1432897 tn?1322959537 So in that little session we spent talking we worked through steps 1,2,3,4,5, and were now at step six. I knew what my defects were and I knew that I had to be rid of them. I wanted to be rid of them. I thought I was ready so I moved on to step seven. When I asked for them to be removed I was surprised at how much they clung to me. Over the next week I kept pretty quiet. I was doing all I could to let go. I could feel them slowly being removed. It was like mom pulling off a bandaid.

Avatar f tn I did all this research super early so to adjust myself to the idea of pregnancy and birth. You can do it when you feel comfortable but I suggest you dont wait until the last minute. The further along you get, the more your gonna want to focus on relaxing and preparing for birth. You should get it set in your head first how you want to go about doing this so your prepared for your preparation. For example, you dont want to wait until week 39 to pack your hospital bag.

1432897 tn?1322959537 I think this was my hardest step. I found out I had way more character defects than I thought. It was hard, but It was such a relief to get them off of my chest, but also found it way easier to deal with my problems If I actually faced them.
Avatar n tn Kevin, also I read that u should not take inteniv with a high fat diet, However, she said that he must take it with a High fat diet...I totally disagree with her by what I read.
Avatar n tn I am one of the few on here, that has experienced a bit of jaundice, and it was accompanyed by slightly elevated bilirubin, a couple points above the norm, on my labs, off and on, but the bilirubin wasn't as high as it would have been, if I was cirrhotic. At the times when I had the elevated bilirubin, I also had itching under the skin in my upper arms, on the outside. This is also when my eyes would look yellow.
Avatar f tn The same problems you are trying to ignore by self medicating will STILL BE THERE when the pills are gone. The longer you ignore them the harder it gets to manage them. A pill free life is WORTH the battle! I was slowly killing myself with the narcotics and didn't even realize it... I have thrown everything into getting and STAYING clean... Its the first thing I think about in the mornings now....A PILL FREE LIFE! You guys are really amazing..YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!
1145691 tn?1291478338 Anyways, one weekend while I was there (I was 18 by then), I was drinking and doing drugs with my step-brother (I know, bad, but I was a teen lol) and we were playing pool and having fun, I was really starting to feel "accepted".. Anyways, I was wasted by bed time, and so was he.. My half-brother was asleep on top bunk-bed, he had lower bunk-bed, I made a bed on the floor..

1394601 tn?1328032308 There is an old scripture from the zen school of buddhism of which I am not a member but found wisdom in it throughout my life. It's "One step, two step, three steps, four steps fall down. One step, two step". A simple enough teaching that needs no teacher to understand. You fall down, you get up. But they never address when you fall and can no longer get up. When I realized what MS had done to my body, I searched our scriptures.
Avatar f tn I don't mean to be rude and truly it's none of my business but she is two she is going to have temper tantrums. I just think maybe u should breath and handle it as an adult. You saying she is trying to be your friend now and u want nothing to do with her etc sounds pretty petty. Either way even if your pregnant with this guy or not that little girl is his daughter and sounds to me like he needs to deal with the tantrums and such.
Avatar f tn Just go to the website of the store you would like and look up registries. There should be an easy step by step guide.
Avatar f tn My apologies to everyone. Just a little confused about the actual step-by-step process of actually starting tx. I was assuming ( I know...don't do that) I would be starting tx immediately after next appt with Hepa Dr. 1) GP dx me with HCV thru necessary bloodwork and did GT 2) Sent me to Hepa Dr and he ordered additional bloodwork, MRI, and liver biopsy 3) I have all of the copies of test results so through this forum and research...I know what I am in for 4) Next appt with Hepa Dr...
Avatar f tn Does your son call your husband step dad every time he refers to him? Or call him by his first name?
Avatar m tn So, I was feeling pretty good after that, but still a little freaked out. So at 5 weeks past the incident and got an HIV by PCR test completed as well as another Herpeselect test done. Both were negative. I was still wondering but I decided that I was probably fine. Until week 13. I noticed a small area on the underside of my penis, kind of by the base that was a little red. It didn't hurt or itch at all. I also had some leg pain.

Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.

1432897 tn?1322959537 Remember back in step three when we decided to turn our will over to a Power greater than ourselves. This step for me actually tests how well I turn my will over. The main thing that I need to understand is that I get well in God's time not mine.
1492418 tn?1289149263 nothing like a little immersion, decided to go to a mall in another town to Christmas shop, from hardly leaving the house a couple weeks ago, to a Christmas party, to a crowded shopping center days before Christmas. Thought i must have lost my mind to agree to this (all be it with my safe person), but went, and had some uncomfortable moments but made myself stay. I reminded myself i don't have psychic ability and can't imagine a future truth, helped sooo much.
1432897 tn?1322959537 I have one of those brains where the hamster wheel turns regardless of weather the hamster is on it or not. Work is very busy and it sometimes takes a bit for my brain to slow down. This step is one that I need to get better at. There have been times where I set aside 15min to say a little prayer and then meditate on that prayer. For me that is basically just letting my mind relax and settle in on what the prayer is focused on. However I don't do that regularly enough.
Avatar m tn Staying off is one of the hardest things you will ever do. Thats my experience. And ps not saying withdraws are easy by any means. They are living hell but that only last about a week of feeling really really bad. The mental part of coming off of pills is a life time. I hear its possible though!!
1432897 tn?1322959537 How do we get a spiritual awakening? Working the prior 11 steps. By working the prior steps I have learned about honesty, willingness, humility and open mindedness. I have learned how to honestly appraise myself and admit to any harms I may have caused. I have learned how to face lifes challenges head on instead of hiding from them. I have learned a new way to live.
1432897 tn?1322959537 The step I fear.. Everytime I get to this step I have to revert back to step One. Its frustrating. I know I need to get over it and just keep truckin forward. Thanks for the post girl. I like seeing these here, alot of addicts dont get that they need an aftercare program to help themselves continue in their recovery. So thank you for reminding me what I need to be focusing on.
