1657910 tn?1302372061 OK, now I have my grammer wrong. I always thought the CAT had the short "a" sound and that the "crate" was the long "a" sound. Anyway, I go with the "cat" sound. Emphasis on the "lo" sylabul. Gran-u-lo'-ma-tous.

Avatar f tn The problem is everyone is going to screw up the pronunciation and spelling. It will get annoying to her as well as you.
1512722 tn?1313697879 I vote for Grayson Connor and Amellya Ann if you want the pronunciation to be A mell eee ah, and Amelya Ann if you want it to be A meee lee ah. [If you want the pronunciation to be more like rhyming with Aurelia, then maybe Amaylya or Amaylia.
432779 tn?1364494875 So we found out we are going to have a girl and we have picked a traditional Irish name as we did with our son Fionn. It is Caoimhe (pronounced Kee-vah).meaning beautiful, gentle , kind, precious. I really want to keep the traditional spelling but think that people are going to have a really hard time with it. I would appreciate some advice .Please bear in mind that there are many little girls called Siobhan pronounced shuh-vaun and people got used to that.
Avatar f tn re not sure if we have the right spelling for the pronunciation we want.. Uh-Lee-Uh. we want that pronunciation, any spelling suggestions for that would be great! :) Thanks so much!
Avatar f tn I really like Irish names, particularly ones that are not used much any more, even here in Ireland. My friend's little girl is named Fia and it means 'deer' or 'wild thing'. I also love Saoirse (meaning freedom), Gráinne (a derivative of the word of love), Roisín (meaning little rose) Reiltín (means little star) and Aoife. You'll have to look up pronunciation of all of these online, as the Irish language has a completely different set of pronunciation rules to English.
Avatar f tn I have 1 daughter and 2 boys already. The name is cute. ... as for pronunciation people may get confused how to pronounce it because of the I.....I would think you could say it 3 ways ale-onna, ale-anna or alayna. I'm not sure what pronunciation you were going for but I think there all nice. Congrats!
1546730 tn?1312854492 I voted Cyrus. That's how I would spell it.
Avatar m tn Of the total number of subjects [N=3884] in Phase II and III clinical studies of Sitagliptin, 725 patients were 65 years and over, while 61 patients were 75 years and older. No overall differences in safety or effectiveness were observed between subjects 65 years and over and younger subjects. While this and other clinical experience have not identified differences in responses between the elderly and younger patients, greater sensitivity of some older individuals cannot be ruled out.
Avatar m tn I asked my doctor about the method of HIV and aks her is it EIA? She said yes. She spoke the whole name of the method. Pronunciation was like "en-ter-tise" blood test....Is that kind of EIA? One more thing, do all the clinics have license to do HIV tests?
Avatar m tn Statin drugs are not well proven for women, and may contribute to the insulin resistance. Weight loss and very low carb diet may result in independent improvements in lipid profile.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you don't like the name 100% but feel obliged to use it. Maybe in that case, you would be able to use it as the middle name and not the first name? Then the spelling wouldn't matter that much. I am not too big on giving a kid a name that is said in the usual way and trying to make it "clever" or "unique" by changing the spelling.

5727805 tn?1378193052 Any one get annoyed when people pronounce their baby's name soo wrong!? My son's name is zaidan (pronounced zay-daan) and it's like people don't even try to pronounce it right!! People say zy-den,zaiden, zy-eden. I mean come on!!! Even after I tell them it correctly. Anyone else have this problem? I feel so offended when it happens. I don't like telling people the names we have planned for this next baby because of they way they mess up pronouncing the name.
Avatar f tn Could b unisex.....I just love out the box names....I think with a strong middle name it would a great fit.
Avatar f tn I immediately read Leila as Lay-la. And personally, I think Leila is prettier looking than Layla. The Laila suggestion, I'm not a fan of to me that would read as Lie-la.
Avatar f tn I'm looking for boys names that have nice meaning and pronunciation. Any suggestions?
1124862 tn?1303850973 i think they should be closer in pronunciation.. like maybe taylor ann and haley grace.... or something of the kind...
2025592 tn?1348156019 I'd go with the more common spelling of Sebastian, just because it will change the pronunciation. I like all of your name choices, but you might also think about what nicknames are likely to come from them...some of which you might not like as much. My mom named my brother Rafael and loved the full Spanish pronunciation, and spent his childhood telling people, "His name is not Ralf!" lol.
Avatar f tn What do you ladies think of the name " Aela" for a girl?
Avatar f tn So cute

I also just started 150mg of Ranitidine twice a day for my stomach pain that makes me always feel nauseaous, and 100mg of Loratidine once a day for allergies. and today im starting taking Vitamins that i had stopped for a while.
Avatar m tn Got full upper dentures ten days ago. I'm 58 and have sung for a living for years. Was scared spitless leading up to the procedure. 1-procedure was completely painless, got a great dentist at affordable dentures. 2-gums tender, but NOT painful. 3-dentures fit like a glove. 4-all fears about pronunciation and "re-learning to sing" were for naught! Sang this weekend exactly like I always have (used Fixodent for the first time, to be safe, rather than sorry).
8765540 tn?1407588917 Some names are a little tricky to spell or pronounce, but you are picking a pretty standard well-recognized name and creating a completely unexpected pronunciation of it. I think your daughter will have to go through life continuously correcting people on how to say her name. In any language, the name Jeanette starts with either a hard J or soft J sound. You can listen to it here (kind of cool link, actually): http://www.forvo.
