Avatar m tn Of the total number of subjects [N=3884] in Phase II and III clinical studies of Sitagliptin, 725 patients were 65 years and over, while 61 patients were 75 years and older. No overall differences in safety or effectiveness were observed between subjects 65 years and over and younger subjects. While this and other clinical experience have not identified differences in responses between the elderly and younger patients, greater sensitivity of some older individuals cannot be ruled out.

However, maintaining good cardiovascular fitness through diet and exercise is always the first recommendation by most physicians. The test information would be establishing a reference point for subsequent tests going forward.
Avatar n tn I would like to know if cardiovascular exercise would help reconstruct damaged lung tissue. Does it repair tissue faster (like a rehab scenario?) How do I improve my air intake? (I know that smoking causes the alveoluses to fuse, however is there a way to reverse this trend? How do I expel the tar accumulation in my lungs? I have quit smoking and would like to know if my cardiovascular activity is beneficial, rather than dangerous.
Avatar m tn I've had several anaphylactic episodes (flushing, pressure in head, rapid heart rate, near syncope) in the last year and I've had persistent symptoms ever since the third attack in February of this year. These symptoms usually manifest as achiness/pressure around my sinus areas and dizziness and I occasionally experience pain in the back of my head/upper neck as well. I also experience numbness/tingling of the affected areas of my face from time to time.
Avatar n tn I am writing on the connection of cancer in general (but breast cancer is specific) on cardiovascular risk associated with breast cancer. I am aware that treatment, whether it be chemo or radiation, can cause issues but I have been unable to find anything to support that the cancer itself causes problems. My prof assures me that it does. If anyone could help me out, or point me in the right direction on this topic I would be very grateful.
