Recently, I have been feeling slight pain in my right kidney area, though before I'd have described it as 'my top rib' and the pain comes as I sneeze, cough, pass a constipated stool, walk too far etc, but now, today, I have been asked to call in for blood tests, and I find the abbreviations slightly alarming considering all else what clear, so I wonder if you could help shed some light please? ::Clinical Details:: Stage III CRF ::Chemical Pathology:: LFT [and I think] UTE.

At the moment he still gets breathless after walking up a few stairs and I'm not happy with this situation. He also has a persistent cough which may be linked to his medication. He does have some water retention in lower legs. At a recent appointment we were told that the ECG showed his irregular heart rhythm is now more controlled with the medication. Below I've listed 4 questions. Thanks in advance for the advice.
He had heart surgury almost 1 1/2 years ago and was feeling good, no pflegm. He is on medication for the heart ie. simvastatin, carvedilol, enalapril and digoxin and we are aware of the slight cough as a result of the medication, therefore, we can deduce that the pflegm build up is from dentures because when he takes them out, he feels much better. Have you heard of this before and what can we do about this situation.
Diagnosed 14 yrs ago with Fibromyalgia, but doesn't explain all symptoms--Citalopram 40mg helps some. Levothyroxin 25mcg. Simvastatin 20mg. I’m on oxygen at night. I’m sedentary because walking/aerobics makes me lightheaded and sitting on recumbent bike causes more pain. I don’t think it isPAD because my feet get cold easily, but my blood pressure is low and pain is not caused by exercise.
He did an x ray of my lungs and gave me prednisone tapered pack, antibiotics and codiene cough syrup. I also went before this i forget exactly when (march of 2006) he did send me for brain mri which was fine. I took it upon myself to go to a back dr. who did not do any x rays and wanted to do p.t. immediately. So i said no and was planning to find another back dr. About a month later i ended up in e.r. due to what my husband was thinking was a heart attack.

I have had cartarrh and phlegm for a good number of years and have an irritating cough when the phlegm builds up too much. The cough starts with a tickle and then It sounds like I smoke 60 a day! The cough rattles around and is keeping me awake more than it used to. I have tried Beconase spray, an inhaler which didn't work very well and catarrh remedies but nothing seems to work. I also suffer from Rhinitis and sore throat during the Spring/Summer months.

A few days ago I had five large stents put into my LAD and I get a nasty pinching sensation when I inhale. It feels a bit like a nasty stitch but deeper. If I cough it also gives a shooting pain. The pains shoot up from what feels like my left lung to my left shoulder and neck. Paracetamol rids the discomfort and I've been told to drink lots of water and the stents should settle down after a few days. Time will tell.
Also, it seems like it was easier for me to get cough/cold (which was on-going for like a-month). Taking medicine for my cough then may actually accelerate the ALT/AST in the liver too. After my ALT/AST back to normal range, all those bad symptoms are gone. Thanks goodness.
