People tattoo artist do not use the same needle you cannot get HIV from an unshared needle. That's the most ridiculous comment I've read. HIV is serious. No one should say you can get it from a needle unless it is shared and if you are visiting a tattoo artist that doesn't open a clean needle from a sanitary pack that's scary in its self.
The risk of infection is high and the risk of sending the fetus/baby into shock is extremely high.
when i arrived at the studio i had to wait 20 mins while the artist set up and when he called me into the room everything was laid out in front of me and i saw the new needle in the pack, new little pots of ink and new paper covering the bed but because the tattoo was on my back i didnt see him put the new needle in which as got my really worried.
It takes time to toughen up, it took about six weeks for me. Warm compresses will likely help, spend as much time as possible without a shirt on or anything rubbing up against the breasts. After you're done nursing you should express a little more milk, rub over both nipples and areolas, and let it air dry.
Talk to a lactation consultant. They can help you out a lot to make sure your latch is good and that you're not having any other issues.

In second situation I went to tattoo shop and take one tattoo on my hand. he used new needle and take it out from pack, but before making tattoo he used razor ( i am not sure its new/ old) to remove little hairs from my hand and after that i noticed their is no cut by razor also before using razor he used AXE deodorant firmly on my hand...now i am little worried about that razor or tattoo making ink/equipment can transfer infection.
It's not even safe to get one immediately after. You have to wait six months.
I just turned 18 and i decided to go and get a tattoo, the only thing i researched and that i was told by others is that its fine as long as it doesnt get infected... Is that true? Or could i miscarry?
This was about 9 days after our tattoo. He then told us to come back in six weeks. We did so, and had HIV and Hep C tests about 7 weeks after the tattoo. Both were negative.
I just read from Dr H that PCR tests after 9.5 days are 95% and HIV tests after 6 weeks are 95%, and my doctor says 6 weeks is the new window period as does the HIV person who does the testing at the hospital here in Sydney (doc sends blood to hospital for testing).

After telling my friends about my tattoo they totally freaked me out. I'm getting tested on Monday (I was tested before 6 wks after my tattoo) what are my chances of testing positive? I'm worried sick.
You should be fine my sis didn't know she was prego and went to six flags and drunk and a tattoo at.
I can have a few on the weekends and also can still get a tattoo from a reputable place and not any jailhouse or street tattoo artist that got me in this mess in the first place...Ive been lucky...most are not....although sometimes I think my right side still feels a bit "full"..but no actual pain....wonder if this will subside over time and after I lose a few pounds.
Today was injection day - Week 39. When I went to refill my pill container, I discovered I missed two AM doses, six pills. Will this compromise my treatment? I guess my emotions got the best of me and I just forgot. I guess I should tell someone cant"t do a thing till Mon. tho.

I tested negative for HIV antibody at 10 weeks, 3 months and 6 months. I tested negative for HCV at 10 weeks but then REACTIVE at 6months. RIBA test is not available due to some recall but HCV RNA PCR test showed negative and non reactive.

I recently had my first tattoo done at a pretty reputable place, and I would like to know the possible risk of contracting a disease such as Hepatitis C from being tattooed. I normally get blood work done every six months to a year that is mandatory for my job since we are high risk, How long should I wait after receiving my tattoo to get tested for any possible diseases.
