singulair

Avatar f tn My Dr has recommended I try singualr along with Allegra and flonase. He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?
Avatar n tn 2 years ago he was put on Advair disk inhaler, Singulair, and Allegra D as his regimen. After about a month he started having a problem with his legs and groin itching. He took himself off the Singulair as that is what he decided was the problem. He has gotten by with just the Advair inhaler. In the past month he's really been struggling with breathing problems.
Avatar f tn t have an appointmet with my doctor for two weeks. I had been taking singulair and zyrtec but I stopped until I can clear it with my doctor. Are these medicines safe and if not is there a safe one out there?
Avatar f tn I was on symbicort but that made me to anxious. Singulair made me too anxious too. My daughter takes singulair every night and still has asthma and allergies flare ups. Veramyst nasal spray works best for me and nasonex is ok. I don't know which antihistamine medicine works best, I've tried them all too and they all have a side effect,.
Avatar n tn I am currently taking Allegra-D and Singulair for my allergies. My doctor had prescribed me to Pata-a-Day Eye Drops as well, but they became too expensive and weren't working very well, so i switch to an over the counter brand. My medicine is obviously not working very great either. Does anyone know of an effective treatment that will help me with this? Thanks.
Avatar f tn About six months ago I was diagnosed with severe sinus disease and allergies (apparently I'm allergic to everything except trees). My doctor prescribed Allegra, Singulair, and Q-Nasl - each once a day - along with three allergy shots every week. Within days of starting the regiment I began to experience random, complete numbness in my hands/arms and sometime in my feet/legs. At first I didn't think too much of it, but as it bdegan happening more often I began to question it.
Avatar m tn Hello, From the symptoms it can be contact dermatitis or eczema. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, Solvents, chemicals, certain foods, food additives, plants, metals, cosmetics, even urine and faeces of some animals (dust mites). The mainstay of management is liberal use of moisturizers after washing with luke warm water. Soap should be used minimally.
453255 tn?1205792176 Yes, the medications I take for my allergies and asthma daily are: allegra (24 hour), singulair, alvesco, oxeeze, rhinocort, sometimes ventolin, and sometimes benedril.
Avatar f tn I take a lot of medication. Singulair, Advair, Flonase, and Allegra. When I get a sinus headache I also take Allegra D. I started getting allergy shots too. Im allergic to mold too. Have someone clean it or remove it if possible (within your financial means).Wear a mask when you have to be around it. All of this is extreme and a lot of work. I am a mother of two, my sweetheart works 7 days a week, I don't have much help either.

Avatar f tn I'm 43 years old. Heathy and fit. I've had an allergic reaction to the cold since I was a child. It varies all the time some years worse than others. I break out in hive or develop a rash up my arms or my eyes or lips swell up. It is winter time now and I've noticed I am having a very hard time taking a deep breath. Not all the time, it seems to get really bad when I'm cold. Could this now be a new reaction I'm getting.
Avatar f tn Does anyone have strange tongue sensations? My tongue feels like I burned it drinking coffee too hot, or something, even though I didn't. It feels like it is irriatated or scratchy or some weird thing. I'm new to this whole disease process, so I was curious if others had experienced similar issues?
Avatar m tn Hi there, I understand your frustration because I've been going through this for two weeks now. My allergic reaction started when I ate a fry that was mixed with shrimps. Sure enough the bloodwork showed I'm allergic go shrimp. Claritin and benadryl won't do much. She can try allegra and I've been told zyrtec is good. Allegra makes me super drowsy and causes muscle aches but everyone tolerates it differently. She should see an allergist.
Avatar n tn What is better for allergies allegra or claritin? Whats stronger Loratadine or Fexofenadine?
Avatar n tn Then I went to an allergist, he ran some tests, and found out I was allergic to dust ad that was pretty much it. He prescribed me more allegra, and then on my second visit prescribed me singulair and then also gave me instructions to change my diet, soap, and detergent. None of this has worked. At some point I had thought that it was a fungus and read online that Head and Shoulders or Selsun Blue would help but none of these did.
Avatar f tn I've been dealing with this the past year, and I see an allergist. She hasn't been able to determine anything. My problem started with swollen eyes. They weren't itchy, but I could feel my sinuses swell a bit along with my tear ducts swelling. I took an antihistamine, which I haven't taken in a long while. The antihistamine alone was okay, but combine it with using my contacts, and my eyes swell. I don't know if it's the saline or contact solution.
Avatar f tn ” This is not a time to rely upon albuterol and/or Singulair. That would be dangerous. This is an urgent matter and should be approached as such. You and your doctors should not just assume that this is asthma. You should have a Chest X-ray and a complete blood count (CBC). If you are now raising mucous (sputum) with your cough, a specimen of that should be sent to the laboratory for culture. Do not delay seeking help, even for one more night.
Avatar n tn Cannot get an appointment with gastroenterologist until May 27 (Allergist is currently coordinating treatment). Currently on Allegra, Zyrtec, Singulair, Doxepin, and Colchicine for hives, Wellbutrin & Topamax for bipolar disorder. Previously on prednisone, up to 80mg/day for 2 weeks, with no relief in symptoms.
Avatar m tn With all these doctors, they have me on an antibiotic, steroids (short term), prilosec twice daily, zantac once daily, omnaris nasal spray, and allegra d. I haven't had any changes in my wheezing though. Anybody have any ideas? I have an appointment to go to an ENT in a couple of weeks, but the allergist says they usually can find the same problems as them. It's difficult to talk too much because of the lack of air coming in to my throat area. Any ideas anyone?
Avatar n tn He kept me on Singulair and also put me on Allegra in case I had a hidden allergy. Well, those things didn’t work, so about a month and a half ago, I was referred to a pulmonologist. He told me that based on my normal test results, that it was probably just my asthma and to come back in 6 months while keeping everything else the same. So 4 months after the initial symptoms appeared, I’m still not any better and I’m wondering if it is just my history of asthma like he says.
920032 tn?1550680156 You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
Avatar m tn Whoa, Nelly. Regardless of whethr or not you use Singulair you absolutely positively MUST always carry around an emergency albuterol sulfate inhaler. MUST. Do not pass go. Do not collect two hundred dollars. While these cost as much as sixty dollars each in the United States Wal-Mart had a generic brand for sale (in store only) for less than ten dollars. I also question the use of a blood pressure medication for anyone suffering asthmatic attacks unless absolutely positively necessary.
