Avatar f tn Three years ago I passed on that was bigger, and at that time it was calcium oxalate. This time it is calcium phosphate. I have been drinking about a half of a glass of lemon juice a day(diluted), and am trying to cut back on my sodium, but want to know what kind of dirt I should follow to prevent more stones. I drink a good amount of water a day already and I am vegetarian(I eat eggs and dairy though). I am worried because it was horrible passing the stone.

Avatar f tn The Vit-D tablet I was taking that caused the adverse reaction contained dicalcium phosphate, which appears in many tablets as well. My regular vitamins had both magnesium stearate and dicalcium phosphate. I also looked into Provgil ingredients, which I did not feel well when taking :o( and it contains magnesium stearate. It seems that these binders have been causing the adverse reaction, if these binders were listed first or second on the ingredients list.
Avatar m tn Of the total number of subjects [N=3884] in Phase II and III clinical studies of Sitagliptin, 725 patients were 65 years and over, while 61 patients were 75 years and older. No overall differences in safety or effectiveness were observed between subjects 65 years and over and younger subjects. While this and other clinical experience have not identified differences in responses between the elderly and younger patients, greater sensitivity of some older individuals cannot be ruled out.

1916673 tn?1420233270 I'm looking more into phosphorus and phosphate binders, which can be a very confusing subject for many owners. There are many different binders available and vets often seem to have their own particular preference. I hope soon to put some information into a more straightforward article, rather than the somewhat complex information available on the Internet.

Avatar m tn Earlier this year, researchers reporting in the Archives of Internal Medicine said the risks of oral sodium phosphate solutions and some oral sodium phosphate tablets were rare but real, particularly for elderly patients. Dr. Hemant K. Roy, an associate professor in the department of medicine at Evanston-Northwestern Healthcare in Illinois, writing in an accompanying editorial in the journal, described the findings as "quite alarming.

The only medicine I take is Phosphate Sandoz but no matter how much i eat phosphate high food or take the medicine, my body doesn't recognize it, and no doctor understands where does the phosphate go. Now I am 19 and have both hip fixators , and have had around 10 spontaneous fractures.
Avatar n tn If you are truly desperate, grab a bottle of generic magnesium phosphate or Fleets PhosphaSoda at the pharmacy. Make sure you drink plenty of water with these products as they work by pulling water from the rest of the body and sending it to the colon. Don't want you to get dehydrated!

Avatar m tn s been on IV for 48 hours now, and although absolutely full of life and energy, his BUN is still 46 (UK) and his phosphate 5.19 (UK). All of his other levels have came down. Vet is continuing with IV for another 48 hours and said if there's no change I'll have to make a decision... I'm not an idiot, nor in denial, but I can't imagine Tommy being put to sleep because these levels are still high? He has so much energy.
Avatar m tn On my labs, however, I had low vitamin d-25 and low serum phosphate (2.0 mg/dl). My doctor gave me vitamin d supplements and then I started taking 2,000 IU per day. Recently, I had another blood test and my serum phosphate had dropped to 1.6 mg/dl with normal being 2.5 mg/dl - 5 mg/dl for the lab that did the test. Is this something I should be concerned about and pursue with the doctor or is this normal?

Avatar f tn I also noticed that although my AST and ALK Phosphate are within the normal range, they are definitely a bit higher now than in August & January. Could this mean something? I do have my blood tests for the last few years all the way back to 2007 and my ALT has always been in the range of 12-20 and my AST in the range of 13-15 and my ALK Phosphate in the range of 52-68. 1134609 tn?1269272200 I have never had any luck when I have been placed on the generic brands of medications. Celexa especially; I was on it for 10 years, tried the generic several times and paid for it. 3. I have also been on Neurontin for the past 10 years. In a past post, I wondered if they decrease in dosage is what was causing me so many problems. However, I am back on the brand name of the medication and there's a HUGE difference between the two.
