Avatar f tn The side effects of Incurin (estradiol) are similar to the effects of any other reproductive hormone therapy and include: hair loss, swollen vulva, swollen mammary glands, and vomiting. The most serious effect from high doses is that estrogen (the active ingredient in Incurin) may have a tumour-promoting effect in target organs with estrogen receptors, such as the mammary gland. The most dangerous effect of PPA (phenylpropanolamine) is hypertension.

Avatar f tn Estrogen-injected cattle, birth control pill residue in our rivers and lakes, rare side effects of steroid treatments, pseudo-estrogen from soy products, pseudo-estrogen from BPA in baby bottles and cans - nothing will ever be proven but there sure is a hormonal mess out there...
Avatar m tn Some sites even stated I should have been on HCG during my therapy to reduce the side effects of shrinking testicles, which I have experienced. HCG is supposed to reverse this so I'm wondering if this is what I need, or just another supplement I can buy to help me feel better and energetic again. My doctor has given me no suggestions or recommendations so ANY help is much appreciated!!!

Avatar f tn Long term pain management with opiates cause sexual dysfunction of 50% of all patients, both men and women. It causes testosterone deficiencies in both men and women, which is called hypogonadism. Docs are supposed to monitor testosterone levels, but seldom do because the topic just doesn't come up in the Doctors office. It's not just men that need to worry either, in fact it's of critical importance to women. Check it out, there's a lot more to read: pain-topics.
1178023 tn?1293733628 All medications have side effects of some kind, it comes down to what is worse what the medicine is treating or the side effects. I would talk to your doctor and see what he says and his stats for progesterone.
Avatar f tn It would be best to stay on Tamoxifen, if you possibly can, because it has a good record of reducing the rate of relapse of the original cnacer as well as reducing the risk of developing a new estrogen receptor positive breast cancer. Best wishes...
Avatar m tn Progesterone is needed to oppose oestrogen in men. If this goes on for long enough a man (yes, and a woman) can become oestrogen Dominant (too much oestrogen relative to Testosterone). By lowering stress and thus.. reducing cortisol, my progesterone levels should return to normal levels. If that is the case then why wouldn't it counter the extra oestrogen in my body automatically and remove the effects of oestrogen dominance?

216278 tn?1308861082 m on my third round of femara, and had no side effects the first month, but the second and third cycle, I did have a headache on and off for a couple of days. No tummy aches or breaking out, though. BUT, since you took such a high dose all at once, it wouldn't surprise me if the stimulation of the ovaries is causing some crampiness. Like dnikki said, you could always call your doctor and check. Best of luck!
Avatar f tn m just looking for a way to get rid of excess progesterone in my body. I also suffer from hair loss because of progesterone. I used to have thick curly hair but I literally lost half of my hair. I sometimes hate myself for all the problems I have.
282955 tn?1394730951 Hey, tea_berries! I just took my very first clomid pill today (a.m.) and I haven't noticed any side effects so far. I don't think a lack of side effects means they're not working. It probably just depends on how your body reacts to the hormones. Good luck to you!
Avatar m tn the good old DHEA, but you better read up about it first as it can have some funny side effects with the odd person, you could also back it up with some Tirbulus, will do the same thing but without any side effects, they will both boost your testosterone, your libido and your energy levels, you can google Tribulus for any more info.
Avatar n tn Hello, my wife had a full hysterectomy approximately 10 years ago and everything was taken out, EVERYTHING. She had a few cysts and her gynecologist suggested a full hysterectomy due to the fact that the cysts could come back if she were to get a a half hysterectomy. Long story short, she's a strong woman who really keeps it together but she has recently expressed that she's been battling depression.
486867 tn?1307139011 Hi my DH has been on Clomid for almost 2 months. He just started having vision problems. For the last couple of weeks he's been seeing floaters in the right side of vision. I called my RE office a few days ago and they said for him to start taking every other day instead of everyday and well see if that helps. Does anyone know if this side effect is really bad or if it can cause long term damage?

Avatar f tn Sometimes they grow before menopause and then after menopause they will shrink again. Instead of needing less estrogen, you may need more of your other hormones working to balance things out. There may be some under-activity in another area.
