side effects of methadone use

It could be a side effect of the methadone or even an allergic type reaction to it. I remember when I took Macrobid (antibiotic) for a urinary infection, I had a high fever (102.3) every time I would take it, so I called my doctor's office and they told me to stop it immediately because I was having an allergic reaction to it. As it turned out, my father had had this same type of reaction to it a couple years before.

i want to know the side effects of saboxone, long n short term. ive been taken 1 to 2 saboxone a day. im not even into pills but when i tried it, i like the feeling. and i want to know the side effects, i heard memory loss was one? i took 2 **** tests on it and i passed. if anyone knows for sure please let me know, thank you.

I actually just went to a funeral of a guy who did that a few months ago (xanax and methadone). In fact, in just the last 2 - 3 years in my area I have personaly known 3 people who have died from that, but there have been many many more. I am not sure how long darvocet stays active, but methadone is a LONG acting medicine and it may not matter if you take the doses 12 or even 24 hours apart. Stay safe!

Terrible long term side effects,mental and phycical. My Dr.is convinced there is no long term effects , he is wrong and has no clue. Has there been any new information on stoping suboxone use. It is taking a toll on my mental and pysical heath??? pcacake.

I am 39yrs old and have been on methadone for approx 12-15yrs. This has proven to be the biggest life changing mistake i have ever made. I have not touched heroin for approx 10yrs,but between then and roughly a year ago,i also was addicted to valium,temazepam,and finally crack cocaine.

hey i cant figure out if im helping myself or hurting myself by being on methadone, my urges for doing heroin are not as intense but im experienceing side effects of meth that im not liking, such as very weird sleeping habits, weight gain and not being able to have an orgasm. but im on parolle and being on methadone is helping me stay off heroin and stay out of jail. does anyone have any advice for me?

The ones I have heard have the fewest side effects are Methadone and Suboxone, but there also the ones that have terrible withdrawls. But may people say that methadone works better than anything they've tried so are willing to take the trade off. I have also heard so little negative about Opana ER like TrayCee mentioned. Everyone I've talked to who takes it has said it has really worked nicely for them. But like mentioned above, everyone reacts differently to meds.

I am fearful of going off of the methadone due to the fact that I may use again due to the pain. I should not be in withdrawal since I have tapered myself down to the 60 mg and have been at that dose for quite some time.

Some pain meds worked but not for long periods of time. The meds for fibro had intolerable side effects for me. I have been on Methadone for 2 years now becuz i became pregnant and stopping pain meds would've put too much stress on the baby. She is 2 years old now.she's happy and healthy! My issue is that I have found out through my experience in taking liquid methadone that it helps my fibro pain for a long period of time..one dose lasts 24hrs!

t understand, and we are talking 1 page and a half of side effects of suboxone, vs. 1 small paragraph of Bupe alone, subutex. It is not here in Canada, We have a patch that lasts for 7 days with only bupenorphine in it! Very expensive! I actually find the side effects are more tolerable, still they are there!
