I have a 3 year old. Lately she has been showing signs of diabetes. I took her to the doctor and she tested 180, but she had not ate in over 3 hours. That was about 2 months ago. She is still showing signs, frequent urination (and in a large amount), starved to death, cant get enough to drink, not gaining weight, and just really cranky and fussy. I was at my grandma's house earlier today and she tested my child's blood. It had been over 3 hours since she ate and her sugar was 213.
I have adopted a two year old son. He is a little short for his age but he is stalky. When we first got him about 6 months ago he would eat anything and everything you put in front of him. Now he has gotten to where he will hardly eat anything but he drinks constantly. It doesn't matter what you give him to drink he will drink all of it and instantly want more. When he is drinking he drink he doesn't just drink it he downs almost the entire drink before sitting it down.

So I called my doctor and talked to him about my symptoms possibly being diabetes. He really doesn't think that diabetes is the case because of the lack of frequent urination. He said that I would be having to get up in the middle of the night at least once to either drink or go to the bathroom, which I don't.
I believe that he was talking strictly Type 1, because I guess I am too young for Type 2?
He should talk to a doctor to find out if it's a sign of diabetes or not. I know the artificial sweetener in diet sodas has other issues of its own. It's plausible-sounding that it could be diabetes or maybe some kind of kidney issue.

Now that your 38 yrs old and the lump has grown and you think you feel enlarged lymph nodes under both armpits...I would seriously make yet another appt until you get this figured out.

Hope he is regularly screened by a doctor and signs of complications are caught early. That also will be a time his sense of immortality will be tested and a chance for his attitude to change and for him to quit.
It is normal for all young people to feel immortal and diabetics are no different. Not only will nothing ever harm or touch them but they also can be attempting to deny the existence of their condition. They simply want acceptance by their peer group and to fit in at all costs.

Hi, I am 16 years old this year, I have a history of diabetes as my both paternal and maternal grandmothers have diabetes, my paternal grandma has died because of diabetes and my maternal grandma is still as healthy. I really dont know if my dad has.. Recently, I saw my used *underwear* that has not been washed quite awhile was with quite many ants in it. They were crawling around my underwear and one of my underwear had mentrual discharge which I didn't notice until I saw ants!
