skelaxin and benadryl

I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night. As I type this it is 3:45 and I've been up since 2:15. I am having difficulty functioning at work because I am exhausted.

Try and keep youself distracted -( movies, games, books, hobbies, whatever) And maybe use melatonin, benadryl (my favorite), sleepytime (celestial seasonings) tea - for sleep problems. My sleep is just getting back in order after almost 3 months....yours wont be as bad I'm sure...and I did it!

Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!

I think my friend is hooked on benadryl! I have taken 5 mg flexeril for chronic back pain for years and never had any problems with it...I will try to avoid them right now tho because they make me sluggish and I am already fatigued with my cut in dose of hydrocodne..anything can be abused...skelaxin is a fairly safe muscle relaxer.....

I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.

I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know. I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".

t take during the day,as I have small kids and it made me VERY sleepy!) Then I was put on Skelaxin and I feel like that does nothing( 800mg. 3x day) I could take 2 at one time and still...nothing? I think I'm going to ask to go back on Flexeril(for bed time) to reduce my pain and spasms) Thanks!

So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.5) and try this Skelaxin and let me know in 3 months how your doing. I have really tried to cut back on the hydro but my back hurts so bad it wakes me up (when I can sleep). Please let me know if any of you have had any experence with this for back spasms. Thanks.

oh and broke down and took a muscle relaxer. skelaxin. this shouldn't be a problem right? found an old script. ibuprofen was not cutting it.

Well I just got back from seeing my dr about the myleogram I had and they pretty much just said I had from L-1 to S-1 messed up and not much they can do. Take the pills and try the therapy and message for awhile and then let us know how your doing. I had got down to 1 1/2 a day through my weening process but my back was hurting the whole time. I think I am still going to try to keep cutting back and see if I can quit when I can take a few days off work.

I suffer from panic attack and got imsonia my doctor give 50 mg of benadryl to sleep but she use to give 5mg so if safe for me to take 50 mg of benadryl to sleep.

FTM and 18yrs. 21 weeks. Do any other mommys take a benadryl before bed? My doctor told me id be fine to take one before bed everynight. I have restless leg syndrome and have a really hard time getting comftorable at night and falling/staying asleep. I was just wondering if i'm the only one that does this? It helps me a lot.

Yes benadryl is fine to take during pregnancy.

I told my doctor about how I itch at night and he said I should try Benadryl to help but one pill didn't do anything on the box it says I can take two but idk if I should being pregnant pease help and soon itching driving me crazy!!

Yes ive taken it bc I have allergies and I am not able to take my allegra or singular during pregnancy and my dr says benadryl only safe med to take...

web md says yes. I was wondering the same thing. I'm 15 w 1 d and have extremely itchy skin all over my body and the tons of lotion I put on does nothing.

Yes but be aware baby will probably knock out too so if you don't feel your baby as much that's why.. I took it and I didn't feel my baby move for 3 days and the dr told me the Benadryl doesn't only effect you but your little one too .

Anyone else taken benadryl and had the baby barely move the next day? Its on my doctor's approved-drugs list so I took it to help me sleep last night. All day today I've barely felt the baby kicking. Not worried, just curious.

It will help you fall asleep when the coughing and sore throat keep you up but I took robitussin for my cough (dr recommended me take it) and ended up having to take a z-pak antibiotics to get rid of the sore throat and still trying to get over the cough

be careful however, of tinnitus (effects the ears) I used to take benadryl every night and now have a case of tinnitus a constat buzzing/ringing in my ears..I've heard of other people having the same impact.
