Six pack diet and exercise

Common Questions and Answers about Six pack diet and exercise

six-pack

Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.
Avatar m tn A push-up not only helps you to get a stronger upper body, but also a stronger midsection. It incorporates the stabilization muscles of your core, combining an upper-body pushing movement with a plank. It is, in fact, one of the best and most basic exercises for your midsection. Push-ups are a higher value plank.
Avatar m tn First you're only 16 so you're still growing. But understand this! The steps to get the low body fat levels necessary to show six-pack abs are very, very strict than those you'd have to do to drop a few pounds and reach a healthy weight and, may not even be possible, depending on your genetic makeup. A six-pack is when your body fat level is low enough to reveal the segments that divide your front sheath of muscle fibers on your torso.
Avatar n tn Hi Everyone, I have been trying these for months and months but it doesn’t help me anymore. I am talking about six pack abs that I am trying to get. I joined a gym for this and the trainer told me that I would get them…but NOOOO!! That did not help me and later on I have tried a few tips that I have been suggested by my friends but that also was of no use (the whole thing helped the abs a little…but not as I wanted).
Avatar f tn Exercises to pull in your tranverse abdominals (think of those as a corset around your core, the rectus abdominals are those which make a six pack) are planks (side and pushup position), isometric holds (think holding a pullup bar and pulling your legs up straight and holding for a few seconds at a time). But focus on your diet to get rid of stubborn belly fat. Cardio will also help shed the excess fat. Try walking on an incline for 20 mins, then build to jogging intervals for 20.
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.

332074 tn?1229560525 I know exactly what you are going through. I exercise as well, but found it hard to lose weight and keep it off. I had to focus on why I was overeating in the first place. The fad diets did not work and neither did the constant exercise that accompanied my bad eating habits. The Dr. is correct, although you are exercising you are probably still consuming too many calories to actually see results. Hopefully, this will be a great resource to start you on your way.
Avatar f tn Dieting is probably a no. Eatong healthy is a yes, but make sure you eat often so you get all of the nutrition you need in a day. Exercise should be limited until you talk to your doctor. Every body is different. I am 7 weeks, and i am not allowed to exercise because i have a past of anemia. So, just either call your triage nurse or ask at your first appointment!
Avatar n tn I started working on a regimen of herbs and diet improvement and they went back to normal this year. Then, I did some backpacking trips this Summer and now they are sky high again. I was unaware that strenuous exercise could cause this to happen. Can someone explain why strenuous exercise causes liver inflammation to occur? I will try to work the enzyme levels back down again, and I guess my backpacking days are over.
649848 tn?1534633700 It helps my back pain and relieves my anxiety and stress. With a good diet and regular walking it kicks starts my weight loss. Once I plateu I try to walk further and a little faster.
Avatar f tn m afraid my new diet plan is not helping. I now eat alot of fruits and veggie and only have one serving of meat a day (usually a chicken cutlet the size of my palm). I run almost every alternate day and cycle occasionally. The average distance I run each time is between 5km to 7km; sometimes 8km on a good day. I usually complete my 5km runs in 40-45 minutes. Do you think I need to increase my meat intake to build more muscles so I can burn off more fat?? Thank You.
Avatar f tn Is it possible to reverse hypo with diet and exercise? And once you start meds is it possible to not need them in the future?
Avatar n tn Just go to You Tube and look up ab exercises. There will be a million of them. The above post is referring to interval training, and that's going to be hard to do if you can't get away from your kids for awhile, and isn't going to be easy to do if you've never done it. Again, none of us know what your physical condition is right now, so we can't know how much you can handle.
Avatar f tn You get a flat stomach by dieting, any exercise will help build some muscle there but most people have a six pack underneath the fat already, and everyone has a "flat stomach underneath the fat.. This is why and on skinny guys don't count :P Also, a lot of people's pooch or whatever you call it has a lot to do with inflammation of the digestive track.
Avatar f tn Hi, i'm 13 years old and i do not know what to do. My friends say i'm not fat, but i feel like i am. I am 7 stone 13 pounds and i do gymnastics 18 hours a week. I am not sure whether to go on a diet or not. Also, i am trying to get a six pack, but i don't know how to do so. I do sit ups and leg crunches but should i go on a diet too??
Avatar f tn s in the past three weeks through diet and exercise. In general I am probably feeling a little better.) Thanks for your time and any feedback.
Avatar f tn Most patients I know use prescription meds along with natural treatments like heat, ice, massage, reiki, acupunture, homeopathy, diet changes, exercise, and more. I do believe Reiki has helped me take fewer meds but I still have the disease. With proper, aggressive treatment you may be one of the lucky ones that achieves remission. RA is a real disease with real, sometimes fatal, consequences if left untreated. It affects so much more than just joints - eyes, skin, internal organs, etc.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately there isn't enough information about what you're exercise routine is. If all you're doing is cardio and legs...... You're not necessarily going to lose weight and it definitely won't get you a six pack. You're nutrition is going to be about 90% of it but if you want to see those abs you're going to need to change up your routine.
Avatar n tn A nti-depressants CAN pack on the pounds, personal not Scientific, depend on the med and your response to it. Or it could cause weight loss. I think Lortabs play a role in the binging, the combo, then again personal not scientific. What I's do is freak because i wasnt getting enough exercise knew the anti-dep could pack th weight on and wait as long as I could for a real meal. Snacking here and there.
