Skelaxin and benadryl

Common Questions and Answers about Skelaxin and benadryl

skelaxin

Today I woke up at 12pm and took my vyvanse at 4 pm. I know it's stupid but its 2 am now and I can't go to sleep. I do have cyclobenzaprine, skelaxin, benadryl, and even alcohol if any of these can help me fall asleep. What should I do?
As the result of a back injury in February, I began taking Soma and 10 mgs of hydrocodone at night to help me sleep. I took no pain killers during the day, just Skelaxin. I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night.
Try and keep youself distracted -( movies, games, books, hobbies, whatever) And maybe use melatonin, benadryl (my favorite), sleepytime (celestial seasonings) tea - for sleep problems. My sleep is just getting back in order after almost 3 months....yours wont be as bad I'm sure...and I did it!
Most muscle relaxers are not too terribly physically habit forming..of course anything can be mentally...I think my friend is hooked on benadryl! I have taken 5 mg flexeril for chronic back pain for years and never had any problems with it...I will try to avoid them right now tho because they make me sluggish and I am already fatigued with my cut in dose of hydrocodne..anything can be abused...skelaxin is a fairly safe muscle relaxer.....
Have you ever tried Skelaxin. It is a muscle relaxer that has a low chance of drowsiness or side effects.
not really..skelaxin is not sedating as a rule..i am glad ur klonopin dose is not high...but possibly the reason u can not sleep is because of the adderall/as it is an amphetamine...u r taking sumpin to get u hyped up..then u r having to take sumpin to slow u down so u can sleep...do u see the cycle here? A muscle relaxer like zanaflex, baclofen, flexeril..many more can help right now..skelaxin may help a bit tho if u dont have the others...do u have any phenergan?
6 Brain MRI showed 4 dots frontal area which he was given no explaination no tumors or bloodclots to report, EEG-ok EMG- (not a good test) showed pinched nerves neck, Ct scan ok stress test ok used rhythm card 1 month ok, Ent said not vertigo possible cervical vertigo, muscle spasms in neck used tens unit, skelaxin, neurontin, zanaflex and still the same no improvement, the neurologist he been seeing says no explanation , another says wires crossed due to neck trauma and were to go back several
At the time I did not know what caused it but I did some research and found out. Never took the stuff again. Skelaxin is a muscle relaxer that was the least sedating for me. It also did not seem to do anything for me, so again, I stopped taking any muscle relaxers. If you need the sedating effect to help you sleep, I found that flexeril did a great job for putting me to sleep. Just be careful because it also has a hangover effect for some people the next day, kind of like Benadryl.
I have tried everything under the sun as well and I had one good combination before I had to go on the state insurance. The meds were Lyrica, 75mg, Skelaxin 800mg, Vicodin 500mg, Cymbalta 60mg, and Gabapentin.
i currently take effexor, elavil, adderall, mobic, percoset, skelaxin, toporol, xanax, synthroid, rozerem, taclonex (topical ointment), imitrex, furrosomide, b12 &folic acid. and in the last year have been on and stopped taking depakote, neurontin, quinipril, zyrtec, ultram, avinza (time release morphine), trazadone, and 300 mg of toporol, instead of the 100 mg i take now.
As for the tardive conditions, I am on Klonopin, Flexaril, Skelaxin, Methocarb and Tizanidine. In addition, after a presentation from a researcher from Columbia I started the natural rhemedy rhodiola and found it to be of great help. Additionally, I am in a study for tardive psychosis though I know that condition hasn't been confirmed yet ,my psychopharmocologist is aware that I may meet the criteria for it.
neurontin is not habit forming nor many side effects associated with it used also for chronic pain patients vs narcotics/Lyrica//the new replacemnt for nuerontin//is becoming a drug of abuse//neurontin is not a drug of abuse//course some peeps will abuse benadryl..but neirontin is a safe drug..thi I knows... Does ur girlfriend have a serious seizure disorder? I ask because a wd symptom from soma is seizures...normal dose is 350mg 2-3 x a day as needed for muscle relaxation...
When the dry heaves started one of my kids called my doctor, got his back up and he told us to go to another hospital. There they took all kinds of tests ,the doc said iPad overdosed on benadryl , which is bad, they admitted me and put me on an I V . Oh BTW they observed I was in a lot of pain and gave me a shot of morphine. Needless to say I want the first hospital to tell me why they released me.
Vioxx can also help if you're having tension headaches, and there are plenty of non-addictive alternatives to Soma for muscle relaxation (Skelaxin, Flexeril, Norflex, and Robaxin, which is available legally through OTC Internet mail order from Canada). Elavil and Pamelor, two older & nonaddictive antidepressants, are often used to prevent chronic headaches (though they don't treat headaches in progress).
We started with over the counter, Aleve, Advil, Tylenol, for prescriptions I'll just list off the trade names, Medrol, Treximet, AlleRx, Indocin, Nasonex, Skelaxin, Lexapro, Ketorolac, Elavil, Lyrica, Fioricet, Topamax, Prednisone (injections), Xanax (which helped, but left him unable to function, he didn't want any more of it), Naproxen, Compazine (which he still takes on occasion though for anxiety, not pain), Vitamin B1, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Neurontin, Vitamin B-complex, Vitamin D, Feverfew,
Alittle of my back ground that maybe someone else may share. I Have never smoked tobacco. I take Nexium, Skelaxin and have migraines when the weather changes. About 2 weeks ago I developed a bad cough, started taking Mucinex and then most recently Zocor for cholestorol. Now The cigarette smoke/smell is all around me day and night, even in the shower and everywhere-where I know there is NO smoke! I hate it!!
