Common Questions and Answers about Six pack diet female

six-pack

Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.

Avatar f tn I've been exercising for long time and i can feel my six pack (when i push my finger on my belly) but it's hidden under a layer of fat. Why? What should i do? Any tips?
Avatar n tn Hi Everyone, I have been trying these for months and months but it doesn’t help me anymore. I am talking about six pack abs that I am trying to get. I joined a gym for this and the trainer told me that I would get them…but NOOOO!! That did not help me and later on I have tried a few tips that I have been suggested by my friends but that also was of no use (the whole thing helped the abs a little…but not as I wanted).
Avatar n tn However, the length of time it takes to get-six pack abs depends upon your gender, how consistently you train and whether or not you have an excess amount of body fat. Strength train consistently and follow a hypertrophy, or muscle building, program. That's a high frequency of training sessions, with each session being of high volume. Rectus abdominus muscles like all muscles in your body require a rest from strength training, so allow 48 hours of recovery time between training sessions.
Avatar f tn Exercises to pull in your tranverse abdominals (think of those as a corset around your core, the rectus abdominals are those which make a six pack) are planks (side and pushup position), isometric holds (think holding a pullup bar and pulling your legs up straight and holding for a few seconds at a time). But focus on your diet to get rid of stubborn belly fat. Cardio will also help shed the excess fat. Try walking on an incline for 20 mins, then build to jogging intervals for 20.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis 2 years ago. I spent 17 days in the hospital and received high dose oral steroid treatment to treat it. It went away; however, the problem has resurfaced. My doctor has recommended I start a six food elimination diet. My question is: is there anybody doing this diet and how are you avoiding these foods? They seem to be in everything at the store. MY SFED consists of egg, milk, seafood/shellfish, tree nuts/peanuts, soy, and wheat.

Avatar f tn For me, hard work hard physical labor such as yard work, lifting, perhaps building a wall with stone ... this was the type of work that got me a six pack, but at the same time I was losing weight for a health problem (Celiac) so my body fat got low.

Avatar f tn m not woken in the middle of the night with the need to use the bathroom, it seems to be limited to the mornings. No weight loss (have actually inexplicably gained nearly 30 pounds in the last six months), no fever, itching, nausea or vomiting. Some background: I am a 30yr old female, no children. Formerly a heavy smoker but down to less than a pack a week, hoping to completely quit soon. Rarely drink alcohol, at the most maybe two or three beers in a week.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm new to the boards and don't really have a diagnosis yet. I'm a 44 year old otherwise healthy female. I've had one visit with a gastro who thinks I have something stomach and acid-related based on symptoms, history, and limited other tests. I won't go into my other symptoms, but have posted them on the general gastroenterology board (and colon board - which I really don't think it's colon anymore). I am scheduled for an endoscopy tomorrow.
Avatar f tn You get a flat stomach by dieting, any exercise will help build some muscle there but most people have a six pack underneath the fat already, and everyone has a "flat stomach underneath the fat.. This is why and on skinny guys don't count :P Also, a lot of people's pooch or whatever you call it has a lot to do with inflammation of the digestive track.

Avatar f tn Oh, please, guys, you both know that not everyone or very many people will ever have six pack abs. Why would we want them anyway unless you watch too many TV commercials? You're both just selling something you want to be true because you both do it, but I'll bet a lot (if I had a lot) that Gymdandee for sure doesn't have six pack abs.
Avatar m tn I had a GFR of 53% about a year and a half ago. I went hard core with the kidney diet for the next six months and it raised to 65, and then I still did the diet but not as stringently and my numbers rose to 74% at my last test about a month ago now. This is unusual, usually the diet will just help you maintain your numbers, but it is still important to follow if you do have chronic kidney disease. And it also means no ibuprofen, aleve, aspirin, anything that is considered an NSAID.
Avatar f tn Hey! I recently treated a client of mine with similar symptoms except for the fact that she was much older. Also it seems that you are losing your immunity due to very low cal (and thus low nutrient) intake Try following these simple tips: 1. Include a gigh quality multivitamin - multimineral supplement to your low cal diet. 2. Drink plenty of water. 3.
