I have severe chronic back pain due to an auto accident I was in many years ago. I've been on several different muscle relaxers including Skelaxin and Flexeril. Skelaxin did not help me at all but Flexeril did. The Flexeril worked great for many years until it stopped and I had to switch to a new med and that's when my Dr put me on the Soma. The Soma does work great but I struggle to keep it under control.
I am on Norco an was on Soma a few months ago. I have muscle pain as well as arthritis and nerve pain in my back so the Soma did help with the muscle pain. Now that I'm not on Soma my back just burns with muscle pain. I really want to go back on it. Soma works right away when you take it. The only drawback is that it will make you sleepy.
As the result of a back injury in February, I began taking Soma and 10 mgs of hydrocodone at night to help me sleep. I took no pain killers during the day, just Skelaxin. I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night.
I HAVE ORDERED MY ALINIA, SKELAXIN AND REQUIP FROM CANADA. YOU DO HAVE TO HAVE A VALID SCRIPT. ON MY REQUIP AND SKELAXIN I JUST CAREFULLY PEELED LABELS AND COPIED THEM AND FAXED IN. I USE PROGRESSIVE RX. JUST GO TO THEIR WEBSITE. FROM WHAT I RESEARCHED THIS ONE IS CHEAPEST, SEEMS TO BE ON THE UP AND UP.
all he wants to do is give str=roid injections, the only relief ive had was soma c from a ear throat and nose doc ...when i tried to fill it, i found out it was blocked from my pain man doc, he gave me zanaflex that makes me fall asleep told his nurse that it makes me fall alseep ...he will not see me ....he has his nurse see me. I am in so much pain i was ready to go to the er last night.....2 slipped dics stenoisis , arthistis bone spores, pinched nerves arm and leg numb. migraine headaches.

First let me tell you that I'm sorry for the discomfort. The meds you have are not meds that can help you type of pain. You need a stronger Muscle Relaxer like Flexeril or Soma. These will work much better than Skelaxin which in my opinion is the "Baby" of the Muscle relaxer meds. It is wise to stay on an anit-inflammatory like Motrin but you might want to try 800mg Ibuphropen (sp) Also.
Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!
I have 2 bulging diclsc in the lumbar fegion that are sitting on the l4 l5 nerve and sciatic nerve. Plus arthritis in upper lumbar region. I have been on so many meds and the only thing that helps is percocet. Any suggestions? My doc wants mue on thelonger acting meds with minimal break through meds. I dont do well on oxycontin, any suggestions?
I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.
A few years latter I went to cymbalta and that work and recently the insurance said no and I went thru the process again and nothing happed. What other medication is out there? It is so hard to get up in the moring because of the pain I have to crawl to the shower to have the warm water loosen me so I can do my fibro stretches in order to function. I have read some of the people who take narcs for the pain. Are you aware that narcs can make it worse?
I have been seriously involved with my girlfriend for quite some time now. In the past, she took 3 or 4 350mg Soma per day for back pain. Recently, she ran out of Soma and immediately began showing hallmark signs of withdrawal from Soma. (I checked them out on several websites and she was a TEXTBOOK case of this...
I would let the vet know what had happened just so that if you DO end up having to take him to the office in an emergency (if the pill makes him sick) he will know what has happened.
That is a lot of Soma even when use to it, 15 a day will still affect your motor skills memory and a few other things..add the xanax I do not think functioning properly would define it.. We all have a past maybe it is time to deal with it.. If you just started the xanax I would suggest giving them to someone you trust you are taking way to much.. The soma has to be tapered as does the xanax ... I'm awake if you would like to talk..
i am new here. I read a few forums and such. Me and hubby take Lortab and Soma. Soma's like 15-20 a peice at night just to sleep. I take about 9 Lortab's a day and he takes god only knows how many a day. Between the both of us we go through 90ish every other day. We get some legitamately and some not. We want to stop now. We are scared of withdrawals and neither one of us can afford to miss work or let our families know.
me and my wife have been taking vicodin and soma up to 20 times a day for the past 6 or 7 years, we have tried many times to stop. I get most of our pills from mexico. She already has depression and only gets severely depressed when we don't have our pills. I used to be strong but now I find myself so weak, what can I do? Before something bad happens, we have 2 young kids too, otherwise I would go to a rehab.
I will try to keep this as short as possible. I know you generally don't titrate but if someone could help me a bit I think it may be the only way I'm going to possibly make it.
I had back surgery, as told pain was from collapsed disk. Pain didn't leave and I was told the pain would go if I got off the pills. Went Rapid Detox. Pain stayed. Ended back on pain meds. Was told when I built up back pain would leave.
I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know.
I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".
I take Hydrocodone 10/500-4 times a day, Soma 350mg-4 times a day, Celexa 20mg-once a day, Lipitor 20mg-once a day, Enjuvia 0.9mg-once a day, Motrin 1600mgs a day, Asprin 350mg-4 times a day, all these everyday for over a year. I had to take pain management urine drug test and it tested positive for Benzodiazepines and they said my Soma didn't show up at all.
