Common Questions and Answers about Six pack challenge 2010

six-pack

Avatar f tn I've been smoking for about six years. A pack lasts me 2-3 days. I can go a day without smoking no problem. Why can't I stop then? Am I truly addicted or is it just in my head?
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.
Avatar n tn We all know that no amount of sit-ups or crunches will give you a six- pack! A six-pack is the result of a clean diet as stated above, low body fat and hard, hard training. Crunches are what I consider a good "finisher" at the end of your core training, poor form often results in not much else than a sore neck. Instead, work your core with dynamic stabilizing moves.
Avatar f tn I've been exercising for long time and i can feel my six pack (when i push my finger on my belly) but it's hidden under a layer of fat. Why? What should i do? Any tips?

Avatar n tn You are having child number SIX---- where does she fall in the pack and do you expect too much of her? Something is really bothering her and from your post, you say it is around you. Could you perhaps relfect on your relationship with her and why she would always be upset around you? She may need more attention and she deserves it. It isn't her fault you have lots of kids----- I know you are stretched thin for time, but she sounds like she can use it.
Avatar f tn For me, hard work hard physical labor such as yard work, lifting, perhaps building a wall with stone ... this was the type of work that got me a six pack, but at the same time I was losing weight for a health problem (Celiac) so my body fat got low.

Avatar f tn Day six of withdrawal! I have mixed feelings this morning, but I know that's just my brain testing me. On day six my arms feel prickly almost, like running into a cactus. It comes and goes bit overall I feel pretty good. My mood is my biggest challenge right now. It would be so easy to just give in, find a pill and pop it just to make this melancholy mood go away. Why is this so hard? I'm fighting myself everyday, every hour. I know there will be ups and downs.
Avatar f tn Today was injection day - Week 39. When I went to refill my pill container, I discovered I missed two AM doses, six pills. Will this compromise my treatment? I guess my emotions got the best of me and I just forgot. I guess I should tell someone cant"t do a thing till Mon. tho. Thanks for being there - Lynne P.S. Took 2 tranquliziers, haven't needed them for a long time.
Avatar f tn I need to pack my daily lunch healthier than I have been any suggestions

Avatar m tn Thank you for your advice. He did give me a six day dose pack of steroids - I notice my ears seem to flutter more now - don't know if that's good or bad. Did your problem just go away on it's own? No loud pop or anything?
Avatar m tn A push-up not only helps you to get a stronger upper body, but also a stronger midsection. It incorporates the stabilization muscles of your core, combining an upper-body pushing movement with a plank. It is, in fact, one of the best and most basic exercises for your midsection. Push-ups are a higher value plank.
Avatar m tn Right now I am on my 5th week after a total knee replacement. They took out a partial knee replacement that I had in 2010 and put in a total knee. Because of my tolerance to the pain meds, I still had a rough time of it in the hospital. I came home with percocet, which I was able to get off of after about two weeks. I changed to the Norco 10s (my DOC). Well I took them pretty much as prescribed, but that means i took them every four to six hours even if I wasn't in terrible pain.
