2062815 tn?1342885289 I feel for you. I worked out twice a day five time a week before I got pregnant. Now I am down to once four ats a week due to the Army's Pregnancy Pt program. I asked my on the same question and this is what she told me. "it all depends on you body and your baby" I was like WTF. Now I actually see what she means. I am 18+4 and I am always hungry. I eat six or seen meals a day small but healthy and when I wake up I am starving. My advice is not to worry about it.
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.

My 17 year old son decided six months ago that after he discovered he had normal cholesterol/ blood pressure, he wanted to get fit. He kept coming home from fitness class feeling very disappointed because after just a few minutes he had to sit down feeling nauseous. Strength train consistently and follow a hypertrophy, or muscle building, program. That's a high frequency of training sessions, with each session being of high volume. Rectus abdominus muscles like all muscles in your body require a rest from strength training, so allow 48 hours of recovery time between training sessions.
Avatar f tn I am currently participating in the Lance Armstrong Live Strong Fitness program at the Edison, NJ YMCA. It is a free 12 week fitness program exclusively for cancer survivors. I love it. I have a personal trainer for 1 full hour 2x a week, followed by 1/2 hr relaxation class, which is just as important as the fitness piece. I am in a small group of 6 people. I started in the pilot program 8/3/09 after finishing my radiation treatment on 7/31/09, I am now in the regular program.

Avatar f tn Oh, please, guys, you both know that not everyone or very many people will ever have six pack abs. Why would we want them anyway unless you watch too many TV commercials? You're both just selling something you want to be true because you both do it, but I'll bet a lot (if I had a lot) that Gymdandee for sure doesn't have six pack abs.
Avatar n tn The workouts would consist of 1min cardio and 4 cycles af strengh then another cardio 30 min total.. About six weeks in after a workout I felt dizzy, nausea, head ache and had to quit. The PT said go to the dr. The next work out was very light cardio and strenght training. My heart rate went up to 190 and stayed weel above my target heart rate the entire workout. Even when I was on the floor it stayed elevated! THe ekg and heart monitor showed nothing out of the ordinary.
Avatar f tn Many articles written about the flat abs fantasy. One geneticist stated its all in the genes for having a six pack. The goal should really be to decrease belly fat. I work out a lot, but my body just will never have the Hollywood abs mythos and I am fine with that. You are right. Its not normal.

Occasionally, something iritates my lungs and causes me to get worse and end up on steriods/asthma medicines for several months. 7677085 tn?1395374075 I ran 6 days a week. From the time I was six until I was twenty four. I got a full time job and couldn't run as much. I started back running in April 2013 shortly after I found out I was pregnant after nearly passing out after a run my obgyn said I couldn't run the remainder of my pregnancy. I don't really know why but I do know I was out of shape. But I lost that baby shortly after so I would talk to your doc before you start that task. Good Luck.
Avatar f tn While I applaud your efforts, and I think that any sort of well planned fitness program is a good thing, I am unaware of any data that suggests or supports that an exercise program can alter the natural history or progression of scoliosis, or can decrease the curve.

I've become accustom to ladies coming up to me and commenting about how low and how big my baby belly is. However, this morning, a lady said, "You are really going to lose your baby weight fast because you are carrying just in your belly and no where else." I could not believe it. Made my morning!

Avatar m tn As stated in my first post it was my doctors advice to start an exercise program, I recently had an annual physical and was reported things were ok, also had exercise stress test done by a cardiologist which I was told I was ok but needed to start an exercise program since a heart scan showed some moderate blockage. I already eat very little sugars or fats and try to only eat complex carbs.
Avatar n tn It starts with diet. Belly fat usually comes from eating too many simple carbs, such as sugar and white flour. That's why when it's really big it's called a beer belly, because beer is a lot of simple carbs. As for exercise, there are a million good ab exercises you can learn at your local gym. Cardio also helps with this. Don't expect a six-pack, most will never get there, but you can tone it but it will take work. Only you can determine if that work is worth it or not.
