but saw the one handling urgent care Thursday.

I was diagnosed at age 16, and have been on several powerful medications. Skelaxin and Relafin are two which have helped most, but go to a doctor and explain the pain you are experiencing to them! If they are a good doctor at all, they will help you to alleviate the pain with a mix of medication and physical therapy as they did with me. I wish you the best.

Today, my neuro suggested i try SKELAXIN (muscle relaxer) for the spasams I am experiencing. I will start those tomorrow. It says take 3x a day, every 8 hours. And if need be a 4th one can be taken. Does this sound right ........every 8 hours?? Please tell me what you think. I pray that everyone is doing ok. This limboland is really taking its toll on me and my family. Have not worked since Jan. that is putting a strain on us finacially. Not to mention, all the worry about my health.

I have had some kind of cold/flu, sinusitis (all in one) for about three weeks. Finally I went to the doctor she prescribes antibiotics, anticough medicine etc. I also developed somehow a muscle spams around my neck aparently due to excesive coughing. The pain became the worst ever to the point of tears. The doctor prescribed skelaxin 800mg, it didn't help, then I added 400mg Advil.. The pain somehow got better, but still there. So Went for Motrin 800mg with Skelaxin, didn't help.

I will try to avoid them right now tho because they make me sluggish and I am already fatigued with my cut in dose of hydrocodne..anything can be abused...skelaxin is a fairly safe muscle relaxer.....

my liver count I was told today is 333 they told me it should be between 4 to 40, mine sounds very high to me. What should I be doing now? What does a high count like this mean? Iam in the middle of a detox so I won't be drinking anymore, is there anything else I can do to lower my count or is it not possible to lower such a high count. Does a count like this mean my liver is damaged and is it beyond repair?

However, I do not see any way to do that without putting the fetus at risk from medication. Currently I am seeing a pain manager who has me on oxycotnin 30mg BID, Skelaxin 800mg, and Flector patches. I want to know how it would be handled if I were pregnant. I'm sure I am not the only woman in the world who has back problems like these and want to have more children. Im doing so good, not that I want to abuse it, but the pattern shows if addicting, abusable drugs are put in my hand ill use em the wrong way. i read a post saying lyrica is a controlled substance?! And that is gets you high? Im scared I should fill the script i need help have no idea what kind of medicine it is?

I now see a substance abuse counselor, I had to go through a drug evaluation when I first started seeing her, I scored to having a high substance abuse problem. My addiction? Focalin, instant release. I always told myself I wouldn't get hooked; now I'm honestly sitting here today, typing this to you..and I'm lucky that I'm still alive. I don't know how many lines you do a day or if you snort them daily, but I was an every day and every night user..

My question is why do youth use nyquil to get high, or change their stste of consciousness? What are the dangers of abusing nyquil? Why do kids engage in this practice? What could be their mottives? How might a parent approach their kids to discourage this?

Dextromethorphan can produce a high simular to PCP and ketamine they are classfied as dissociatives!! If your clear about this im sure noboby will think your using PCP and in fact its nothing less than a false negative!!
