Avatar n tn ------------------------------------------------------- Vacuum-assisted biopsy (brand names, Mammotome or MIBB) allows physicians to perform accurate breast biopsies on women with breast implants. Prior to the advent of vacuum-assisted biopsy, women with implants typically had to undergo open surgical biopsy if breast cancer was suspected. Unlike surgical biopsy, vacuum-assisted biopsy is a percutaneous ("through the skin") procedure.
Avatar f tn Actually, if your nipple still has feeling, the chance are high. Breast augmentation (breast implants) isn't a reason alone not to be able to produce breast milk. Most likely, it depends on the kind of surgery you had, but most approaches are compatible with breastfeeding. Incisions made under the fold of the breast or through the armpit shouldn't cause any trouble. A "Smile" incision around the areola increase your risks of breastfeeding complications.
Avatar f tn I prefer breast implants to be placed under the muscle. I have very little breast tissue and have heard that people with no breast tissue or little breast tissue will get better results if the implants are placed under the muscle. And I will most probably be getting implants within couple of months. I have already talked to a surgeon Dr. Robert Backstein of Steeles Avenue Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Toronto, but haven't confirmed of getting the surgery.
Avatar f tn I had implants 3 years ago (crease incision) and have been going to specialist preparing to breast feed classes for mom's with implants, because some have lost nipple sensation or have had areola incision it may be more difficult but not necessarily impossible to feed.
Avatar f tn Yep you can breastfeed even if you have implants. My sister got silicone implants and went from a size A to a full C and breastfeed just fine... plus her boobs still look perky after two kids while mine now feel the force of gravity and are pointing towards the ground. I'm getting implants when I can.
Avatar f tn lower my breast byt general look really satisfied me and I was only worried that incisions are on the breast and suppose to be more visible in future. Tree-four days later, when swelling and bruises diminished, I realized something like a double bubble. Also I was worried about disproportion – right implant was placed always higher. I called my doctor and ask an advice – he settled my mind that bottoming out in my case is impossible because my “before” breast wasn’t pendent.
Avatar n tn My implants are over the muscle and was done at the crease under the breast. I have two other children 1 of which I had absolutely no problems nursing, however that was before I got the lift!!! If anyone has experience with this or knows someone I would love to hear what you have to say!!!!! TIA!!!
Avatar n tn After some time, fibrosis can develop on the breast involved in surgery and radiation therapy. Implant can be used for your breast reconstruction. You should ask your plastic surgeon for the type of implant to be used for breast reconstruction. There should be an acceptable cosmetic outcome after the reconstruction. Take care.
7928796 tn?1396351929 Its really different for everyone... I know one woman who breast fed three babies a year a piece with implants and I know another that breast fed her first, got implants and couldn't breast feed her second or third...
Avatar f tn I have breast implants. Mine are saline and my surgeon and obgyn said i could still breast feed.

Avatar f tn Hi. I am 34 years old and have had saline filled breast implants for 12 years now. For the past few months I have had severe left side chest pain, back pain and left arm tingling. I now have high blood pressure and tachycardia and am on a beta-blocker for this. Recent labs show a high Rheumatoid factor and very high IgG. I am currently under the care of a cardiologist for the chest pain and will be doing further testing soon.
Avatar f tn If they are saline, leaking implants are not a risk. And currently, saline implants are what is typically used. Is one breast or both changing in size? That's another way to know if there is an issue with the implant. Do you feel any lumps? Do you do regular breast exams? There is one type of breast plant that has recently been linked to cancer which involves implants that have a textured surface. https://www.breastcancer.org/research-news/fda-updates-on-textured-implants-and-cancer.
Avatar f tn My sister has implants and she has a eight month old who is still breast feeding.... As long as your implant is behind the muscle you can breastfeed... If they put it in front then you cannot...
Avatar f tn Does any one have implants. And if so how did ur boobs look after pregnancy. How big did they get during ?
Avatar n tn I did that, and ended up getting the saline implants switched out to the new memory gel implants. At that time the plastic surgeon removed all off the questionable lump before putting the new implants in. (and the lump was really just normal tissue with the second biopsy) So, when all was said and done, it was determined that my lump was probably caused by scar tissue probably from the large rippling saline implants that I had for 10 years.
Avatar n tn I've had breast cancer twice now and also had saline implants. It's not unusual to have little twitches or small pains, you do have scar tissue in there. I would like to say and have said it before to Drs. that dismiss the pain with breast cancer shame on you. At age 32 they tried to dismiss my lump first because of my age and second because it was painful .... breast cancer doesn't hurt....WRONG!!!!!!! If I had listened to the Drs, I would not be here today. It was cancer.
Avatar n tn Sorry I posted before I was done lol I think because its under the muscle we will still be able to breast feed. I'm not sure about the sagging part I would love to know that as well. Because I was a deflated A (I was a large B before my first child) then got implants which made me a C and now I'm a D and only 17 weeks so I'm thinking I'll get to DD's at least!
Avatar f tn Mine got so big I'm worried about how they will be once the milk comes in. I was a 34D and they have went up to a DD if not bigger. I'm 37 weeks now and terrified how much bigger they will get.
Avatar f tn I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I have breast implants and really don't have alot of soreness. I'm trying to find out if this is normal with breast implants.
Avatar n tn I had a breast implant operation done in August this year and my left breast healing normal, but my right breast anytime I give my self the massage a few little knots appear under the skin, is not painful, but I am worried, and the thing about it is that I got the procedure done in Venezuela and I live in Trinidad so I cannot see my doctor, I will like to know if this is something serious.
